The Titan Curse: A Shinobi’s Reign

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: The Chains of Power

Chapter 2: The Chains of Power

The embers of Ishigakure still glowed faintly in the cold night air. The once-proud village had been reduced to blackened ruins, its remains swallowed by the raging inferno unleashed by the First Titan. The colossal being stood motionless now, its massive body crackling with residual chakra, as if awaiting further command.

Kurozan stood at its feet, his silver eyes gleaming in the firelight. His heart pounded—not with fear, but with exhilaration.

"This is true power."

The rogue shinobi he had used as a test subject was gone, replaced entirely by the towering chakra-infused entity. Its body radiated pure energy, its muscles pulsing with an unnatural rhythm. Yet something was missing. Kurozan could feel it.

He raised his hand and spoke in a calm, commanding tone.

"Kneel."

For a moment, the titan remained still. Then, with a low, guttural growl, its knees bent. The earth shuddered under its massive weight as it lowered itself before Kurozan, its monstrous face locked in an eerie, mindless grin.

A smirk formed on Kurozan's lips.

"It worked."

Not only had he created a titan, but he had also ensured control.

The secret was in the chakra sigil branded onto its forehead—a complex formula derived from forbidden fuinjutsu. Unlike wild, mindless monsters, this titan would follow orders. It was no longer a man, no longer bound by weakness, hesitation, or mortality.

It was a weapon.

A soldier for his future empire.

Kurozan took a slow step forward, placing his palm against the titan's knee. He closed his eyes and focused, sending a pulse of chakra through the sigil.

"Show me more."

The titan stirred, its fingers twitching. Then, slowly, it began forming hand seals again.

Tiger. Snake. Ram. Dragon.

Kurozan's breath hitched. It was conscious enough to use jutsu.

Chakra surged around the titan's massive hands, blue energy sparking and crackling violently. Then, with a single movement, it slammed its palm into the ground.

"Earth Release: Seismic Rupture!"

A deep rumble shook the landscape. The cracked earth beneath them split apart, sending massive stone pillars erupting from the ground. The shockwave of power sent chunks of debris flying, carving massive trenches into the ruined battlefield.

Kurozan let out a slow exhale, watching the display of raw destruction.

"So, they don't just have brute strength. They can use elemental chakra… just like shinobi."

He clenched his fists. This was only the first step.

If one titan could do this, then what could an entire army accomplish?

A smile stretched across his lips.

He would soon find out.

The Road to Dominion

Kurozan turned away from his creation, the wheels in his mind already turning. He needed more subjects. One titan was proof of concept, but a single soldier could not conquer an empire.

His ultimate goal was simple: The Five Great Nations would fall.

The shinobi world was built on fragile alliances, its so-called peace nothing more than an illusion. Power dictated everything. Strength was the only truth.

And now, Kurozan possessed something that no other shinobi had ever controlled.

"But even with this power, I must be careful."

For now, his existence remained unknown. His enemies would not act against him until they saw him as a threat. That gave him time—time to grow his legion.

But he needed more than just test subjects. He needed resources, followers, and a hidden stronghold to build his empire.

A new empire built on Titans.

His eyes flickered toward the distance, toward the unseen lands beyond the ruins of Ishigakure.

"There is a war brewing in the west. Displaced shinobi, desperate mercenaries, lost wanderers… all of them searching for a leader."

He would give them purpose.

And if they resisted?

They would become titans.

Kurozan's cloak billowed as he turned toward the dark horizon, his footsteps leaving faint traces of chakra behind. The titan remained kneeling, awaiting command.

Soon, he would awaken more.

And when the world finally realized what was coming, it would already be too late.
