[There are over 10,000 additional features available, Host. Would you like a categorized list or a tutorial on specific capabilities?]

Sanjay's eyes widened. 10,000? That was an overwhelming number.

"Wait… I can connect to VR? How does that even work?"

[With the nanites, I can create a neural and sensory interface, allowing full immersion in the VR world. Would you like to try now?]

He hesitated. "What happens to my body while I'm inside?"

[Your body enters standby mode. I will monitor your surroundings and alert you if there is any danger.]

That sounded… surprisingly reassuring. "Alright. Let's try it."

[Connecting to VR World.]

The real world dissolved into a swirling mass of colors before stabilizing. He found himself standing in the same vast, open plaza where he'd last entered the VR space. His avatar was already synced, identical to before.

Sanjay turned his hands over, flexing his fingers. The response time was instant, as if he were truly inside this world.

"This is insane," he murmured.

[Would you like to exit?]

"Yeah, let's go back."

[Exiting VR World.]

The virtual space shattered like glass, and he was back in his hospital bed. He exhaled, his heart still racing from the experience.

"Okay… that was unreal. What about the internet? Did you say I have access to all of it?"

[Correct, Host. All publicly available and non-encrypted data has been downloaded into my database. I can analyze trends, provide real-time updates, and answer any questions.]

"Alright, test time. What's Earth's current population?"

[Accessing... Approximately 30.8 billion as of the latest recorded data.]

"That was fast." He rubbed his chin. "And if you're disconnected from the internet? Will you still function as efficiently?"

[Yes, Host. My database contains all pre-existing information. Only real-time updates would be unavailable.]

Leaning back, Sanjay let out a slow breath. This is beyond anything I ever imagined...

A thought crossed his mind, "I never asked—what's your name?"

[I am IRIS, Host. Short for Integrated Reactive Intelligence System.]

Sanjay swung his legs over the side of the bed, expecting the usual grogginess after a procedure. But instead, he felt… amazing.

There was a strange, electrifying energy coursing through his veins. Every movement felt light, effortless—like his body had been fine-tuned to perfection.

Curious, he made his way to the bathroom and stood in front of the mirror.

And froze.

The person staring back at him wasn't the Sanjay he remembered.

His face was sharper, his jawline more defined, his skin flawless. Gone were the pimples, the uneven texture, the tired eyes—replaced by smooth, healthy skin and a confident aura that hadn't been there before. Even his hair, once messy and unkempt, looked thick, full, and perfectly styled, as if he had just stepped out of a high-end salon.

He slowly unbuttoned his hospital gown, heart pounding.

His jaw nearly dropped.

His body had transformed.

Chiseled abs, a sculpted chest, well-defined muscles—he looked like someone who had spent years training, not someone who had just woken up from a medical procedure. Even his legs felt sturdier, like they could carry him for miles without breaking a sweat.

"Wait... am I taller?"

The realization hit him all at once. He turned back to the mirror, stepping closer, noticing how his reflection loomed larger than before.

"Iris, show me a comparison of my physical stats before and after the procedure."

[Of course, Host.]

A holographic display flickered into view, projecting a side-by-side comparison of his body.

]

"Holy shit."

He clenched his fists, feeling the raw power surging through his body. He wasn't just stronger—he was on a completely different level.

His clothes suddenly felt uncomfortably tight. The shirt stretched against his broader chest, and the sleeves barely fit around his larger arms. His pants, now shorter than before, hinted at just how much he had grown.

"What the hell am I supposed to tell my parents?"

Shaking his head, he asked, "Well, IRIS, can I leave the hospital, or is there anything else I need to do?"

[No, Host. All formalities have been completed. You are free to leave whenever you wish.]

"Alright."

He grabbed his bag—the same one he always carried—and left the hospital. No one stopped him. No questions, no strange looks. It was as if the world had already moved on, unaware that he had just stepped into it as someone entirely new.

The moment he stepped outside, the city lights reflected off his sharper eyes, clearer than ever before.

Without hesitation, he headed straight for his hotel.

"IRIS, what's today's date and time?"

[Date: January 20, 2205. Time: 10:30 AM.]

"So, two days passed in the hospital… Should it really take that long? According to the web, it should have only taken two to three hours."

"But, thank God, only two hours passed in the real world."

Sanjay then looked at his wrist and exhaled in relief, checking for the familiar tattoo. It was still there—right where it had always been.

"Iris, scan my body. Can you detect the tattoo?"

[Host, there is no tattoo anywhere on your body.]

His brow furrowed. "Are you sure? Check my left wrist specifically."

[Yes, Host. I am certain. There are no tattoos or markings on your left wrist.]

Sanjay's mind raced. So even IRIS can't see it. Just like his mother hadn't been able to. That old man's tattoo—whatever it was—clearly wasn't ordinary.

The unanswered questions piled up in his head. How had he even unlocked the future world? Was there a trick to it? Some kind of condition he had unknowingly fulfilled? He had no idea.

But for now, those questions could wait.

"Well… let's go home."

The world around him blurred.

And in an instant—he was back.

Sanjay stood in his bedroom, the familiar scent of his home filling his lungs. A wave of comfort washed over him. No sterile hospital air. No futuristic cityscapes. Just home.

"Iris, do you recognize this place?"

[Negative, Host. This is the first time you have brought me to this location.]

Sanjay smirked. So, it can't access my memories unless I tell it to. That's good. It means I still have control.

"Iris, try connecting to this world's internet. If there's any risk, stop immediately."

[Understood, Host.]

Not even a second passed.

[Connection successful.]

Sanjay blinked. Already?

"Wait… how? The internet here runs on cables, not wireless networks. There aren't even proper towers yet!"

[The area you are in uses signal-based communication. I bypassed it using quantum entanglement to establish a direct connection to the internet.]

Sanjay's mind nearly short-circuited.

"Quantum entanglement?"

That was just a theoretical concept! Even in 2025, when he had died, multiple experiments had shown it was possible, but no one had successfully used it for real-time data transmission—at least not without massive infrastructure. And yet, IRIS had done it instantly, without any external setup.

His heart pounded with excitement. This wasn't just advanced technology. This was something beyond anything humanity had ever achieved.

"Iris, analyze this world's history. Compare it to the world you came from."

A brief pause.

[Host, this is a completely different world. There is only a 10% similarity in historical events.]

A grin spread across Sanjay's face. So, this really is a different world.

"Which parts of history are similar?"

[The evolutionary path from primates to early humans is identical. However, after that point, human civilization developed in an entirely different direction.]

Sanjay's mind whirled with possibilities. That meant everything—wars, inventions, politics, even societal structures—could be vastly different.

"Download all available internet data, but verify it first. Store it in a separate database. Name it 'Modern World,' and rename the old one to 'Future World.'"

[Affirmative, Host.]

A familiar voice interrupted his thoughts.

"Sanjay, breakfast is ready!" his mother called from the kitchen.

He glanced at the clock. I spent the whole night traveling between worlds.

"Iris, hide the interface until I tell you otherwise."

[Understood, Host.]

The glowing display in his vision faded.

For a brief moment, he chuckled to himself. This feels like something straight out of Iron Man.

Sanjay stepped out of his room, heading to the dining table. The moment his parents saw him, they froze. His mother's eyes widened, and his father nearly dropped his newspaper.

"Sanjay?" his mother asked hesitantly.

He could see the confusion written all over their faces. It was only natural. He had changed—drastically. But after a few seconds, his mother shook her head as if dismissing a silly thought.

"Must be puberty," his father muttered, though his gaze lingered on Sanjay a little too long.

Even as they tried to brush it off, he noticed how they kept stealing glances at him throughout breakfast.

Halfway through the meal, the phone rang.
