Chapter 175: Empress Eris (2)
However, before leaving, the old Sect Master didn't forget to give Lucian a chilling glare.
Then he waved his hand, covering the Soul Devouring Sect's Elders and remaining disciples in a mist of dark energy. Within a blink of an eye, they vanished without a trace, leaving only an aura of malice.
At this moment, others breathed a collective sigh of relief. The oppressive atmosphere lifted, and cultivators began to stir, helping those who had fallen unconscious.
Except for the other demonic sects' Elders and disciples who had already left, the Elders of righteous sects and families came forward.
They gave a fist salute to the Empress, bowing deeply, "We thank Your Majesty for your timely intervention." Discover exclusive content at My Virtual Library Empire
The Empress only nodded at the Elders. She didn't care about their thanks.
She had only intervened because she feared that if the old man stayed any longer, he might see through Iris's special Bloodline. The concealment runes that hid Iris's true nature had been broken during her time in the Secret Realm.
Her gaze swept across the crowd, finally landing on Iris and Lucian.
At this moment Lucian's face was pale as he had felt the most pressure from the Soul Devouring Sect Master's attack.
His Golden Core trembled within his sea of consciousness, and his cultivation was still chaotic.
Alisa also rushed over, concern etched on her face. She gently supported Lucian's other arm, her eyes scanning him for injuries.
Eris frowned as she watched her daughter. She hadn't expected Iris to behave so shamelessly in front of everyone.
The Empress snorted inwardly, then said coldly, "Iris, come. We have much to discuss."
Looking at Lucian with cold eyes, she said, "Bring that boy too."
She then gracefully moved towards the Royal Family's flying treasure, her purple robes flowing behind her like water.
Iris took a deep breath and said, "Let's go."
Lucian glanced up, watching Eris as she moved arrogantly. He couldn't resist licking his lips while observing her figure. He was sure that it was merely a disguise; she must be even more breathtaking and delicious than Iris.
He took a third-garde healing pill from his storage ring, swallowing it quickly. The pill's energy spread through his body, soothing his chaotic cultivation.
He then turned to Alisa and said gently, "You go ahead. I'll join you later. Don't worry."
Alisa giggled softly as she noticed Iris holding Lucian's arm tightly.
Looking into his eyes, she could guess what he was thinking. She whispered softly, "But don't take too long. My pussy has been missing you."
Being so close, Iris also heard her words. She snorted and pulled Lucian's arm harder, "How many women do you have?"
Lucian smirked, "Why are you getting jealous, Princess?"
Iris's face turned red. She huffed and looked away, but didn't let go of his arm.
"Wait for me in your cave." He winked at Alisa and then followed Iris towards the Royal flying ship.
As Lucian and Iris walked away, murmurs spread through the crowd of cultivators.
"Who is that white-haired guy? How did he catch Princess Iris's eye?" someone whispered.
"I heard he's from the Azure Sword Sect, but I've never seen him before," another replied.
A burly young man sighed deeply, "Damn, I'm so jealous. Not only is he powerful enough to kill Aldric, but he's also close to the Princess!"
"Shh! Don't say that too loud," his friend warned, "The Soul Devouring Sect might still have spies around."
Meanwhile, after the initial shock wore off, Fifth Prince's face turned cold.
He spoke softly to Seventh Prince, "Haha, Royal Mother will surely put that commoner in his place. How dare he get close to Iris?"
But Seventh Prince frowned instead. The Empress he knew wouldn't go against that old man just to protect some random cultivator. There must be more to this story.
But he didn't reveal his thoughts to Fifth Prince.
Crossing the protective shield covering the flying treasure, Lucian and Iris were led by a guard.
"Her Highness is waiting inside," the guard said, gesturing to a closed door.
As they entered, Lucian noticed Empress Eris sitting in the center on a throne-like chair.
She is a beautiful MILF, with long purple hair streaming down her back.
In terms of age, she seemed to be a young woman in her mid 20s, but if you looked into her eyes, she seemed much more mature than that.
Empress Eris looked at Iris, her cold face melting into a beautiful smile. Iris immediately jumped into her embrace, burying her face in her mother's chest.
While patting her daughter's back, Eris turned to Lucian with piercing eyes.
He stood there with a calm smile, seemingly unperturbed by the Empress's presence.
"How strange! Why do you have both Dragon and Demon Bloodline?" she asked abruptly.
Iris looked up in astonishment, her eyes widening as she turned to Lucian.
"Is this the reason you saved me, mother-in-law?" Lucian still had a calm smile, though inwardly he was shocked. He hadn't expected the Empress to see through his physique so easily.
Iris gasped, not expecting him to shamelessly refer to her mother in such a way. Her face flushed red from embarrassment.
Eris chuckled softly, "Mother-in-law, huh? Well, considering the size of your Heavenly Palace and Bloodline, you certainly have the qualifications to pursue my daughter. But don't think it will be so easy."
She turned to Iris, her eyes softening, "Iris, tell me everything in detail. How did this happen?"
Iris turned to Lucian and seeing him nod, she began to explain.
"Mom, it all started when I encountered Aldric from the Soul Devouring Sect. He tried to capture me, saying he wanted to refine my bloodline…."
Eris listened intently, her eyebrow raising as she noticed how her daughter was already behaving like a little wife.
She intentionally made up the story and also left out many details, like how Lucian had fucked her brains out…
After listening to everything, Empress Eris closed her eyes.
For the time it took to boil a cup of water, she remained silent and thoughtful.
When she opened her eyes again, she looked at Iris with a mix of resignation and amusement.
"I'm not that type of mother who will force their children to do things against their will," Eris said softly, "But are you sure about this, Iris?"
Iris bit her lips and said while hiding her face in her soft breasts, "Mom, I've already accepted him as my Dao partner. We've formed… a deep bond."
Her face flushed red as she spoke, unable to meet her mother's gaze.
Eris sighed deeply, a wry smile on her face, "Sigh. My daughter has already grown up so fast. It feels like just yesterday you were learning to walk."
She looked at Lucian with a smile and spoke, "Your idea of entering that temple is indeed interesting but also reckless. I never imagined it would be like this. This low-level Secret Realm doesn't seem to have any connection to Authority."
She then added, "However, your Bloodline isn't pure enough to transform you into a dragon or demon, is it?"
So far Lucian had been observing Eris. And just like what he saw in System description, she indeed was arrogant, except when talking to Iris.
Just like right now he could sense the hidden contempt behind her polite words. But it didn't bother him. He enjoyed subduing arrogant bitch like her the most.
Lucian nodded, "That's correct, mother-in-law."
'But once I upgrade my Innate Fate again, I don't think I won't be...' He thought inwardly.
"Interesting," Eris mused. "A rare combination indeed. Tell me, why do you have such unique bloodline?"
Lucian replied coolly, "Honestly, I'm also searching for this answer."
"Forget it," she sighed again and then her expression turned serious, "Although my daughter has already accepted you, the most important event of this Continent is about to occur within a year. So Iris and I both have to prepare."
Eris pondered for a moment, then spoke, "Considering that you've saved Iris and are her... Dao partner, I can give you a chance."
"But before that," she waved her hands and the door of the room suddenly opened.
Then she made a pulling gesture, and at that moment, a panicked voice echoed through the air, "W-what is going onnaghhh..."
Fifth Prince, with a horrified gaze, flew into the room against his will. He had no control over his body as he suspended in mid-air.
"R-royal Mother, what do you mean by this?" Fifth Prince cried out, his face pale with fear.
Empress Eris's eyes turned cold as she looked at him, "I've been ignoring your schemes for far too long, Fifth Prince. Did you think I wouldn't notice your attempts on Iris?"
Fifth Prince's eyes widened in shock. "I-I don't know what you're talking about, Royal Mother!"
She snorted coldly, "You've also tried to harm my... son-in-law."
She had a pause when she referred to Lucian as her son-in-law, as if the words felt strange on her tongue. But she quickly regained her composure.
Before Fifth Prince could plead his innocence, a Sword Qi suddenly appeared in the air, cutting through Fifth Prince's neck like a hot knife through butter!
His head fell to the floor with a thud, eyes still wide with horror and disbelief.
Blood sprayed from the severed neck, staining the luxurious carpet.
The headless body twitched a few times before collapsing lifelessly!
