Vile Rabbit

Chapter 134: half ascended

Inside a domain hidden in the folds of space above this world, Apexion sat on his glorious flaming throne. His starry eyes shone brightly as he gazed at the crystalline string he held in his hand.

"Finally, a fusion of laws complex enough to push me over the edge," he muttered to himself. The string he held was the manifestation of a new law he had created called [Unbreakable One].

This law was centered around the concept of will and 'self.' It was a fusion of the laws of will, mind, persistence, pain, pride, and endurance.

Once one comprehends it, one will become firmer than the hardest of realm barriers; their mind will become almost impenetrable, and they will never lose their sense of self. Their ego will forever be unbreakable, no matter how many years and how much pain they experience.

To be honest, he had created laws composed of far more laws than this, but they were nowhere near as complex.

He gently grasped his ethereal crown that was floating above his head with his right hand, the core of his existence. He then placed it on top of the Unbreakable Law. The moment they made contact with each other, they started to pulsate and clash; they were fighting for dominance.

Boom! But as quickly as it started, it ended when the Apexion Law pulsed with the concept of dominion.

Bang!

Under that concept, everything kneels; everything submits.

The Unbreakable law contradicts its existence and breaks, bowing in submission.

He then commanded in a majestic tone, "Devour!" Following his command, the crown unwove itself and manifested into a three-meter-tall obsidian ethereal rabbit-like creature, who then grabbed one end of the Unbreakable String and,

Chomp! Chomp!

devoured it bit by bit. With each bite it took, its figure shone brightly and became more ethereal.

Shing! Shing! Shing!

Soon, it completely devoured the Unbreakable Law, and its figure shone so brightly that it caused Apexion to narrow his eyes.

Suddenly, it started pulsating like a cosmic volcano that was about to erupt.

Din! Din! Din!

At that moment, Apexion's eyes flashed, and the Tree of Law and Faith appeared before him. He grabbed it with his right hand and threw it at the pulsating rabbit. It seamlessly fused with the rabbit, and,

Kleng!

the limit that was binding his law shattered. The essence of his law started to elevate at an extreme speed, and at the same time, his vision shifted, and he appeared inside the Ascension Realm on top of his path.

Immediately after he appeared, he glanced around at the nothingness for an instant before taking a step forward, and

Boom!

an indescribable explosion rang out as a new set of ethereal paw prints formed.

Immediately after, something happened that caused Apexion's eyes to narrow. The paw prints that he was standing on, along with him, started to ascend upwards at an incomprehensible speed.

Vash!

As he ascended, he felt his existence elevated, and his perception of the emptiness around him started changing into un-emptiness, gaining form.

It was as if something had created a star in a world of absolute darkness; i as if something had removed a blindfold from his eyes.

His eyes shone with fascination and wonder as he gazed at the newly revealed, endless, all-encompassing colorful ocean that seemed, no, that was formed from nigh infinite laws. Laws that were so complex that he couldn't even begin to describe them; it was as if this ocean was the source of all that exists.

Suddenly, his perception ascended once more, and he perceived something else.

Within this ocean of origin, he saw countless hidden dimensions superimposed on each other. These dimensions were in a state of chaos, twisting and shifting, never stationary, and each seemed to be the manifestation of a law.

Some pulsed pure fire, some water; others, fingers, bones, sky, clouds, fear, sitting, etc.

Some of these dimensions pulsed with an aura so grand that they caused his eyes to bleed as he gazed at them.

Soon, he noticed that he was also inside a dimension of his own; only his didn't radiate aura of a law, but the grandness of a path, his apex path. Suddenly Beng! he felt his head slam into something, and he came to a standstill.

He frowned and gazed upwards, where he saw an indescribable barrier that spanned as far as his eyes could see. It was like a ceiling; it blocked his ascent and denied him evolution. He focused on his existence and muttered,

"Not complete."

He felt that his ascension wasn't complete; he noticed that he had only half ascended, something he couldn't accept. So his entire being started to pulse as he pulled his paw backward and clawed at the barrier with his strength.

His attack was futile, for the barrier didn't react in any form no cracks, no fluctuations. It was as if it hadn't just been struck.

Countless thoughts and ideas flashed through his mind, after which he attempted to take a step off his path, only to realize that he couldn't; there was an indescribable force binding him.

'I am still too weak.'

He looked downward and gazed at the paw prints that were lower than the ones he was standing on, and the golden footprints that were below them. Then his majestic voice rang out,

"I HEREBY ENACT MY SECOND OCTROI—ALL CREATURES THAT WALK MY PATH SHALL HEREBY BE MY…."

After which he vanished and reappeared inside his body. He gazed at his crown, which was now grander and more ethereal, especially the A rune at its front; it blazed with otherworldliness.

He stretched out his right hand, grasped it, and then placed it above his head, and Bang! a terrifying force exploded from it and penetrated his body.

The force started reorganizing every fiber of his being, pushing him to a higher order of existence.

"Fifty thousand years,"

He muttered to himself as he closed his eyes as he sank into not slumber, but deep meditation, where he would devise endless schemes and plots on how he would collapse this existence-spanning game that he was intertwined in.

At the same time, within the dark and cold vacuum, countless distances away from Apexion's realm, five transparent beings shot through the darkness at extreme speed, their wills flickering intensely as they scanned everything they passed as if they were searching for something.

Suddenly, they came to a standstill as an indescribable sound rang out in their minds. And Their wills pulsed as they started to communicate with each other.

"This pathfinder is advancing faster than anything we had predicted… we must locate and kill it before it takes that step, or else it will be us who are prey and it predator," said one of the figures in a venomous tone.

"Yes, but where could it be hiding? We and the others have already scoured all the major realms and the Realm of Doom, but still no trace of him… unless it's hiding in one of those forbidden echoes, where could be," replied another in a calm tone.

"No, there is one place that we haven't searched yet," interjected one.

"Where?" one questioned.

"The newly born super realm cluster that bloomed in the Vextric Arch Realm… only this arch realm is currently under the rule of a primal entity who forbids any outsider from entering," he answered.

'A primal entity? So what? What is a primal entity before us? How many have we hunted? If it doesn't know what's good for it, we will just have to hunt it,' stated one in an arrogant tone.

"No, you misunderstood. This isn't just some fairly strong primal who somehow survived that war due to luck, but a terrifying entity who was granted the title, Primal General of the End… this is an entity that even I would have no chance of surviving in a face-to-face confrontation," one added.

"A Primal General… the legends spoke of their horrors, but we all know such an entity is not enough to stop us, the Path Hunters," said the next.

"Yes, such an entity cannot block our hunt. I am just letting you know what type of being we are about to clash with," replied one.

"Yes, but just in case, let us invite the other unit," one added.

After which they vanished.

Countless creatures live and die, and before you knew it, fifty thousand years flew by.

Boom!

Apexion opened his eyes; a transcendent aura subconsciously exploded from his body. It seeped into his domain, and like ascension particles, it reformed and expanded it into something greater.

Hundred light years. Five hundred light years. A thousand light years.

It expanded before coming to a stop. The outer wall was now firmer and harder.

Apexion took it in for an instant before shifting his focus on his existence. "I have evolved once again, only this evolution is only half a tier… what am I missing?" he contemplated. He knew the reason he only ascended half a tier was because of the barrier in the Ascension Realm, but he couldn't understand why that barrier could stop him, for all of his existence met the requirement to evolve.

His will, law, and body had all shattered their tier limits.

Suddenly, he vanished and reappeared outside his realm. The moment he appeared, he felt a terrifying suppressing and repelling force descend on him. The force suppressed his body to the pinnacle of the 7th tier and attempted to force him outside of the material universe and into the false realm.

He wasn't surprised by this force, for he already knew that once beings reached the 8th tier, the material verse would instinctively reject them, for the potential for destruction they harbor was just too great.

And it made sense, for his current self was a shocking thousand times stronger than when he was at the 7th tier.

It must be noted that at the 7th tier, his existence was already equivalent to that of a realm, so one could just imagine how destructive he was now.

It wouldn't be exaggerated to say that he could now destroy a hundred thousand realms with an all-out attack. The gaps between the tiers were just that abyssal; it was almost unbelievable. And the key thing was that he was just at a half 8th tier, so just try to fathom the ungodliness of a true 8th tier.
