Chapter 70: Ch 70: Weird Stuff
Arthur sat in the cozy wooden cabin he, Solaire, and the Chosen Undead had built, working on two rings with teleportation function. These rings would allow his friends to visit his world whenever they wished, ensuring their bond remained unbroken. "Alright, here you go," he said, handing the rings to Solaire and the Chosen Undead. "Feel free to drop by. Wall-E can whip up burgers or BBQ anytime."
Once his friends left for the Dark Souls world, Arthur felt the familiar buzz of his phone—an unexpected call from his Alucard clone. Intrigued, Arthur answered, "Hello?"
The clone's voice was laced with tension. "Arthur, we have a problem."
Arthur frowned. "Problem? What happened?"
"I slept with Mei Terumī."
Arthur froze, his voice rising. "YOU DID WHAT?"
Garuda, startled by the shout, tumbled from the branch he'd been perched on.
The clone quickly clarified, "Not slept slept! Just... slept slept."
Arthur, still confused, demanded, "THE HELL YOU MEAN NOT SLEPT SLEPT BUT SLEPT SLEPT? SPEAK NORMALLY!"
The clone sighed. "I mean we just shared a bed. Nothing... adult happened."
Arthur exhaled in relief. "Okay, but... how old is she anyway?"
The clone hesitated. "I don't know. Fifteen? Sixteen?"
Arthur's heart sank. "WHAT? THAT'S A KID! WHAT ARE YOU, A PEDO? Wait, you're me—does that make me a—"
The clone cut him off. "She came to my bed while I was asleep! I didn't do anything!"
Arthur groaned, rubbing his temples. "For the love of... Next time, lead with that, you idiot. You scared the crap out of me."
---
After calming down, Arthur decided to check in on the situation himself, preparing to leave his universe momentarily. Trouble seemed to follow him, whether it was his own doing or his clone's.
---
I arrived at the house where my Alucard clone was staying. The moment I walked in, I noticed something off—he didn't look like Alucard anymore. Instead, he looked like me, but with dark brown hair and brown eyes, though he still wore Alucard's iconic clothing.
"What's with the new look?" I asked, gesturing at his changed appearance.
He shrugged. "About a month ago, I went to a restaurant, and my old appearance freaked everyone out, so I switched it up."
I nodded. "Makes sense."
I glanced around the room and asked, "So, what are you doing here in... wherever this is?"
"I'm helping with the Kiri rebellion," he replied casually.
"Why?"
"I was bored."
I rolled my eyes. "Boredom drives you to start meddling in a rebellion? Typical."
He smirked. "It's not like I have much else to do. Gotta keeps things interesting."
"Sooo... how did you end up sleeping with Mei?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
He sighed and leaned back in his chair. "She got injured in a raid, so I brought her here to heal her. After patching her up, I fell asleep. Next thing I know, I wake up, and she's lying on top of me."
I tilted my head, thinking it over. "Huh. Makes sense, I guess. Still, that's a little... complicated."
"Tell me about it," he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck.
I gave him a long look before shrugging. "Well, at least you didn't do anything dumb."
"Glad you have that much faith in me," he said dryly.
"Don't push it," I retorted. "Anyway, what's the plan now?"
"Well, the rebellion is still ongoing. I've been using my abilities to help out from the shadows, but things are heating up."
"Of course they are," I muttered, already sensing I'd get dragged into this mess.
I asked, "Need any help?"
My clone shrugged. "Not really."
"Alright then," I said, stretching my arms. "I think I'll go visit Minato and Kushina. How long has it been since I last saw them?"
"About four months," he replied.
"Huh. So, one month in Dark Souls is two months here? Got it."
Without another word, I leapt outside and started running toward Konoha.
As the familiar walls of the village came into view, I smirked, sneaking past the entrance with ease. Within minutes, I stood before the Namikaze residence and rang the doorbell, waiting for someone to answer.
"Coming!" Kushina's voice came from inside. The door opened, and her face lit up with a wide smile. "Arthur! It's so good to see you! Come in, come in."
I stepped inside, nodding. "Excuse me."
"How have you been?" she asked as we walked into the living room.
"It's only been a few months, Kushina-san."
"Still, that's a long time!" she insisted. "So, what brings you here?"
"I was nearby and thought, why not drop by?"
"Good!" she said with a grin. "Keep visiting, okay? Oh, wait, let me get Naruto. He's growing so fast; you won't believe it!"
She hurried off while I sat there awkwardly. A moment later, Kushina returned with baby Naruto in her arms. She handed him to me and said, "Hold him while I call Minato."
Naruto stared up at me, and I stared right back.
"What are you looking at?" I thought, squinting.
Kushina was on the phone with Minato, completely forgetting about me, as Naruto and I continued our intense staring contest.
---
This kid is weird—how could someone keep their eyes open for so long? Naruto didn't even blink. Just as I was beginning to feel defeated in our silent contest, Kushina returned, snapping me out of it.
We chatted while waiting for Minato, catching up on everything. The rest of the day was spent with the Namikaze family—relaxing, laughing, and enjoying their company.
Later that evening, I said my goodbyes and returned to my universe. As I looked out at the stars, I wondered, Where should I go next?
