The humans that survived… He wasn't too sure, but they were perhaps in shelters when this happened, perhaps for dozens or hundreds of years until the world was finally confirmed to have recovered slightly, but now left as this post-apocalyptic landscape.
Part of these humans must have left the larger shelters and formed their own factions or villages, over time scrapping whatever they found from the world's abandoned ruins, technology, and battleships, forming a city like the one he had visited at the beginning of the VR Game.

It was different from normal Xenoids, their Placentoid wasn't spread out and slimy once burned, it was much more solid and could be strengthened and hardened greatly, like very hard muscle fiber. Making this monster strangely mor resilient despite not being a complete, true Xenoid.
"Looks like humans have a much older history with Xenoid than I imagined…" Blake thought. "Could it be that they were the ones that provoked them from coming to their world and chasing them? Because they used their cells to experiment on themselves or something?"
As Blake thought of such things, the aberration divided body parts attacked Gaobravelion from every angle, the tentacled cape of this giant mech helped it resist the endless barrage of fireballs from the back and massive claws from the front.
