When a God of Destruction Was Reincarnated in Tensura:

Chapter 195: Depart

After a tense and pivotal week, the Demon Lords had all made their decision: they would ascend to a new level of existence in order to protect the Cardinal World and revive the lost souls. The weight of their choices lingered in the air, but the urgency of the decision was undeniable. Now, with their intentions set, Rimuru called a meeting with his generals and wives—Shizu, Chloe, Shion, and Shuna—who would need to be informed of the critical mission ahead.

As Rimuru gathered everyone together in the main hall of Tempest, he could sense the tension in the air. His generals stood at attention, their faces lined with concern but also determination. His wives, ever supportive, were equally attentive, each processing the gravity of the news in their own way. Rimuru stepped forward, his expression serious but resolute.

"We've made our decision," Rimuru began, his voice calm yet commanding. "The Demon Lords have all agreed to ascend. It's the only way to ensure we can protect the Cardinal World after everything we've gone through. And we need to revive the souls that were lost—souls that have already entered the reincarnation cycle."

Shion, ever the passionate warrior, clenched her fists, her eyes flashing with determination. "So, we're truly going to face the Grand Order, and try to prove ourselves worthy of ascension?"

Rimuru nodded solemnly. "Yes, it will require all of us to show our true strength, and not just physical power. Ascension is not just about strength; it's about understanding the consequences of our actions. If we can convince Beerus of our worth, we will gain the power to reshape the world and save the souls that we lost."

Shizu, who had been quietly listening, spoke up with a calm but insightful tone. "But, Rimuru, what if we fail? What if Beerus decides we are not worthy of such power?"

Rimuru paused, his gaze falling slightly as he considered the question. The thought had crossed his mind too. Beerus was beyond their comprehension—no one could rival his strength or influence. Yet, he knew the stakes. Failure was a possibility, but it was a risk they had to take. "If we fail, the consequences will be dire. But we can't live in fear of failure. This is something we must do. For the sake of the Cardinal World, we need to ascend."

Shuna, always the nurturing one, placed a hand on Rimuru's shoulder. "I trust in you, Rimuru. You've led us through so much, and I know this will be no different. But the journey ahead is uncertain. We must be ready for anything."

Chloe, who had been unusually quiet, spoke up next. Her eyes, sharp and calculating, locked onto Rimuru's. "What about us, Rimuru? If you and the Demon Lords ascend, what will happen to the rest of us? How will we fit into this new reality?"

Rimuru turned to face her, understanding her concern. He had not forgotten about the members of Tempest who had been with him through thick and thin. "You will all be vital to the future of the Cardinal World, whether we ascend or not. We still need your strength and wisdom to maintain order while we take on this new responsibility. You are not being left behind."

Chloe nodded, although a faint unease lingered in her eyes. It was clear that no one truly understood the full implications of the ascension, but they trusted Rimuru and stood by his side.

Shion grinned, her usual fiery spirit evident in her words. "I'll take this new challenge head-on! As always, Rimuru, I'll follow you anywhere!"

Once the discussion concluded, Rimuru dismissed his generals and wives. He gave them time to absorb the news, but there was no time to waste. Guy, Luminous, Milim, Leon, Draguel, and the others needed to return to their domains and prepare for the journey. As Rimuru watched them leave to handle their respective matters, he couldn't shake the weight of the responsibility they were all about to take on. Yet he knew that they had no other choice if they were to protect the world they had worked so hard to build.

Back in Guy Crimson's domain, the Archduke of Hell stood in front of his massive council chamber, a group of his most trusted subordinates standing before him. His expression was impassive, though inwardly he was calculating. Ascension was not something he took lightly. He had fought and schemed for eons to rise to his current position, and the thought of transcending that power was unsettling.

"I have decided to ascend," Guy finally declared, his voice cold and resolute. "But know this—this decision is not just for me. It is for the Cardinal World and its future. We will all face new challenges when we do. The power we seek will change everything. I trust that each of you will continue to lead our forces in my absence."

One of his trusted generals, Lucius, spoke up with a sense of concern. "Lord Guy, we have always trusted in your strength and judgment. But… what will happen to us once you ascend? Will we still be under your command?"

Guy regarded his general with a rare moment of warmth in his gaze. "You will always remain my trusted advisors. But the nature of my power will change, and I cannot predict the consequences. I trust you to manage things in my stead."

Meanwhile, in Ruberios, Luminous stood in her private chambers, looking out over the landscape. She could feel the weight of her decision pressing on her shoulders. Hinata and a few of her closest subordinates stood quietly behind her, waiting for her to speak.

"Hinata, I've decided to ascend," Luminous said softly, her voice steady. "But I cannot do this alone. I will need your guidance, your leadership, and the support of everyone in Ruberios."

Hinata, who had long admired Luminous' strength and leadership, nodded. "We will stand by you, Lady Luminous. But you must understand, this journey will not be easy. The power you seek is beyond anything we can comprehend."

"I know," Luminous replied. "But it is a necessary step, not just for me but for everyone. We have all seen what happens when we fail to act."

Over in Celesterra, Ramiris had made the same decision. She summoned Ivarage, her most trusted aide, to her chambers. Ivarage entered, bowing respectfully, but his usual jovial demeanor was replaced by one of quiet concern.

"Ramiris, I've heard of your decision," Ivarage said, his voice filled with admiration and caution. "But… you realize the risks of ascension, don't you?"

Ramiris smiled, her usual bubbly nature returning. "I know, Ivarage. But we cannot let fear dictate our actions. We must protect Celesterra, and the world. That's why I've decided to leave it in your hands. You will be the king now."

Ivarage's eyes widened with surprise, but he quickly bowed deeply. "I will do my best to protect Celesterra and its people, Lady Ramiris. But please be careful on your journey. We will all be waiting for you."

Over the next few days, each Demon Lord took the time to settle their affairs. They informed their closest confidants, made arrangements for their territories, and ensured that their subordinates would be well taken care of in their absence. It was a strange feeling for many of them—knowing that they would soon leave everything they had built behind in pursuit of something beyond their current comprehension.

And then, the day arrived.

Back at Tempest, the Demon Lords assembled once again, their faces set with determination. They stood together in front of Ramiris, who had brought forth a special artifact—one that allowed her to contact Beerus directly. The atmosphere was thick with anticipation. The portal shimmered to life, and in a flash, they were all transported to Beerus' realm.

As they stepped into the vast, otherworldly space, they could feel the weight of Beerus' presence surrounding them. Whis and Beerus' wives, observing the scene with quiet amusement. Beerus, seated upon his throne, regarded the Demon Lords with an unreadable expression.

"Well, well…" Beerus' voice echoed through the void. "I see you've come. Let's see if you're truly worthy of what you seek."

The Demon Lords bowed respectfully, each one acknowledging the weight of what was about to unfold. The time for decisions had passed. The only thing left now was to prove their worth to Beerus and demonstrate that they were ready to transcend their mortal limits.

The fate of the Cardinal World rested in their hands.
