Villain: The Play of Destiny

Chapter 477

The two Aura Souls clashed against each other, unleashing sparks and shockwaves even more terrifying than the earlier battle that Keith and Qin Feng had.

There was a strange weight pressing on Qin Feng's heart at the sight of the frozen lake.

He could not wrap his mind around why Keith wanted to freeze up an entire lake and spend so much Mana doing it.

It should be a good thing for him that his opponent was draining his reserves faster than him, but for some reason, the indifference reflected in those dark eyes was announcing that this expenditure of Mana did not even matter to him.

However, Qin Feng had already realised the danger he was in. He no longer had the luxury of being upset at anything. And his heart turned even colder when he watched the Wolf Soul's body being armoured by Crystals.

He knew that he would be utterly helpless if he wasted his Mana Reserves in trying to fight Keith with Magic, which was clearly his opponent's forte. So, all he could do was stick to the thing he was best at and save his Mana to help himself at the time when he needed to use his God Powers.

Keith suddenly blurred from his position, and Qin Feng narrowed his eyes, unleashing the Blueish-Green Flame, which not only boosted his Physical Capabilities but also gave him an active Healing Ability.

His Special Physique was the biggest Trump Card and a secret that not even his closest aides were aware of. No one who had seen these flames had lived to see another day.

From the curiosity that suddenly reflected in Keith's eyes, his heart felt a little relieved that his opponent was not aware of this Divine Physique and what it was capable of. He really hoped it was the case.

Now able to fare much better when dealing with Keith's superior speed, Qin Feng finally retaliated as he blocked the oncoming punch and then swung a powerful kick at his enemy.

It was blocked, of course. He was not expecting anything else, and then he rushed straight at the enemy who had been pushed back by the sheer force of his attack.

Like a ferocious Dragon, Qin Feng started rampaging as he engaged in Hand-to-Hand Combat once again. And this time, it was his enemy who was unable to counter-attack.

However, despite this apparent advantage, he was not calm. And this was because he found Keith's defence impregnable.

The worst thing was that his enemy's expressions remained indifferent, and there was no hint of any restlessness.

Just as he started finding himself in a deadlock, something unexpected happened, and he felt a chunk of Aura leave him.

He could not afford to look at the Aura Souls that were fighting, but he could still sense his Aura Soul, and it confused him why, even though they were at a deadlock, the Wolf had suddenly managed to chip away a chuck of Aura from the Dragon.

A few seconds later, it happened again, and then again, and after a few more times, he finally lost concentration and glanced at the Aura Souls, which earned him a punch right in the face.

The pain quickly disappeared as the wound healed at an alarming rate, and this finally allowed him to sense what exactly was happening with his Aura Soul.

Something was restricting its movements from time to time, and the Wolf was taking advantage of it and chipping away his Aura.

Now, had this not been a Duel of Life & Death, he would have considered the possibility of some helper hiding in the dark, but that was not the case.

The only possibility was that it was Keith who was using his Psychic Powers to hinder the movements of his Aura Soul, and just the mere thought of sent waves of crisis crashing into his heart.

How was that possible?

How could he focus on the battle with him and also target his Aura Soul at the same time?

Just when he was about to take another look at the two Aura Souls and get a better idea of what was happening, Keith suddenly shifted the gear of the battle again and started expending more Aura.

It was a clear attempt to stop him from figuring things out, and despite his agitation, Qin Feng really could not afford to lose his focus.

Even though his wounds would quickly heal, they still consumed his Aura, and this state could not be kept active for a prolonged period.

However, he really needed to figure out what was happening with his Aura Soul, so, he hastily unleashed his God's Presence and glanced at the two Aura Beasts.

His trick only earned him a second before Keith negated it by unleashing his own presence, and now, as they kept fighting, the surface of the lake around them kept getting harmed.

Minutes passed by as Qin Feng found himself in a deadlock once again, and his heart kept growing colder as he felt his Aura Soul losing Aura from time to time.

Despite being unable to figure things out completely, he had managed to find some clues.

Keith was not unleashing all of his God's Presence, probably to not destroy the Ice under their feet, and he was also actively restoring the Ice Field.

There was clearly something wrong with this Frozen Lake, and whatever was happening to his Aura Soul was related to it.

And another clue was that Keith did not let him ever get in a position where he could glance at the two Beasts.

"It's the lake, isn't it?" He gritted his teeth and immediately decided to recall his Aura Soul to his side even though it would give the wolf the opportunity to chip away a large chunk of the Aura. Read latest chapters at My Virtual Library Empire

An indifferent smile crept on Keith's lips at his decision, and just when the Serpentine Drgaon, who had lost a Big Chunk of Aura to the Wolf was about to reach his side, something happened that nearly stopped Qin Feng's heart.

Both he and his Aura Soul were suddenly locked in the air with a Gravitational Pull, and before either could break out of it, they both suffered grievously.

Everything happened so fast that Qin Feng did not even get the time to protect himself by fortifying his Aura Defence, and before he managed to break free, a skull-shattering kick landed on his head, which made him go blank for a couple of seconds.

By the time he regained clarity, his Aura Soul was already shrouding him, and there was a hole in his back, right where his heart was.

Thankfully, Keith's hand had not managed to reach his heart and his Aura Soul had managed to come to his rescue in Time.

Before his wound could completely heal or he could take a breath, his enemy was onto him again, and so was his enemy's Aura Soul Beast, which jointly attacked him.

Now that his Aura Soul Beast was protecting his body, his defence was much higher, but it also meant that his attacking options were much more limited, especially against an enemy who was superior to him.

This time, when both he and his Aura Soul were locked, he clearly saw a disc with strange runes, emanating a soft white light that was barely visible on the surface of the ice, blending right in with it.

His eyes dangerously narrowed when the Wolf Soul chipped away another big chunk of his Aura, and Keith's hand managed to break right into his Aura Soul, reaching for him.

He finally understood why his enemy was not bothered about his Aura expenditure when his reserves were a third the size of his own. It was because his enemy's Aura was much purer and denser than his own.

Without wasting any time, he immediately used his God Powers and infused the Power of Judgement in his presence and his Aura, which boosted his strength even more.

Keith immediately pulled back and recalled his Aura Shoul inside his body, and then created an army of Shadow Constructs that rushed towards Qin Feng and blocked him, allowing him to retreat safely.

And then a Curtain of Darkness descended, covering half the lake in a black sphere, which devoured all the light.

The next moment, Keith pressed his hands in the Ice below, and soon he created hundreds of Ice Pillars, which hindered his enemy's movements, and made it harder for him to deal with the Shadow Constructs.

Qin Feng knew what Keith's intentions were, and a smile crept on his lips. He was waiting for this to happen, and then he just played along and kept fighting the Shadow Constructs and breaking the Pillars that he ran into.

Half an hour later, when he finally did manage to break out of the

Sphere of Darkness, utilising the Power of Judgement and creating Fire Constructs to assist him, he panted as he warily looked around.

Suddenly, the ice under his feet broke, and he instinctively jumped up to avoid the trap, but then his heart turned cold and chills ran up his spine.

He felt his Aura Soul being pierced, and then his own body was pierced from behind.

There was an Aura Spear embedded in his chest, and his heart was destroyed.

Blood dripped out of his mouth as he forcefully shattered the Spear with the last bit of his strength, and then glanced at the enemy who was coming at him with an Aura Sword in his hand.

He finally saw the signs of fatigue on his enemy's face, even though he was masking it well, and the corners of his mouth curved up in a smirk.

Qin Feng blocked the oncoming sword by creating a Spear and then let out an enraged cry before ruthlessly attacking his enemy.

It was the last burst of strength 9f a dying man, and only a minute later, Keith's sword diagonally cut through him, cutting him in two pieces.

However, the smile on his face never disappeared, and before his enemy could land another hit on him, a terrifying Blueish-Green Flame burst out of his body, expanding, and creating a defensive sphere around him.
