In no time at all, the elders all disappeared down different hallways.

The entrance that they had entered was one that had different hallways leading to different places.

With how many different hallways there were, the elders were able to effectively split themselves up to explore all of the hallways. All of them except for one that they left alone as if they didn't care about that hallway.

This was the one hallway that the ones that had unloaded the goods had gone down.

They left this one hallway for someone else.

Once the elders all went their separate ways, Lin Fan turned to look at the client who had fallen to the ground from the shockwave of his punch. He had also curled himself up to avoid being hit by the glass that was sent flying by the shockwave of the punch.

It was only now that the client slowly looked up with eyes that were filled with fear.

After all, what Lin Fan did was the last thing that he expected.

"What do you think you're doing?" The client said in a trembling voice at first, but he quickly shrank his head back when he saw the cold gaze that Lin Fan sent in his direction.

It didn't take long for his tone to change as he slowly said in a stuttering voice, "Just, just who are you?"

Lin Fan didn't bother answering this question as he suddenly waved his hand.

When he did, that ball of gas that he had been gathering flew out at the client. The client flinched when he saw this since he knew what kind of gas this was and he tried to get out of the way, but he found that there was something pinning him in place.

It was as if there was this strange pressure that was on him that prevented him from moving.

When he found that he couldn't dodge out of the way, there was a look of panic that appeared in his eyes.

But before that ball of gas could hit him, it suddenly came to a stop in midair.

The client couldn't help letting out a sigh of relief since he knew exactly just how dangerous this ball of gas was. Just a single sniff would have been enough for him to start coughing up blood.

Only that relief that he felt didn't last long since it remained a fact that this ball of gas was still right there in front of his face. If it moved a single inch, then it would hit him in the face and go up his nose.

Once he sniffed this, there was nothing that could be done.

So even if he didn't know what was happening, the only thing that the client could do was say, "What do you want? I know that I tried to kill you, but I'm sure that we can settle this in another way. After all, there's nothing that you gain from killing me."

There was even a trace of confidence in his voice as he said this, as if he convinced himself of this truth.

But there was some logic that was behind this thought since it was right.

Lin Fan just looked at him for a bit before suddenly saying, "Tell me what this place is first."

The client didn't seem surprised to hear this, so he quickly said, "This is a research lab that is funded by the Tie Family. You should know what kind of status the Tie Family has in this Mu Empire, so will you really take that risk? I can see that you have some power, so I'll be the bigger person. As long as you serve as…"

"Oof."

Those were the next words that came out of his mouth as he was kicked right in the stomach by Lin Fan.

When he recovered, he wanted to roar out in anger, but he immediately shut his mouth when he saw the ball of gas in front of him. He didn't even dare breathe out of fear of accidentally breathing in the gas.

Though he had no choice but to breathe since he had the breath knocked out of him.

In the end, he was relieved to find that the gas didn't actually get pulled into his mouth.

Lin Fan didn't care about the look on the client's face as he said, "Tell me about the lab itself. What kind of lab is this?"

The client had a very strange confused look on his face when he heard this. He just looked at Lin Fan almost as if he didn't understand what he was saying, but Lin Fan didn't just let him rest.

Once again, there was another kick that landed on his stomach that made him reel forward.

When the client opened his eyes, he found that there was something strange around him. He saw that there was this green filter that was in front of his face that turned everything that he saw green.

He wasn't certain what this green filter was at first, but then he realized that it was actually the ball of gas from before.

The ball of gas had been completely wrapped around his head as if it was some kind of cage. It seemed that any single breath would be enough to draw that gas into him, which made him scared to do anything.

Lin Fan just slowly said, "Now, tell me what I want to know and I'll remove this ball of gas. If not…"

He didn't finish his words, but the threat in his voice was more than enough.

A chill ran down the client's back and he couldn't help giving a gulp even though there was that ball of gas around his face.

In the end, he slowly said, "I don't know what you want to know…This is just a normal lab, there's nothing special about…"

Before he could finish, he suddenly swallowed his words.

That was because he could see that the green filter was becoming stronger.

He could see that the ball of gas around his head was actually coming closer to him.

It didn't seem like it would take long before it was right in front of his face.

"Wait, wait, wait! There really isn't anything special about this lab! It's just a normal lab where we study spirit beasts!"

When he said this in a panic, that was when the ball of gas finally stopped moving closer to him.

Lin Fan narrowed his eyes to look at the client after hearing this.

With a wave of his hand, the ball of gas actually became wider around his head.

When he saw this, the client took a deep breath before letting out a sigh of relief. Though there was also a look of fear in his eyes after he let out this sigh of relief since he was scared by Lin Fan's power.

A person that was able to control the poison gas as easily as this definitely wouldn't be a normal person.

No, even if he was a cultivator, this was not something that any normal cultivator would be able to do.

This was something that only someone who was in the Qi Condensation Realm or higher would be able to do. After all, one had to at least be in that realm to control their spiritual energy like this to control the gas.

The client gave another gulp before asking, "Why are you so interested in this place? If you're interested in the research, then we can connect you to the director so you can talk to him about cooperating. There's no need for things to go this far, we can still talk things through."

At this point, he was just desperate.

At this point, he was just saying anything that he could think of to save his own life.

But of course, Lin Fan wasn't moved by this at all.

Instead, he just said, "Do you know the name Tucker?"

The client was surprised to hear this and there was a trace of confusion in his eyes after hearing this.

After all, this was a name that he hadn't heard of before, but there was a part of him that felt like he recognized this.

It took a while for the client to finally remember this name.

"You mean the creator of the Tucker Method? He's just someone that created the method that we use to test on the spirit beasts, why does this matter?"

After Lin Fan heard this, he narrowed his eyes and asked, "Then you really don't know anything about the person himself?"

"He's dead, isn't he?" The client said in a confused voice.

Lin Fan narrowed his eyes even more after hearing this before saying, "Are you sure of this?"

The client just didn't understand what Lin Fan meant by this as he continued on insisting, "The person who created this method is long dead. What are you even talking about? Why are you asking about a dead person?"

Lin Fan saw that there was no hesitation in this voice and true confusion in his eyes.

That meant that he either was very good at lying or…he really believed this.

It seemed that there wasn't anything that he would be able to get out of this person.

So…

"Alright, I'll keep my end of the bargain."

With a snap of his finger, the ball of gas returned to his hand.

Only what followed made the client say, "You lied! You said that you would let me go!"

Lin Fan just coldly watched him being pressed into the ground like a meat patty before saying, "I only said that I would get rid of the gas and I did. I never said that I would spare you. You wanted to kill us, it's only fair that you receive the same treatment."
