Chapter 253 End mini-event
Anthony opened his eyes and felt a chill run down his body. His limbs trembled slightly, as did his soul. The sensation of his extremities crumbling away was vivid in his mind. He shook his head. "I overestimated myself a lot," he thought to himself. But in the same way, it was the only way to break free from Angela's magic.
His body trembled a bit. The light from the crystals created a thin but powerful layer around him. He tried to break it, but to his surprise, he couldn't. Moreover, considering the sea of white flames plummeting from the sky, he frowned. He had been a bit arrogant. He remembered he was still in the Mid-Gold rank, while Angela and Ezequiel were in the Max-Gold rank.
Furthermore, they had better control over their own bloodlines than he did.
His eyes brightened as he remembered Ezequiel's last attack, "Supernova." He had to admit that the starlight was almost the same as the orbs', if not the same brightness. However, he had to pay the price for using an ability beyond his capabilities. His life force, just like mine, was affected. He looked at his body carefully.
The feeling of rotting alive was not pleasant at all, but somehow, he could endure it. In some way, his body was getting more accustomed to pain.

"Anthony?" A soft, gentle voice pulled him out of his thoughts. A bit lost, he looked away from the horizon and met his sister's worried eyes. After a few seconds of silence, he nodded, a response that seemed to satisfy her. "How do you feel?" she asked softly but firmly. Emily watched him closely as she awaited his response.
Anthony looked at her for a few seconds. "Fine, I guess." He looked at himself again, and a smile formed on his face. "My sister died before even exchanging a few blows with her," Emily glared at him, then turned her attention to Alicia, who was at the other end of the hall.
Feeling Emily's resentful gaze, Alicia looked away, putting her arms behind her back. Emily gritted her teeth before a small smile formed on her face. "We still have a few more events to go. There will be a chance in each of them," she said with a sigh of frustration as she turned away. Anthony watched her and had to nod. Indeed, there were more events to go; so far, only two had been completed.
Moments later, he felt small arms embracing him from behind. A smell of roses flooded his nostrils, comforting him with its familiarity. A warm smile formed on Anthony's face as he turned around to return Charlotte's hug. She looked at him with her purple eyes shining brightly. Just as she was about to say something, a voice interrupted the entire hall.
"Where are you?! Damn it, you better hide!" Adelaide shouted at the top of her lungs, her mana releasing from her body and a thin layer of green covering the hall. Some students shivered under the suffocating pressure.
"Is this the difference between bloodlines?" Some mentally wondered. Most of those who had that thought were commoners, but for the nobles, it did not go unnoticed.
"You dare to kill your own sister and on top of that eat her alive!" Fire erupted from Adelaide's mouth, while her eyes, filled with infinite hatred, scanned the hall for her brother Nicholas. After a few minutes of searching, realizing he had escaped, she clenched her fists tightly. In her mind, she vividly relived the pain of being literally eaten alive.
Her eyes filled with even more hatred as she remembered she had even tasted her blood.
In Daniela's blue eyes, there was also resentment, just like her friend, she died being eaten alive, her knees trembled a little, and she had to lean on the capsule to avoid falling, she walked slightly with difficulty towards Adelaide, the two comforted each other while cursing Nicholas at the same time.
"Luckily my death was quick and almost painless," Charlotte sighed as she grabbed her chest, Ezequiel's starlight was incredibly powerful, she had to summon another butterfly that covered her, but even if the butterfly disintegrated, causing her death in the act, but even if her eyes shone as she remembered her wife's confrontation against Ezequiel, she didn't get involved at all and just watched from a distance, but she couldn't go more than 100 meters away, that was what was left of the island, she looked down just out of curiosity, and all she saw was an infinite void.
Anthony smiled and patted her head. "Do you have any idea what place you got?" he asked curiously. Charlotte shook her head; he didn't know what place he ended up either; all he saw was the huge explosion of stars.
Bang!
The sound echoed throughout the place, and the students' attention quickly shifted. They stopped murmuring and looked forward, elegantly walking to the door, which inside shone brightly with multicolored lights, Professor Crystal arrived at the front of the podium, with her characteristic smile.
"Congratulations to all of you!" she exclaimed excitedly. She couldn't hide her feelings; to be honest, it was just as exciting for her to see all the students from the three great classes fighting each other, and to see their bloodlines activated was undoubtedly an incredible spectacle.
"The first-year event, 'Everyone vs. Everyone,' has come to an end," Crystal informed enthusiastically. "The appropriate rewards will arrive in your crystals in a few days, and the rewards are based on your ranking position," she informed before leaving, leaving all the students dumbfounded. "Just like that," some thought, before they could do anything, the door opened again.
With her black military uniform decorated with gold trim, Professor Athena arrived at the front of the podium, her characteristic smile on her face. "You all did very well! The dukes, the director, and the emperor are satisfied with your performance!" she nodded several times with satisfaction.
"The deaths were incredible," she said as she gave them a thumbs-up; the students rolled their eyes, but quickly nodded; after all, they didn't want to die in real life.
Athena chuckled to herself. "You'll have a week off," she said, but her expression changed completely as a certain pressure emanated from her. "Once you return from your vacation, the third event of the academic year will begin."
