Universal Lords: Building an Immortal Fairyland from Scratch

Chapter 27 - The Timid Legendary Hero

Chapter 27: The Timid Legendary Hero

Wedding day?

Wu Chi was stunned and exclaimed, “Weren’t you supposed to be summoned after you died?”

“No,”

Qin Keqing said, a faint blush appearing on her cheeks as she pressed her lips together. “Gongzi summoned me, and now… I don’t know what trouble this wedding will bring.”

“Ahem… You’re nothing like Lin Daiyu.”

Wu Chi hesitated for a moment before saying, “From now on, you’ll be my hero. You should have received some basic information. If there’s anything you don’t understand or want to know, feel free to ask me!”

“There’s also a companion waiting outside—her name is Lin Daiyu.”

In the Lord Era, amidst the endless Void, the worlds beyond, and the realms of gods, demons, and mortals,

Qin Keqing gradually absorbed all the information.

As a hero,

much of her basic information would be automatically provided—there was no need for the Lord to start from scratch.

However,

the sheer magnitude of this shocking information left Qin Keqing feeling somewhat lost, unsure of how to communicate with Wu Chi.

She had already accepted her fate,

married off according to her adoptive mother’s wishes to Jia Rong.

But now…

In the bridal chamber,

while waiting nervously for her future husband,

she had suddenly left her wedding room and the world she knew, entering this splendid new era!

Moreover,

the man before her—he was her master…

Qin Keqing was not known for her fortitude; she was inherently weak and timid. She gazed shyly at Wu Chi and muttered,

“If it comes to the worst, I’ll die…”

But the terrifying images she had imagined did not come to pass.

Wu Chi did not come to harm her, instead, he kindly explained the situation

and even offered to introduce her to his companions?

Gradually,

the fear and anxiety in Qin Keqing’s heart dissipated, replaced by a faint warmth.

“By the way, that phoenix coronet is not very convenient.”

Wu Chi tapped his head, then took out several sets of clothes he had just acquired, smiling as he said, “Here, why don’t you change into something better?”

“I’ll listen to Gongzi.”

Qin Keqing nodded, her slender hand reaching up to remove the massive phoenix coronet.

Her long, dark hair cascaded down,

and on her delicate, stunning face, her red lips were gently pursed,

the deep red eyeshadow failing to mask the brilliance of her eyes, making her look irresistibly enchanting.

Her wedding gown, too, was extravagant—wide and intricate, embroidered with delicate patterns and various adornments.

Qin Keqing gazed at the clothes on the table, surprised by their craftsmanship.

Each piece was a masterpiece—designed and crafted to perfection.

In her former world, these clothes would have cost a fortune and were impossible to obtain even with a fortune!

Beautiful clothes always captured a woman’s heart.

Just as Qin Keqing was about to take one of them,

she suddenly remembered Wu Chi was still there and hesitated.

She wanted to ask Wu Chi to leave, but feared offending him…

After all,

Wu Chi was now her master!

After a moment of indecision,

Qin Keqing bit her lip and, with a slight tremor in her hand, slowly began to untie her wedding gown.

Soon,

with a soft clink,

the gown and its accessories fell to the floor with a crisp sound.

Wu Chi glanced up and couldn’t help but be taken aback.

Qin Keqing was now only wearing a delicate inner garment, her long hair flowing freely over her shoulders.

Her stunningly beautiful face was tinged with a slight shyness, a hint of charm, and a touch of fragility.

Her perfectly curved figure was now clearly visible, forming a perfect silhouette.

Had she been wearing those thick garments earlier, Wu Chi had hardly noticed!

“Gongzi…”

Perhaps sensing Wu Chi’s gaze, Qin Keqing couldn’t hold back any longer. She whispered his name, her voice like a soft, melancholic tune, gently echoing in the air.

Wu Chi’s face flushed,

and with a reluctant glance, he turned and walked out.

As he left,

Qin Keqing sighed in relief, glancing happily at the clothes on the table and beginning to select one.

Outside the [Red Mansion],

Wu Chi took a deep breath, feeling a dry sensation in his throat. He quickly pulled out a bottle of water and took a few gulps.

By the door,

Lin Daiyu smiled, her beautiful eyes glimmering with amusement as she spoke softly,

“Gongzi, the new sister seems to be quite the beauty, huh? You’re in such a hurry…”

“You must know her—Qin Keqing!”

Wu Chi swallowed, then added, “But she was summoned here on the day of her wedding to Jia Rong.”

“It can be done like that?”

Lin Daiyu was quite surprised.

Though she hadn’t interacted much with Qin Keqing,

she had heard of the tragic fate of this poor woman—killed by the Jia family.

“It’s for the best. If she had married into the Ningguo Manor, she would have died sooner or later.”

Lin Daiyu smiled, then glanced at Wu Chi with a teasing tone,

“Gongzi, you must be happy now, right? She’s still a maiden after all.”

“…” Wu Chi.

Wait a minute, when he thought about it this way…

It actually didn’t seem too bad?
