Transmigrated As A Villain, The Heroines Are Also Regressors?

Chapter 150: Deals Have Consequences (2)

"Don't make another move."

A metallic voice coldly commanded.

So Lin Minyi slowly turned around and from there, saw five black armored soldiers, each equipped with a sci-fi laser gun, aiming their weapons at her from the doorway.

"Sick twisted fucking bastard…" Lin Minyi couldn't help but curse out quietly beneath her breath.

Even though she had long suspected Ronald ever since she saw the armor worn by the Golden Cobra's soldiers at their facility, she hadn't thought too much of it after he decided to let her go.

But now that he's sent his family's hound dogs straight to her and her little sister's doorstep despite them holding up their end of the "deal" until the very last second before this attack, it was now very painfully clear to her that...

'He's merely toying around with us.'

That's right, although she still didn't know why he had targeted them specifically to begin with, it was so painfully obvious that he had only pretended to help them out just so he could give them a sliver of hope back and feed some sick, twisted fantasy of his.

After all, with the amount of resources, power, and strength Ronald and his family currently has right now, there was absolutely no need for him to seek outside help and make some sort of deal with her little sister in the first place.

And sure, while he might not want Luna and her subordinates to know about his or his family's capabilities to begin with, he could have easily found a smarter alternative if he truly wanted to.

With all of that in mind, Lin Minyi couldn't help but grit her teeth and blame her bad luck for this.

Nevertheless, she simply wasn't about to just let Ronald have his way with all of this and allow this attack to go smoothly for him.

No, at the very least, she'll take down some of his pawns with her and buy her little sister just enough time to escape to the safe house... she'll make damn sure of it.

And while her little sister would've definitely tried to stop her from sacrificing herself if she were here right now, Lin Minyi didn't see any other way out of this mess, and besides...

She was alright with this ending.

Lin Minyi had originally thought that she was going to eventually die alone and in a ditch somewhere after the Golden Cobra was done with her after all.

But in the end, she had managed to reunite with her little sister and even got to spend a few extra days with her, just like the good old days.

That alone was more than she could've ever asked for.

So with those pleasant thoughts in mind, a calm and peaceful look finally dawned on Lin Minyi's face, and she summoned her white qi sword for the last time with an absolute resolution in mind.

"Come at me, you fucking bastards. Let's see who makes it to hell first."

And just like that, Lin Minyi's last and final battle had just begun.

***

After successfully sneaking out of the safe house that Iris had brought him to undetected, Ronald immediately wasted no time and quickly headed straight to the center of the capital city in order to locate an establishment that Lin Zhu might own or at least be involved in, and force her to come out and meet him in person.

Now of course, it would've been far easier if he could just show up at Lin Zhu's residence and have a simple "chat" with her there instead, but since he had no idea where she actually lived, that option was off the table.

Regardless, he didn't mind about it too much, especially since he honestly found this somewhat fun to do anyways, and so he kept on moving through the streets with a casual yet somewhat arrogant look on his face as he kept searching.

Eventually, there was an establishment that caught his eyes.

'Celestial Club KTV.'

At first glace, it might simply appear to just be another high-end karaoke bar that was made to lure people in, but upon closer inspection, he noticed that the two front doors of the karaoke bar were made up of black steel materials.

Now this was particularly odd because most of the KTVs he's seen in this area and the ones he's visited to before in his previous life generally had glass doors at the front entrance in order to show off their accommodating interior.

And sure, while that also made it easier for KTVs to get robbed, the reality of it is that nobody was going to rob a KTV to begin with...

Unless if the robbers wanted some singing equipments or something like that.

So the fact that this one had black steel doors instead of glass ones meant one thing, and one thing only.

'There's criminal activity going on here.'

But for whether or not Lin Zhu was actually connected to the establishment, Ronald couldn't say for sure just yet.

With that in mind, Ronald casually walked into the Celestial Club KTV and found himself in front of the receptionist counter.

"Welcome, esteemed customer! Which room would you like to book at? We have a few available rooms left at the Queen's hall and VIP hall if you'd like to try any of those out." A gorgeous and beautiful woman said with enthusiasm behind the counter.

"...Tempting offer, but unfortunately, I'm not here for karaoke today." Ronald took a moment to glance around the lavish red, blue, and gold-accented lobby before calmly replying back to the receptionist.

"Oh? Then how may I assist you, sir?" The receptionist's polite expression didn't waver, and she still kept a look of professionalism on her face.

"Well you see, I have this friend that I was supposed to meet up at this KTV location here this morning, but it's just now hit the afternoon and I still don't see her here yet. Could you check and see if she has booked a private room here already by any chance?" Ronald said.

"Of course I can, sir. What's her name?" The receptionist questioned.

"It's Lin Zhu." Ronald stated calmly as he closely observed the receptionist's facial expression to see if she would react to the name.

Even though he wasn't particularly skilled at reading people's facial expression, all he needed was the slightest flicker in her expression in order to confirm it.

And sure enough, the moment he had uttered Lin Zhu's name from his mouth, the receptionist didn't even move whatsoever, and she appeared as though she had just seen a ghost.

In fact, even all of the nearby employees suddenly froze and slowly turned to look at Ronald the moment they heard her name.

This clearly meant that this KTV was linked to Lin Zhu in some way, and now he was one step closer to meeting her in person again.

And honestly, his luck couldn't get any better than this!

Ronald genuinely thought that he'd have to search through dozens, if not hundreds, of places just to have a chance at finding one linked to her after all.

But lo and behold, it seems like the almightly gods from above have finally decided to take pity on him today!

Now all he needs to do is to cause a big enough stir at this KTV to force Lin Zhu to actually come out...

And he knew one of the best ways to do so while not actually revealing his strength in broad daylight.

With that in mind, Ronald began opening his mouth with the intent of saying a secret message that only criminals in the underworld would understand.

But before he could do that however...

BANG!

The receptionist in front of him suddenly whipped out her gun and fired off a few precise shots at the nearest employees before they could even reach for their weapons, dropping them instantly.

Then without hesitaton, she immediately vaulted over the counter and extended her hand towards Ronald.

"Quickly, follow me!"

"..."

'Great, now what the fuck have I gotten myself into this time?'
