Uchiha Gate: From Konoha to One Piece

Chapter 175: Hashirama, the Pirate King?

— — — — — — —

About half an hour later, Hashirama finally finished digesting the information. Opening his eyes, he looked at Kaito in amazement and said, "Kaito, you've truly given me an incredible surprise!"

"I never imagined you could travel to another world—and even take contractors with you!"

"On top of that, you've created so many overpowered training techniques. No wonder Mito, Tsunade, and the others are so strong now. Sometimes, they're even mysterious!"

"I had many guesses, but I never expected it to be something like this!"

"By the way, when can I visit this pirate world? It sounds so much fun!"

"I feel like that world is way more interesting than ours. Pirates, freedom... that kind of life sounds amazing!"

Hearing this, Kaito and the others were speechless.

Kaito frowned and said, "Don't joke around, First Hokage. For ordinary people in the pirate world, most pirates are nothing but trouble."

"Freedom? That's just a selfish illusion or the byproduct of crime."

"The vast majority of pirates are despicable criminals who pillage, kill, and destroy without a second thought."

"Sure, some might have been forced into that life due to circumstances, but very few maintain a pure heart—adventuring without hurting or robbing innocents. Those kinds of pirates are rare!"

"Not everyone is like Monkey D. Luffy, you know."

He felt Hashirama was missing the point entirely.

Then again, knowing Hashirama's personality, saying something like this wasn't out of character. In many ways, he was quite similar to Luffy—both were straightforward, and both had a unique wisdom hidden beneath their seemingly carefree personalities.

"Exactly!"

Beside him, Nawaki couldn't help but tease, "Grandpa, you're the First Hokage! Why are you thinking about becoming a pirate? That doesn't match your image at all!"

"Hahaha!"

Hashirama scratched the back of his head with a sheepish smile. "I don't think it's that bad, actually."

"Being the pirate king looks interesting."

"But..."

At this point, his expression grew serious as he looked at Kaito. "You're right, though. Most pirates in that world are far worse than they seem on the surface."

"After all, they're still thieves, and ordinary people in that world have their struggles too."

"So, do you have any plans for that pirate world? Are you aiming to unite it, overthrow the World Government, and take down the Celestial Dragons?"

Speaking of the Celestial Dragons, even the ever-optimistic Hashirama found them repulsive. "Those people are a complete cancer on society. They shouldn't exist in this world."

"Something like that," Kaito nodded. "But that's a long way off. First, we need to unify the Ninja world. Once we've fully established ourselves here, then we can think about invading the pirate world."

"For now, we're just quietly laying the groundwork."

"Actually, I discussed this with my mother and the others yesterday. We've started planning the next phase: establishing a nation or a major force in the pirate world."

"Once we gather the strongest among our contractors, we'll discuss it together and finalize the details."

However, Hashirama still seemed more interested in becoming a pirate.

Kaito figured that he could let Hashirama form a Yonko-level crew in the future, which could pave the way for change in that world.

They could establish a nation within the pirate world, experiment with reforms, and create a comprehensive education and talent system.

This would allow them to prepare for the future, ensuring a steady supply of capable individuals.

Of course, Kaito himself would have to play a major role in this pirate crew. This would help him win the people's hearts, generate goodwill, and make it easier to recruit more individuals from the pirate world.

After all, many people in the pirate world had a twisted mindset. Just a bit of generosity or kindness could make them loyal followers.

This was particularly evident under Big Mom and Whitebeard's rule.

Despite being forced to offer part of their lifespan every month, many under Big Mom genuinely appreciated her, as life without her had been far worse.

It was a testament to how chaotic and miserable life in the New World was.

In many ways, the pirate world seemed even more chaotic than the Ninja world.

"Sounds good to me!"

Tsunade and Uzumaki Mito nodded in agreement.

"Oh, by the way!"

Tsunade suddenly turned to Hashirama with curiosity. "Grandpa, where did you originally learn your sage techniques? Was it really self-taught? Grandma said you didn't train at the Shikkotsu Forest?"

"Huh?"

Hashirama looked puzzled. "How did you know I figured it out on my own?"

"As for the Shikkotsu Forest! I never signed a contract with them. I didn't even know about that place back then!"

"Amazing!" Tsunade was amazed.

"You need to know that Kaito tried the sage training methods from Mount Myoboku and noticed some issues with them."

She went on to explain Kaito's discoveries about sage techniques and the flaws he'd uncovered during his research to him and Mito.

"What? The sage techniques from Mount Myoboku—and the other two sacred lands—have such major flaws?!"

"Did the Great Toad Sage say anything about this? Was it intentional or just negligence?"

Hearing this, Uzumaki Mito's face darkened. "That's unacceptable!"

"It's hard to say for now," Kaito replied, raising his hands in a helpless gesture. "If it's intentional, the Great Toad Sage might outright oppose us and even summon the Sage of Six Paths. That's not something we want to deal with right now."

"For now, we'll just have to wait. Once we've got more Six Paths-level fighters, we can address this."

"Speaking of which, Lady Mito, do you have a preference for any particular Devil Fruit?"

"In the short term, you're one of the most likely to reach the Six Paths level, aside from my mother and the first Hokage."

"A Devil Fruit might speed up that process."

As for Madara?

If he couldn't be bound by a contract to ensure loyalty, Kaito wasn't going to bother.

It wasn't worth the effort.

"That does need careful consideration! So, we'll leave it at that for now."

Uzumaki Mito nodded in agreement. "For now, I'll leave it to you to perfect Sage Arts."

"We also need to keep this hidden from Mount Myoboku and even Jiraiya."

"And about the Devil Fruit?"

"I don't have a concrete idea right now, but I'll think it through."

She hadn't felt such urgency to improve her strength before, but things were different now.

Mito decided she needed to find a Devil Fruit suitable for herself as soon as possible to further enhance her power.

Of course, she wouldn't abandon Sage Arts either.

After all, based on what Tsunade just described and Kaito's feedback about Sage Arts, the benefits to strength were remarkable.

"Alright! You should get on it quickly. We already have the power to hunt down most of the Devil Fruits we want," Kaito reminded her.

"Soon we will enter the Pirate world to develop there."

"Uh… I didn't realize Sage Arts had these kinds of hidden dangers. Does that mean Jiraiya-nii might turn into a toad in the future?"

"Haha! Why do I suddenly feel sorry for him?"

Nawaki chimed in from the side, realizing something crucial and couldn't help but tease.

"He deserves it! Always showing off his Sage Arts to me before—now look what's happened! Hmph!"

"Even if Kaito figures out a solution in the future, I think we should make him sweat for a bit before helping him."

"Let him learn a lesson—and maybe even help me get a little revenge," Tsunade said mischievously, glancing at Kaito with a look full of intent.

She trusted that with Kaito's extraordinary abilities, he would definitely solve the problem in the future.

"Haha!"

Kaito smiled knowingly and gave her an "OK" gesture, agreeing right away.

He also wanted to see Jiraiya in trouble for once.

"Poor Jiraiya-nii," Nawaki muttered, shaking his head as he noticed their scheming. "With the two of you targeting him, he's doomed."

Then, Nawaki cheekily gave Kaito and Tsunade a thumbs-up. "Good job! If there's a show to watch, don't forget to call me."

'Ah, but then again, Jiraiya-nii has a bad reputation because of his peeping habits. He deserves a little punishment.'

'It's not like I'm a bad person—I'm just a simple guy who loves to watch drama unfold!'

At this point, Hashirama looked at Kaito in amazement. "Kaito, I can't believe you've managed to master Sage Arts all on your own—and not just one, but two types!"

"One of them is even better than my own. Impressive!"

He gave Kaito a big thumbs-up, genuinely admiring him.

Not to mention the Primal Chakra and Sage Chakra Refinement techniques.

Whether it was the Primal Chakra Technique, Sage Chakra Technique, Sharingan Meditation, Crystal Meditation, the Life Force Technique, or the Eternal Life Technique—each one was like a divine gift.

And Kaito created all of them himself.

Compared to him, Hashirama felt utterly outclassed.

Now he understood why Mito had chosen to form such a strong alliance with the Uchiha.

With Kaito and the Uchiha by their side, the Senju Clan had no reason to fear for their future. They could even surpass their past peak!

He decided he'd speak more highly of Kaito in front of Tobirama, hoping his brother would change his mind and get involved with Kaito sooner rather than later.

Oh, and Madara too!

After all, when the contract runes were linked to his soul, Hashirama had "seen" the marks and connections in his soul.

Based on the information he'd gained about the past and future of the ninja world, it was clear that these were methods left behind by the Sage of Six Paths.

He'd managed to free himself from those constraints, but Madara and Tobirama hadn't yet.

Asking Kaito to help them without a contract?

Hashirama had never even considered it.

"Haha, it's nothing!"

Kaito smiled humbly and then curiously asked, "First Hokage, I'm really interested in your Sage Arts. Would you mind demonstrating and explaining them?"

He wanted to confirm if they were as he imagined.

"Well… sure! But I don't think it'll be of much use to you."

Hashirama scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

"It's true—his mastery of Sage Arts is purely a gift from the heavens," Mito chuckled, covering her mouth.

She'd known this for a long time.

Back when she was interested in Sage Arts herself, she'd tried to see if she could learn it.

The result? Let's just say it was predictable.

Not just her—Tobirama had also tried but gave up silently after hearing Hashirama's explanation.

He never brought it up again.
