Chapter 80: 80:- Back 3

Bladwin and Emma slipped out of the cottage, their movements cautious and deliberate. They crept through the rich golden fields that were to be harvested this season, the tall stalks swaying gently in the evening breeze.

Bladwin glanced at Emma, her face etched with worry and sorrow. She looked back at the cottage, her eyes filled with desperation. The sight was heart-wrenching. Gjallahorn soldiers, their armor gleaming menacingly in the fading light, were surrounding Jake, who was bound in handcuffs.

The soldiers dragged Jake out of the house, his face grim but resolute. Bladwin gently nudged Emma to keep moving, but she turned back again, her eyes pleading. "We need to go," Bladwin urged, his voice firm but low.Emma's eyes were fixed on the scene behind them. "What if they leave him? We can hide and then go back," she whispered, hope and fear battling in her voice.

In front of the cottage, the air was thick with tension. The sound of footsteps and murmured orders filled the space as the Gjallahorn soldiers secured the area.

A sleek, blue-and-white modern SUV, tougher and more intimidating than the standard patrol vehicles, pulled up. A high-ranking officer stepped out, his presence commanding immediate respect. The soldiers snapped to attention and bowed as he approached, his face a mask of fury.

The officer strode purposefully towards Jake, who was on his knees, his hands bound behind his back. Jake's face was swollen and bruised from the beating he had received, his breath coming in ragged gasps. Despite his condition, there was a resolute defiance in his eyes.

The officer's voice was a harsh bark, filled with barely restrained anger. "Where the hell is the Martian?" he demanded, glaring down at Jake.

Jake lifted his head slowly, meeting the officer's gaze with unwavering determination. "I don't know any Martian," he replied, his voice hoarse but steady.

The officer's eyes narrowed, and in a swift, brutal motion, he kicked Jake hard in the face. Jake's head snapped back from the impact, blood trickling from his split lip. "Don't fucking play with me," the officer snarled, his face contorted with rage. "You either tell me right now where the hell he is, or I'll make you wish you had."

Jake coughed, spitting blood onto the ground, and looked back up at the officer, his eyes burning with defiance. "What if I don't?" he asked, his voice barely more than a whisper.

The officer sneered, crouching down to Jake's level, his face inches from Jake's battered one. "Then I will make you suffer in ways you can't even imagine. Your stubbornness will cost you dearly," he threatened, his voice dripping with malice.

Jake managed a weak smile, despite the pain. "Do your worst," he said, his voice filled with a quiet courage as he smiled at him.

Jake managed a weak smile, despite the pain. "Do your worst," he said, his voice filled with quiet courage as he spat at the figure with three stars embedded on his shoulder strap.

The officer's face contorted with rage, his young, arrogant features twisted into an almost orc-like mask of fury."How dare YOU!!" the officer bellowed. In a swift, impulsive motion, he drew his pistol and shot Jake straight in the forehead.

Blood spurted out, staining the officer's pristine blue-and-white suit. But he didn't stop there. Fueled by a mix of anger and madness, he emptied the magazine into Jake's lifeless body, his face smeared with blood as he smiled crazily."This is what you get for disrespecting a Noble, you wretched insect!" he screamed, his voice echoing in the stunned silence.

The surrounding soldiers looked on with a mix of fear and horror, bowing their heads to avoid his gaze.

As the officer laughed maniacally, another figure emerged from the same SUV, cigarette in hand.

He hurried over, his expression one of disbelief. "Calvin, what the hell?" he yelled, his voice cutting through the officer's laughter.Calvin, his silver hair streaked with blood, turned to face the newcomer. "What is it, Allen? This wretch was disrespecting me, so I made an example out of him."Allen looked at the grisly scene, Jake's head a shattered mess of blood and brains. "You fucking idiot! YOU ABSOLUTE BUFFON, We could have gotten vital information from him, and you just ruined everything,"

He snapped, taking a drag from his cigarette to calm himself.

Calvin's face fell as the realization of his impulsive actions hit him. "I messed up pretty bad. It's all because of that speech Uncle Rustal gave. It got me all heated up. I shouldn't have listened to that motherfucker before coming here."

Allen sighed as he combed his red fiery hair back, exhaling a plume of smoke as it flew upwards from his black eyes . "What's done is done. Let's see what we can salvage." He turned to the soldiers. "Did you find anyone else?" he demanded.A random grunt stepped forward, saluting nervously. "No, sir."

"Have you searched the whole area?" Allen asked, his voice tense with impatience. The soldier shifted uncomfortably. "No, sir," he admitted.Allen's frustration boiled over. "Then who the hell will do it, your grandma? Move, you dumb pigs!" he shouted. The

soldiers scrambled into action, rushing to continue the search.

Allen placed a hand on Calvin's shoulder, speaking more calmly. "Man, you are a member of the Ellion Family. You shouldn't be this short-tempered."Calvin nodded, still shaken. "Yeah, you're right."

Emma, from a distance, saw the brutal scene unfold. Tears streamed down her face, and she was about to scream and run towards Jake's lifeless body, his head a mangled mess.

Bladwin, sensing her desperate intention, grabbed her firmly, his hand tightly covering her mouth. Emma struggled, her body writhing as she tried to break free from Bladwin's grip, but he held her fast.

Bladwin's heart ached at the sight, his own eyes filled with tears as he watched the horrific scene. He leaned in close to Emma, whispering in a voice only she could hear, "I'll kill these fuckers."

Emma continued to struggle, her sobs muffled by Bladwin's hand. Her movements were frantic, driven by a mix of grief and rage. Bladwin, however, knew they had to stay hidden and keep moving if they were to survive.

He held her tighter, his grip unyielding, and began to slowly back away from the cottage. With each step, the distance between them and the gruesome scene grew.

Bladwin's mind raced, plotting their next move while trying to soothe Emma's distress. They needed to find a safe place to regroup and plan their next steps.

Soon after, a Gjallahorn soldier arrived at the spot where they had been moments before, but they had already moved far enough to remain unseen. The soldier looked around suspiciously, his eyes scanning the fields, but saw no sign of the fugitives.
