The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system

Chapter 200: Another bad day for Billi

Caishen kept his eyes on Alix who moved around like a bouncing basketball ball, delivering a meal container to everyone in the room. She was from working, had barely rested and she was taking care of his family now. She was restless, he could tell and uncomfortable too.

Still, she had a very kind heart which is why she was here even though it made her uncomfortable. A part of him felt guilty for pulling her into his family drama. This was not what she signed on for when she married him.

"Grandfather, I brought you some light prawn porridge specifically. You should eat some and warm up your belly."

As she talked, Alix lifted the small table which sat empty in one of the corners of the room.

She placed it in front of grandpa Zhang.

"Don't worry, I brought grandma's share too. She can have some when she wakes up."

Everyone else received their porridge in a food flask but for grandpa Zhang, she took a bowl from her bag.

She poured the porridge into the bowl carefully and picked up a spoonful for the elder. In case his hands were trembling, she didn't mind helping out.

She had seen him dabbing at the corners of his eyes, wiping away tears that were still flowing.

She blew on the spoon as if she was about to feed a child.

"Sister-in-law, my mother can help you. You don't need to run around all your own. Mother, come and help grandfather." Wang Yong, all eager decided to help out, without being asked.

"No." Three voices uttered at the same time.

One was Alix's, one Zhang An's and the last, belonged to Yura.

Their communal answer somehow brought a sense of togetherness among the women. It was three against one, and Na Na was the one.

Nana was already coming forward as if she had been called upon to perform a miraculous task.

Zhang Xian, stopped her however. He shook his head and dragged her back.

"It's not necessary."

Some more of that awkwardness returned to the room. Na Na pursed her lips, and she frowned. She was unwilling to be cast aside in preference of Yura who walked towards grandpa Zhang to assist him.

Zhang Yong was unhappy too, and his lips twitched but he said nothing. Just because this attempt had not worked did not mean that he would not try again with something else.

Alix in the meantime sat down besides Caishen and she picked up the spoon which he was unwilling to or perhaps too exhausted to pick up on his own.

She had seen him massage his temples twice now and she knew that he had a headache.

She touched her bag and brought out a bottle of pills. She got a few black pills and gave him two.

"Eat, it will help with the headache."

Her voice was not exactly a whisper so the others heard her and they looked at Caishen with worry.

"Are you feeling ill?" Zhang Bo who was closest to his brother asked him.

"Just a small headache." He answered.

Yura immediately switched to worried mother mode. "An An, call Rongyan and tell doctor..."

"Mother, I am fine." Caishen insisted.

"Is he...are you ill?" Zhang Xian asked, suddenly and surprisingly.

There was even concern in his voice which shocked them. He was looking at Caishen's legs, curiously.

There was also some pity in his eyes and understanding because he had been injured before as well.

It made Caishen uncomfortable and he pulled Majesty's stroller in front of himself to block of the sight of his legs.

"I am fine." Caishen insisted once more. "I am just hungry."

He swallowed the two black pills which Alix was holding in her palms and then he deliberately shoved one spoon of beef porridge after another into his mouth. There was a rigidness to his movements, almost mechanical as if he was being forced to eat.

Alix let out a slow sigh and rubbed his back. It was going to be a long day, and grandma Zhang was not even awake yet to do her own share of crying.

She got a text on her phone and she lowered her eyes to look at it.

Zhang An: [Sister, next time don't bring our porridge for that woman.]

She read it three times before lifting her head and looking at Zhang An. The sister-in-law that never liked her somehow liked her now and was calling her 'sister'. Also, battle lines were apparently being drawn already and her side had been decided for her.

Zhang An nodded and Alix sighed. Being on friendly terms with Zhang An might be more troublesome than she imagined.

Zhang An: [Sister, we are a team now, me, you and mother. That woman is the intruder here, you cannot be nice to her.]

She didn't reply and her phone dinged again, another text from Zhang An and three more followed all with the same message.

Again, Alix sighed and rubbed the side of her stomach. Zhang An would give her an ulcer at this rate.

In the meantime, Lin Billi was having a bad day. The smile and scheming she had planned was all gone because she had managed to fall down a manhole. Just as she planned, her manager had driven her to the hospital and she called a few reporters ahead of time revealing the hospital where the Zhang family was.

She knew this because the Zhang's always went to the same hospital and three times in the past, she had visited one of the elders and Caishen once, when he was hospitalized.

Of all random things to ever happen, a manhole cover in front of the hospital somehow broke and Billi just happened to be standing on top it. She was holding a bouquet of flowers and a very large get well soon card pretentiously changing angles and pretending to be on phone.

In reality, she knew that paparazzi were taking pictures and she wanted to look her best.

Lin Billi had let out a loud scream as her body fell into the manhole. It was if the ground had opened up and swallowed her.

In a matter of a few seconds, the beautiful pictures she was posing for turned into ugly pictures as cameras flashed during her rescue.

"No pictures, stop taking pictures." her manager shouted.

But it was all in vain because the cameras continued flashing.

"We will sue you for this. If I see any of these pictures online we will sue you."

As her feet were pulled out, reporters, rescue workers and people that had gathered pinched their noses.

"Did she step in shit?" A woman asked.

"I think she ate it." another woman said.

Thirty seconds later, Lin Billi eats shit was trending.

So now, Lin Billi was screaming her heart out in another VIP ward on the floor right below the one were the Zhang's were.

"Mother, get rid of it all." she shouted into her phone.

"Can't you get your CEO to do it?" her mother responded.

"Something happened to her crippled son again. I bet she is here in the hospital to deal with it. The company's PR is taking too long, I cannot stand this humiliation. It's all because of Alix. This is because of that bitch."

As always, Alix was blamed for what had gone wrong in Lin Billi's life. If only Billi knew how right she was in this case.
