Chapter 144: Remember 4
This war was fought at the highest levels, on two fronts: the false realm and the material realm.
Our main selves battled in the false realm, the force from our clashes caused this realm to crack bit by bit, and it should be noted that this realm was countless time harder than the material realm.
Our battle was laced with twists and turns; our enemy was worthy of being the same kind of existence, as the goddess. He dissected every attack we launched and instantly developed counterattack.
He even devised a method to counter the goddess's, [existence frequency destabilization] her strongest attack by being in a perpetual state of shifting between countless frequencies.
His attacks were all mechanical and dimensional, each aiming to reduce our state of existence back to the 7th tier and dissect us.We fought this battle with utmost focus, constantly adapting and creating new symphonies.
But amidst the danger, I felt joy overflowing with in the goddess existence, for that was her grandest performance yet. She gave it her all, utilizing every known and unknown instrument of sound, they manifested behind her.
I was in a form I had never taken before, my body adorned with countless strings, drums, keys, and trumpets.
🎼 Huuu! Ding! Bang! Han!
This war lasted for millions of years, and we narrowly won. Because in the end, even the very concept of jumping between frequencies was a frequency within itself, and all things frequency must submit to its ruler, my goddess.
But just as the goddess was about to shatter the creature's existence and seal him in a state of death, the creature unexpectedly exploded with newfound strength that came from its bloodline.
The force from his blood was extremely primal, ancient, and terrifying. The creature used that newfound strength to injure the goddess and flee outside the arch realm.
That bloodline we would later discover to be part of the now-current strongest civilization in existence: humanity, a species that I both hate and envy at the same time, for their strength and absolute loyalty.
Just when we thought everything was over, a group of beings attacked; they called themselves the Hunters. Even though they weren't as strong as the creature from before, they were extremely deadly. Each of their movements was precise, everything calculated to perfection, and they had a counter for almost everything you could think of.
Unfortunately, they chose to attack the goddess, who is one of the strongest beings in all of existence, standing right below the alphas and a few other entities.
The goddess defeated them, after which she sealed the entire arch realm, then sealed her divine domain and fell into deep slumber. I watched over her with utmost care. It pained me tremendously to see her in such a state, for she was my everything, my god, the being that I worshiped.
Time passed tens of millions of years and the goddess awakened. I noticed she had returned to her normal self, governed by only two desires.
We sent clones into the material verse to do what we loved to do. I watched her perform for the entire arch realm; her melodies stained the entire realm and twisted it into her image.
Countless realm took a musical note shape, and the even vacuum began singing records of her melodies.
Millions of years passed when suddenly a forbidden echo bloomed in our realm. We entered it, and the goddess easily dissected its secrets, finding the direct breach in space and time.
The goddess then matched our frequency with that breach and entered the breach. In doing that, we did the unthinkable: we traveled hundreds of millions of years into the past.
The world had fewer realms but was more vibrant and colorful, filled with countless magical creatures.
There were also about ten times as many divine beings compared to the time period from which we came.
After a while, we discovered the entity that ruled this entire time period, an ERA Lord, was what this creature was called, an entity that rule over an entire era, an entity at the end of the 8th tier. He was strong, but nothing compared to the goddess; we didn't need a battle to confirm that.
The goddess and he attempted to have a discussion, but this entity couldn't form a coherent thought. He just kept mumbling words or titles such as,
"The one true miracle of this world, the one who SPLINTERED the very concept of impossible. The one who shattered the beginning and the end. The one who almost killed all of existence in its entirety. The one who severed the past and future itself and then weaved them into a prison to house and punish his enemies. The broken but unbroken one. The source of evolution."
Afterward, he would cry out in madness,
"PLEASE SET ME FREE! PLEASE SET ME FREE!"
He repeated those phrases endlessly as if he was possessed.
It was at that moment, I realized the state of his existence. At first, I was jealous of him for seemingly being the only 8th tier existence in that time period, having the entire material and false realm to himself.
But I pitied him, for he was no more than a shadow, a mere remnant of a dead entity, and that entire time period was both his coffin and his cage.
He was trapped in that eon forever. Once the era that lasted a hundred million years ended, it would restart all over again, rewinding back to the beginning of that era, cycle after cycle. I had no idea how long he had been trapped there.
I began to fear the entity who had created such a cage, and who wouldn't? Using an entire time period as a prison and coffin, and then setting it to rewind endlessly, such a grasp on time was terrifying to the maximum.
I wanted to leave immediately; the goddess felt the same. But Unfortunately, the breach in time had closed, and we had to wait until that era came to an end, when everything was rewinding, for that would be the moment when the seal would be most vulnerable.
