Chapter 726: The Enemy of My Enemy Is My Friend
Villain Ch 726. The Enemy of My Enemy Is My Friend
Noah nodded in agreement, his gaze still fixed on Sophia. "I feel it too," he admitted, his voice tinged with concern. "We need to stay alert. I don't trust her sudden change in behavior."
"Rather than Allen, somehow I feel like this has something to do with Elio," James mused aloud, his finger tapping impatiently on the table as he continued to keep an eye on Sophia's movements.
Noah shot him a skeptical glance, his brow furrowed in confusion. "Are you sure about that?" he questioned, his disbelief evident in his tone.
James nodded confidently, his gaze never leaving Sophia. "Positive," he affirmed, his mind already working through various scenarios.
"Explain," Noah prompted, turning his full attention to James, eager to hear his analysis.
"Well, think about it," James began, his voice taking on a thoughtful tone. "Sophia's been having issues with Elio lately, right? And now she shows up here, looking completely different and acting out of character. Especially her plain gears. It's not like her at all.
My guess is she's got something planned for Elio, and this is just the beginning," he explained, his words laced with a sense of foreboding.

Noah mulled over James's words, his expression thoughtful. "That actually makes sense," he admitted reluctantly, beginning to see the logic in James's theory.
James nodded in agreement, his eyes narrowing as he watched Sophia's every move. "Exactly. And whatever she's got planned, it can't be good," he concluded, his voice tinged with concern. "We need to warn Elio," he stated firmly, his sense of urgency growing with each passing moment.
"Or maybe… is Allen working together with Sophia to take down Elio?" Noah speculated, his brow furrowing as he considered the possibility. "You know, like the enemy of my enemy is my friend kind of thing," he suggested, trying to make sense of the situation.
James tilted his head, considering Noah's theory for a moment before shaking his head firmly. "Nah, highly unlikely," he dismissed, his tone confident.
Noah's curiosity was piqued. "But why not?" he pressed, eager to hear James's reasoning.
James leaned back in his chair, a smug grin playing on his lips. "Call it businessman instinct," he said cryptically, his tone teasing.
Noah rolled his eyes at James's response, but couldn't help but be intrigued. "Alright, Mr. Businessman," he teased back, "care to elaborate?"
James chuckled, enjoying Noah's reaction. "Think about it," he began, his voice taking on a more serious tone. "Allen's not exactly the type to team up with someone like Sophia. He's got his own agenda, and I doubt it involves cozying up to her," he explained, his eyes glinting with confidence in his analysis.
"Besides…" James shifted his tone, his expression growing more serious. "You saw him yesterday, right? I'm not sure that's a look that can forgive someone who has betrayed him," he pointed out, his voice tinged with concern. He had noticed the coldness in Allen's demeanor ever since their first clash at the restaurant, and it had only intensified since then.
"Plus, did you hear what the bodyguard said yesterday?" James continued, his brows furrowing in thought. "About how Allen managed to turn things around with just a snap?" He shook his head in disbelief, still amazed by the revelation. "I mean, using a motorbike key to go from hostage to hostage taker? That's some next-level thinking," he remarked, his tone filled with admiration.
Noah nodded, recalling the surprising turn of events from the previous day. "Yeah, Mila mentioned the same thing," he confirmed, his mind replaying the scene in his head. "It's like he's always one step ahead, you know?" he added, a hint of awe in his voice.
"But what does all this have to do with it?" Noah asked, his brows furrowing in confusion as he tried to piece together James's thoughts.
James leaned back in his chair, contemplating his response. "If he wants revenge on Elio," he began, his voice thoughtful, "I'm sure he will do the same—act in a snap, in unexpected circumstances, alone, without Sophia's help." He paused, emphasizing each point with a nod to drive his argument home.
"He's a spontaneous guy who can adapt to any situation," James continued, his confidence in Allen's abilities evident in his tone.
Noah nodded slowly, beginning to see the logic behind James's analysis. "So you're saying that Allen doesn't need Sophia's assistance to carry out his plans?" he clarified, seeking further clarification.
"Exactly," James confirmed, his expression serious. "And besides, Liam and Darren are still taking Sophia's side," he added, recalling Allen's strained relationship with the two. "Allen has no reason to collaborate with Sophia," he concluded, his tone firm as he reiterated his point.
Noah nodded in agreement, his mind processing James's words. "I see what you mean," he acknowledged, a sense of understanding dawning on him. "So if Allen is planning something, it's likely to be on his own terms," he surmised, coming to a realization.
James grinned, pleased that Noah was beginning to grasp the situation. "Exactly," he affirmed, nodding in agreement.
"It all makes sense now," Noah exclaimed, turning to Allen. But to his surprise, Allen was nowhere to be found, leaving Noah baffled. "Where is he?" he wondered aloud, scanning the tavern in search of his friend.
James, too, noticed Allen's absence and shrugged nonchalantly. "Guess he's gone hunting," he suggested, his attention quickly shifting to Mila, who was wearing a sweet smile tinged with a hint of blush. James couldn't help but tease Noah about his sister's potential crush. "But I think rather than your sister, it was him who has captured her heart," he teased, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Noah let out a groan, feeling a mix of embarrassment and annoyance. He reluctantly tore his gaze away from Mila and begrudgingly admitted, "Ugh… you're right." His eyes narrowed slightly as he observed Mila's smile, finding it slightly irritating.
However, Noah's moment of annoyance quickly faded into concern as he noticed Sophia approaching Mila. "Oh no..." he muttered under his breath, his heart sinking at the sight. James echoed his sentiment, sharing Noah's apprehension about the impending encounter between Sophia and Mila.
