Vampire Harem in One Piece

Chapter 46: Chapter 46: The Exam

Monday.

Inside a classroom at Marineford Military Academy.

On the podium, Rear Admiral Tsuru was sitting on a chair. She folded her hands on the lecture desk, calmly looking down at the students below.

Among the thirty cadets, some were lying on their desks, fast asleep and snoring; some were holding a pen, lost in thought while looking at the test papers on their desks; and some were busily writing.

The full score for the test paper was one hundred points. Sixty percent of the questions were basic knowledge taught in class, while thirty percent were questions that required some thinking and calculation, and the remaining ten percent were difficult questions that could only be answered by combining the military theory and navigation skills taught in class.

Looking at these cadets below the podium, Rear Admiral Tsuru couldn't help but sigh inwardly. She highly doubted whether the number of students who would pass this exam could even reach five.

The exam had been going on for less than five minutes, and twenty students had already slumped onto their desks and fallen asleep. Most of the remaining students were frowning and hesitating, struggling to figure out how to start writing.

Dinglinglingling...!

As the bell rang for the end of class, those cadets who had been sleeping immediately perked up and woke up. After collecting the test papers, Rear Admiral Tsuru turned around and left the classroom, ready to grade the papers.

Kakei, sitting not far away, asked the silver - haired teenager across Smoker.

"Hey! How did you do on the test, Sephiroth?"

"Just so - so, I guess!" Sephiroth replied casually.

"Ha~! Exams are so annoying."

The delinquent student Smoker yawned, stretched, and voiced his opinion.

After saying that, he casually took out two cigars, lit them, and put them in his mouth.

"Hehehe! I thought this exam was really difficult. I thought about a lot of the questions but still couldn't figure them out." Kakei said with a grin.

"Humph! It's your own fault for not listening carefully in class. Rear Admiral Tsuru actually covered a lot of the content on the test paper. It was just the last question that was a bit difficult and took me a lot of time."

Kongming, sitting in front of the three of them, turned around smugly and showed off his intelligence to the others.

"Giggle! This exam was really quite challenging, right, Tina..."

Ryokugyuu, sitting behind the three of them, let out a soft laugh and reached out her hands to pinch Tina's oval face.

"Humph! Tina is very angry, and the consequences are serious! Tina warns Ryokugyuu to stop this right now!" The pink - haired girl said discontentedly.

"Okay, okay! Be a good girl, Tina. Don't be angry."

Ryokugyuu withdrew her hands with a grin and stopped teasing the other girl.

During their conversation, the short break between classes quickly came to an end.

Dinglinglingling...!

Before long, Shuji, a tall man with dark skin, walked in.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Shuji raised his big palm like a cattail leaf fan and slapped the lecture desk hard a few times before shouting loudly.

"Wake up, you all! It's time for class!

If you dare to sleep again, get out and run around the playground two hundred times."

As soon as these words were spoken, they produced an immediate effect. Those who had been sleeping instantly perked up, widening their eyes and looking towards Shuso on the podium.

"Today, we'll continue our lesson on the principles of firearms..."

As the tall and lanky man's booming voice filled the air, the cadets below the podium gradually looked blank and began to let the words go in one ear and out the other...

Dinglinglingling...!

After a long - drawn - out hour, the bell finally rang. Shuso also stopped his lecture on time, but he didn't leave immediately. Instead, he still stood on the podium.

A sly, barely noticeable smile curled up on his lips.

After a while, Admiral Crane walked into the classroom expressionlessly. She placed a stack of test papers on the podium and then turned around and left.

"Heh heh heh...! The results of the recent exam are out. Those whose names I call later, come up and collect your papers."

With a mischievous smile on his face, Shuso began to call out the names of each person below the podium one by one.

"Smoker... 0 points!"

Hearing Shuso's somewhat mocking voice, Smoker's eye twitched slightly, and his old face flushed a little.

It was really embarrassing for the whole class to know that he got a zero!

"Maynard... 0 points!"

"Freyer... 0 points!"

...

Soon, Smoker didn't feel embarrassed anymore. There were many others who got zero just like him. He immediately felt much more at ease. He even felt that he had perfectly integrated into the class.

"Kaji... 53 points!"

"Ah! As expected, I didn't pass?" Kaji scratched his head with a bit of annoyance and walked up to the podium to get his paper from Shuso.

However...

He suddenly found that the looks of the people in the class towards him had changed. He even felt emotions like surprise, admiration, and praise from them.

Kaji: "..."

What's with this feeling of standing out from the crowd?

Thankfully, after Shuso announced a few more scores, he felt that strange sense of discord quickly disappeared.

"Domino... 66 points!"

"Tina... 59 points!"

"Gion... 72 points!"

"Prince Grus... 0 points!"

"Kongming... 95 points!!!"

When Shuso read out this score, a hint of surprise crept into his tone.

"Wow!"

"He actually got such a high score."

"This is outrageous! I only got 12 points, but he got 95!"

...

More than twenty cadets exclaimed in unison. Almost all of them turned their eyes towards Kongming and kept chatting and discussing with each other.

"Alas! I didn't expect! I didn't expect that I didn't get a full score...

Is it really because I didn't fully answer the last question correctly?"

Kong Ming couldn't help but shake his head and sigh, yet the smug smile on his face, almost reaching his ears, couldn't be concealed.

After leaving his seat and walking to the podium to collect his test paper, he held his head high and chest out, looking full of qi and swagger. Then he strode back to his seat.

"Hey, we're all classmates. If you guys have any questions in the future, feel free to come ask me!

I'll surely tell you all I know."

Kong Ming waved the test paper in his hand back and forth in front of Sephiroth, Kakei, and the others, flaunting his high score and leaving everyone rolling their eyes in disbelief.

"Daddy Mustardson... 42 points!"

"Karl D. Sephiroth... 100 points!"

Whoa!

A sharp intake of breath suddenly echoed through the classroom. The cadets all stared at the silver-haired boy in shock. No one had expected that they thought Kong Ming's 95 points would be the highest, but now there was a perfect score of 100.

"This doesn't make sense at all!"

"It's just unbelievable!"

"That's terrifying!"

Amidst the exclamations of the crowd, Sephiroth walked up to the podium to retrieve his test paper...
