Chapter 11: Chapter 11: The Points Mall Opens
With the appearance of Alley, the old bug in front of him was stunned.
"How is that possible? Who is this kid? Why did he suddenly summon a heroic spirit?"
The old bug couldn't comprehend the situation. The Eye of the World War had taken so long to start, yet this kid could summon a heroic spirit in advance? The Holy Grail had not even recovered yet!
Something was wrong. This wasn't an early summoning at all! The heroic spirit's appearance wasn't due to the Holy Grail mechanism!
The old bug finally realized the truth, and it terrified him. He understood that he was dealing with someone capable of summoning a heroic spirit outside of the Holy Grail's influence. Such an existence was beyond his ability to handle.
The old bug had managed to kill Richard in another timeline only because of the Holy Grail's Black Mud. Heroic spirits summoned by the Holy Grail were defenseless against its corruption.
But this was different. He began to reconsider his actions and decided to negotiate.
"Hey, hey, little kid, this is a family matter. Can you step aside? On behalf of the Roy family, I offer you my sincerest gratitude."
Hearing this, Leo looked at him as if he were trash. "You want me to step aside just because you asked? Do I look like someone who would throw away my dignity that easily?"
Leo didn't waste words on the old bug.
"Alley-chan, kill him."
"Alley-chan? Uh...uh…uh! Don't add 'chan' to my name! I am a goddess! That doesn't sound majestic at all!"
Although… it did sound kind of nice.
She kept that last thought to herself. Even though Oliver's personality had only carried over about 30%, the tsundere part remained intact.
After finishing her complaint, Alley turned her gaze to the old bug in front of her. She raised a single finger and said coldly, "Kill him? I don't know why, but I feel sick just looking at you."
Alley's body belonged to Oliver, and Oliver's opinion of Philips was nothing short of sheer disgust.
At that moment, a glowing blue light flickered on Alley's fingertip. A floating lantern appeared, radiating an eerie glow. She waved her hand gently.
ROAR!
The next second, a massive black dragon head erupted from the ground! It opened its bloody maw and lunged at the old bug!
"No!!!"
Philips screamed. He didn't understand. He had only come to retrieve his "granddaughter." How had things escalated to this point? Why was he about to die?
But no one answered him.
The massive dragon's jaws clamped shut. Philips was swallowed whole. The dragon head plunged back into the earth, vanishing without a trace.
If one hadn't seen the old bug before, they would never have guessed that a battle had just taken place here.
In the Live Room
Ryan: "This... this is incredible! Is this the power of a heroic spirit? Amazing!"
Irisviel: "Truly astonishing. Such strength is worthy of a divine heroic spirit."
Irisviel had some knowledge of Philips' strength. The fact that he had been killed so effortlessly was shocking.
Ryan: "@Warne, hahaha! Your father is gone! How do you feel about this, Warne?"
Warne: "I don't feel anything. That kind of guy is better off dead. It's just a pity… he won't die so easily."
Warne knew Philips too well. That monster could resurrect himself as long as a single engraved bug survived. There were countless such bugs in the Roy family's underground chamber.
He hadn't counted them, but he was certain Philips could resurrect himself ten or twenty times over.
Holder: "At least this time, my sister is safe. I believe that when James returns, he won't send little Alex away again."
Holder recalled the miserable state James had ended up in. For some reason, he found it amusing. He felt happy whenever his teacher suffered. Why was that?
As these discussions continued, the system in the live broadcast room suddenly chimed.
"Member Leo's first live broadcast has ended. He has been awarded 1,000 points."
"Ding Dong! Because this was the first live broadcast, a Lucky Treasure Box has been awarded."
"Now that a member has earned points, the Points Mall is officially open. All members can use points to exchange for rewards."
"Points can be obtained through answering questions, transferring gifts, signing in, holiday packages, and more."
A series of system announcements fell upon the ears of all the members.
For a moment, there was silence.
Then—
"What just happened?!"
"So many rewards from a single live broadcast?!"
"1,000 points AND a Lucky Treasure Box?!"
"Why wasn't I the first to broadcast?!"
A wave of envy and jealousy swept through the live room.
The entire chat was filled with one emotion—envy!
Points Mall Opens
Leo examined the Points Mall that had just opened.
The interface was simple but elegant. The first few items on display caught his attention.
[Item Name: Physical Enhancement Potion]
Effect: Improves physique permanently.
Cost: 500 points.
[Item Name: Skill Enhancement Scroll]
Effect: Strengthens an existing skill.
Cost: 800 points.
[Item Name: Random Heroic Spirit Summon Ticket]
Effect: Summons a heroic spirit (randomized).
Cost: 2,000 points.
Leo scrolled further. The items available were diverse, ranging from weapons to magical artifacts to rare materials.
Meanwhile, the chat room was still buzzing with conversation.
Ryan: "Leo, how does the Points Mall look?"
Leo: "It's amazing. There are all kinds of powerful items."
John Milton: "Tch, 1,000 points from just one live stream… I'm jealous."
Warne: "It's not just about the points. The Lucky Treasure Box is even more valuable!"
Bailey: "That's right! The Lucky Treasure Box can give out rare items!"
George: "Leo, open it! Let's see what you get!"
Everyone in the chat eagerly awaited Leo's decision.
Leo smirked.
"Alright. Let's open it."
He clicked on the Lucky Treasure Box.
A brilliant golden light filled the screen. The next moment, an announcement appeared.
"Congratulations! You have obtained: [EX-Rank Mystic Code: Celestial Blade]."
The entire chat room exploded in shock.
Ryan: "EX-RANK?! That's the highest tier!"
John Milton: "No way! That's too lucky!"
Bailey: "Leo just started, and he already has an EX-Rank item?!"
Holder: "Hahaha, James is going to regret underestimating you!"
Leo grinned.
The Points Mall had just opened, and he was already ahead of the game.
This was going to be interesting.
