Chapter 23: Prince of Elves
After my morning feeding, my mother, Seraphina, took me for a bath.
She was extremely gentle, carefully washing my hair and scrubbing my small body with so much care and precision that I almost felt like a fragile artifact.
I mean, I get it, I'm cute. But I won't break, Mom.
After getting dressed in another absurdly elegant baby outfit, I was placed on a cushioned seat while my father, Zephyrus, sat nearby, reading over some important documents.
Unlike yesterday's grand banquet, today was quieter, it was so peaceful and quiet that you could hear hear the faint murmuring of the gaurds and maids.

The Arrival of the Elven Emperor
Just as I was getting comfortable, two figures entered the hall.
One was Elaris, my mother's best friend and the Elven Empress, one i had met many times these few days. She had a regal, ethereal beauty, her emerald-green eyes held a gentle, motherly warmth as they landed on me.
Beside her was a tall, graceful man with sharp, angular features, long golden hair, and piercing green eyes. His presence was calm yet commanding, and he carried the unmistakable noble aura of a ruler.
This was Aurelius Sylva , the Emperor of the Elves and Elaris's husband.
As soon as they entered, my father put aside his documents and greeted them with a genuine, friendly smile.
"Aurelius, Elaris! Its been a while since we got to chaf," he said, standing up and embracing Aurelius in a brotherly hug.
"Indeed," Aurelius replied with a soft chuckle. "We should visit more often, but governing a kingdom and raising a child can be quite… time-consuming."
Elaris sighed, shaking her head. "More like raising an empire and a husband, it is more troublesome taking care of you than Evelyn."
Zephyrus laughed, while my mother simply smiled knowingly.
I just blinked.
So… even the mighty Elven Emperor gets nagged by his wife, huh?
[ Host, it's a universal rule—no matter how powerful a man is, the wife always wins, I saw it in the K Drama ], the system said in a sage like voice.
'…Noted.'

The Discussion
After the greetings, the topic quickly shifted to me.
Aurelius's gaze softened as he looked at me. "I had never imagined this even in my dreams , it would be your child who would manifest the World Tree's Mark…"
My tiny hand instinctively touched the small golden-green mark faintly glowing on my shoulder.
This mark was proof that I was recognized by the World Tree itself, something extremely rare even among elves.
My father leaned back in his chair. "So, you want to officially announce his status as an Elven Prince?"
"Yes," Aurelius nodded. "His connection to the World Tree is undeniable. By our laws, anyone marked by the World Tree is considered an Elven Royal—no matter their bloodline."
There was no hesitation, no hidden agenda in his words.
His tone was clear and genuine, just like my father's.
This wasn't a political move to tie me to the Elven Empire for their benefit.
It was simply a declaration of sincere intentions.
My mother, still holding me in her arms, smiled warmly. "We expected this much. Adrian is already destined to have many identities, but we have no objections. He is your family, too from now on then."
Elaris's eyes softened as she patted her chest confidently . "Of course as his aunt, I will ensure that he is always welcomed among the elves, no matter where he chooses to belong in the future."
Her gesture and tone made my mom laugh .
[ Host… I have to say, this is rare. ]
'What is?'
[ A royal meeting where nobody is trying to stab each other in the back. You really lucked out with your family. ]
I smiled inwardly.
For once, I had to agree to this annoying system I guess.
