Chapter 2: The Devil at Work
As soon as Aditya stepped into Singh Industries, the entire atmosphere shifted. The laughter and warmth of his home seemed like a distant dream.
Employees straightened their backs, conversations halted, and tension filled the air. Nobody dared to be in his way as he walked through the grand corridors of his empire.
His assistant followed nervously, listing out his schedule. "Sir, there's a meeting at 10, followed by a lunch with the board members, and—"
"Cancel the lunch," Aditya ordered coldly, adjusting his cufflinks.
The assistant gulped. "B-But sir, it's with the new investors—"
Aditya stopped walking and turned his piercing gaze on him. "Did I stutter?"
"N-No, sir! Right away, sir!"
He entered his office, where a manager was already trembling in fear. "Sir, the reports... they had a minor miscalculation, but I assure you—"
Aditya's eyes darkened. "A minor miscalculation? That mistake cost us five million. Do you think I tolerate carelessness?"
The man swallowed hard. "I-I will fix it, sir!"
"You have two hours," Aditya said, his tone final. "Now get out."
The man practically ran out of the office.
Aditya sat down at his desk, his fingers tapping rhythmically against the surface. The warmth of his family was gone. Here, he was not the brother who got teased—he was the devil everyone feared.
