Wizard Bloodline

Chapter 142: Chapter 142: Posilina's Wager Agreement! This Is Me!

Ronan's expression remained unchanged, seemingly expecting the Ice Crystal Serpent's hard scales.

"Explode!"

He released the lance, and the two-tier metals and three ice spells with extraordinary domain power exploded simultaneously.

"Boom!"

A tsunami of energy waves mixed with searing heat and icy gusts formed a small, expanding mushroom cloud.

Ronan retreated with the wave, when suddenly, the mushroom cloud split open, and a ferocious serpent shadow shot towards him.

"Domain!"

Ronan spread his arms, his white hair rising sharply.

Under [Tundra Frozen Ground], a despair-filled icy domain spread rapidly from him.

The domain's power froze the air, spawning numerous frost spears that grew rapidly, forming a treacherous forest of icy thorns in the sky.

In an instant, a thorny forest of ice appeared out of nowhere, spanning several miles!

Countless icy thorns intertwined, densely packed, leaving no room to stand.

Yet, this cold, thorny "domain" only slightly slowed the oncoming serpent shadow.

The Ice Crystal Serpent barreled into the domain, its massive body brushing aside the thorns effortlessly, leaving no trace.

"This creature's ice resistance has grown stronger..."

Ronan observed, eyes narrowing as the serpent charged. Instead of retreating, he advanced, summoning the exploded metals back into a dazzling silver lance.

A thick layer of ice coated the blue glow in his eyes, freezing stray thoughts and emotions deep within.

[Lake of No Thought]!

He gripped the lance and closed in.

Unlike typical wizards, Ronan's close-combat style leveraged his strengths, especially when ice spells were ineffective against the ancient Ice Crystal Serpent.

Man and serpent collided fiercely, unleashing powerful energy shockwaves.

Three extraordinary domain powers intertwined around Ronan, distinct yet subtly linked.

Howling pure white ice blades, spinning despair ice spheres, and rampant ice veins...

The three spells alternated, relentlessly bombarding the serpent's body.

Over the twenty days, both Ronan and the Ice Crystal Serpent had grown significantly!

Ronan's understanding of the three-domain fusion deepened, revealing new domain powers.

As he continued casting domains, a sudden insight struck Ronan.

Instantly, the tenuous connections between the three ice domains sharpened, their cooperation tightening.

"Crack—"

The intertwined domains shrank abruptly, solidifying several times over, as if transforming into a new state.

"Swish—"

Ronan swept the lance, its tip cutting through the air, the rich three-domain aura forming an invisible, terrifying blade that slashed through the air, striking the serpent's massive body.

"Crack—"

With a crisp sound, the Ice Crystal Serpent, previously unscathed, had several scales shattered, like being sliced by a sharp blade, revealing a long gash with blue-tinged red blood flowing out.

"Hiss—"

The serpent, injured for the first time, hissed angrily, but before it could react, the terrifying force of the three-domain fusion struck again.

Another long wound appeared on its body.

"Buzz—"

Clad in ice crystal armor, white hair flowing, Ronan's lance lowered naturally, stepping through the void towards the serpent, expressionless.

The three-domain fusion's power and domain spread, falling repeatedly on the serpent, leaving wounds in its wake.

The Ice Crystal Serpent retreated continuously, fear and hesitation flickering in its crimson eyes for the first time.

It seemed to realize that the man who had awakened, captured, and tried to tame it had always had the power to harm it but chose not to.

"Hiss, hiss—"

The serpent flicked its tongue, its ancient beast ferocity fully awakened by the injuries.

Ice energy streams converged on the serpent, a greater power stirring within.

"Submit?"

The spear-wielding youth descended, his voice cold and emotionless.

"Roar!"

The serpent roared defiantly, jaws wide, ready to swallow him!

In the next moment, the youth's terrifying aura enveloped it, layers of ice forming instantly. This sealing technique, infused with a hint of three-domain fusion power, left the serpent no resistance, freezing it into a massive ice chunk.

Ronan exited [Lake of No Thought], the three-domain fusion's power receding.

"See that, Bennigo?"

He gestured, collecting the serpent's spilled blood before turning to Bennigo, who had come to watch.

"This creature is hard to tame."

"Ancient relic species, especially purebloods, have noble bloodlines that don't easily submit," Bennigo replied slowly. "You might succeed when you're stronger."

Ronan nodded, handing the serpent's blood to Bennigo.

"Is this enough blood?"

"Just about," Bennigo replied, frowning. "Too bad it's only regular blood. Essence blood would be better. This might barely work for transplantation but not optimally. Careful, Damien!"

Before Bennigo finished, a shocked expression crossed his face as he retreated, urgently warning Ronan.

Before Bennigo's warning, Ronan sensed intense danger behind him.

He turned, arms raised, creating ice and silver metal barriers, mostly shielding Bennigo's side.

Then, with a muffled "bang," the sealing ice block exploded into fine ice dust.

A serpent, shrouded in dazzling blue, tore through his barriers, appearing before him.

"Boom!"

Ronan vanished instantly, a distant mountain echoing with a deafening crash, sending dust billowing skyward.

"Hiss, hiss—"

The radiant, horned Ice Crystal Serpent appeared, unharmed, where Ronan once stood, exuding terrifying power far surpassing before.

It raised its head, silently roaring, the temperature plummeting, snowflakes drifting like it was venting its earlier suppression and frustration.

"Boom!"

But before the empowered serpent could vent, an even louder explosion came from afar.

The collapsed mountain erupted, the dust split by an invisible force, revealing a figure bathed in blazing white flames.

A towering, muscular figure over two meters tall, with white hair flowing to the waist, a face veined and fierce yet handsome, exuding demonic allure.

"Ascended to tier two?"

In "Half-Giant" form, Ronan's pure white eyes distorted the void and light with each word.

Invisible waves spread far, toppling green waves across the forest. As Ronan advanced, the waves parted.

"Such enviable talent and bloodline, ancient one."

Ronan spoke softly, becoming a sunlit wisp.

Reappearing, he stood before the Ice Crystal Serpent, ready to strike.

"Thud!"

A dull sound like a hammer on ice.

A visible airwave exploded in the sky.

The massive Ice Crystal Serpent fell like a meteor, slamming into the forest below.

Trees shattered, the serpent roared furiously, its long body thrashing, yet an invisible force pinned it to the ground.

Upon closer look, a lit figure stood on its neck.

Though vastly different in size, it felt like a giant pinning a worm.

"You still resist."

Ronan's fingers, like knives, rose as muscles bunched, his strength flowing. His fingers pierced the serpent's scales, drawing blood.

"Then I'll beat you into submission."

Ronan stated calmly, lifting the massive serpent like a mountain and slamming it down.

"Boom!"

The nearby forest trembled.

Bennigo stood at a distance, watching in a daze.

His relationship with Ronan was nuanced; partners who entrusted each other yet never fully understood.

This was the first time he saw such power in Ronan.

His already fragile soul seemed to tremble further.

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

"Thud!"

Once, twice, thrice...

Ronan learned to "play with the serpent," or rather, tame it.

The surrounding forest flattened, and Ronan lost count of how many times he slammed it down.

He only noticed the serpent stopped resisting, growing limp.

"Boom!"

Finally, he pinned the serpent underfoot.

Ronan walked from its heart to its head, stepping over shattered scales, finally peering into its dim red eyes.

"Submit?"

He asked calmly.

"Hiss—"

A weak hiss came from the serpent, its tongue listlessly flicking against Ronan's cheek.

As if answering him.

Ronan allowed the tongue's gentle lashes, expressionless.

He murmured, biting his fingertip, inscribing a complex rune in the air.

"Let the gods of contract and oath witness the master-slave bond."

Ronan pressed the rune towards the serpent's brow.

Yet the rune, formed of blood and spirit, couldn't penetrate, resisted by an invisible force.

The heavily wounded serpent raised its head, meeting Ronan's gaze with proud eyes.

"Pop—"

The rune shattered.

The contract failed.

How many attempts now?

Ronan lost count.

He hadn't expected the young serpent's stubbornness, refusing to submit even at death's door.

"Kill it."

Bennigo's voice came from the side.

Ronan turned, seeing Bennigo recovered, showing cold detachment.

"Kill it for its essence blood, purify it with the Sacred Blood Tree, and transplant it into you. The body is a rare treasure."

Bennigo spoke coldly, "I know you hesitate. An ancient pureblood serpent has limitless potential, a great asset as a familiar."

"But it won't accept you, sees you as an enemy. Its growth will soon exceed your control, becoming a disaster."

"An untamed beast, however mighty, is just a pelt."

"Damien, killing it is your best choice."

Ronan listened, eyes flickering between the proud serpent and Bennigo.

Finally.

The flickering light in Ronan's eyes steadied, decision made.

"Abos&%Nam%&*"

Ronan began another incantation, inscribing a different rune.

Bennigo thought he was trying again, but something felt off.

When Bennigo realized Ronan's intent, his face changed, shouting, "You're making that contract! Damien, do you know what this means? Are you insane?!"

"Buzz!"

Ronan finished the incantation, his final stroke.

A rune, complex and twisted like scales, appeared in his palm.

Ronan's eyes shone brightly.

He looked at the rune, smiling, "I'm not insane, Bennigo."

"Only this contract might it accept. I want its willing loyalty, its future aid."

"I know what this means."

"Whoosh—"

A sudden gale lifted Ronan's long hair. He gazed skyward, radiant.

"Don't you find... this life more interesting? The unknown, challenges, conquering the unconquerable!"

"Bennigo, this is me!"

Ronan turned to Bennigo, who seemed to see him anew.

Bennigo's expression calmed, stepping back, silent.

Ronan closed his eyes, contemplating, weighing, enjoying the moment's peace.

Finally, he opened his eyes, pressing the rune to the serpent's brow.

He spoke softly.

"I offer you a chance."

"A chance to one day repay all your pain, frustration, humiliation on me."

"Do you dare accept? This Posilina Soul Contract!"

White eyes met crimson ones, silent exchange under the sky.

"Hiss—"

The rune vanished into scales, the contract sealed.

A bond formed between them.

Seeing the serpent accept, a smile spread on Ronan's face.

He stood alone under the sky, as if the world was his.

Posilina Soul Contract.

Also known as "Posilina's Wager Agreement."

A master-slave contract, but unlike typical soul contracts, it allowed role reversal.

The strong ruled, the weak served!

If one challenged the other and won, roles reversed!

A soul's wager of everything!

A mortal compe

ting for ancient blood!

Ronan, shedding the "Half-Giant" form, felt a transformation and rebirth of the soul!

Contract sealed.

Despite the unprecedented risk.

Ronan achieved his goal.

With the "master" role, the once defiant Ice Crystal Serpent became obedient.

Whether due to the contract or the recent beating, it was uncertain.
