Chapter 39: CH: 39 Disappointed Optimus Prime
[Chapter: 39 Disappointed Optimus Prime]
Tessa held her head in her hands, and a tear of fear came out. She was shot. But if she was shot, she would die. So why didn't she die?
The pain she imagined didn't come. Tessa slowly let go of her head and looked at William. What happened to "I, you"?
William turned his hand to reveal the bullet in his palm. "You're not dead; I was just kidding." William laughed and walked away.
Tessa stared at William's back. "Just kidding?! Is this a joke? He almost scared me to death."
"No." Tessa's eyes were deeply frightened. "The bullet in his hand wasn't clean like a normal bullet." She shook her head, speaking to herself in disbelief. "He caught the bullet at such close range. Is this something humans can do? He's not human."
---
At night, William returned to the abandoned gas station with a few roasted rabbits. Cade and Tessa both looked at William. Tessa's eyes held a hint of fear. This man was terrible and terrifying. What was his purpose? Should she tell her dad?
"Come here. If you're hungry, we have rabbit for dinner." William placed the roasted rabbits on the table.
"Hmph." Tessa turned her face away.
Cade said, "Thank you," but wasn't polite as he started eating. "Tessa, you can eat too."
"I don't want to eat; I'm not hungry," Tessa refused.
"Tessa, you should cherish others' hard work," William emphasized the word "cherish."
Tessa's pupils narrowed, a flicker of fear flashing through her as she thought about William's actions earlier that day. "I-I know." Damn it, why is there fear in my heart? Am I scared of him?
William finished eating a roast rabbit by himself. "That hit the spot. Haha, you can go on; I'm going to bed first." He walked out.
Father and daughter ate silently, their hearts heavy.
"Dad."
"What's the matter?" Cade looked at Tessa.
"I... William is very dangerous. He must have some kind of plan for being here," Tessa insisted.
Cade was silent for a moment before saying, "I know. An average person can't do what he does. He is strong, and he is dangerous."
"Then..." Tessa hesitated.
"But he saved our lives," Cade said lightly.
Tessa looked helpless. "Well, I hope nothing bad happens. Otherwise, he'll regret it."
William sat on the roof with a wicked smile. "I'll regret it, huh? Hehehe." With that, he leaped off the roof, running in one direction at a speed of over 50 meters per second—180 kilometers per hour.
William ran around and eventually spotted the head of an old Mercedes truck. Running up to it, he ran parallel to the truck's front.
The head of the dilapidated truck began to transform. Amid the creaking sounds, it became Optimus Prime, who looked at William. "Human, what do you want?"
William smiled. "Oh, if it isn't the great Optimus Prime? I didn't expect to meet you here. How did you know someone was nearby?"
"Human, what is your purpose for coming here?" Optimus's voice grew louder.
"For the peace of Earth and the universe." William looked at the sky and stars. "You see how beautiful the stars are."
"Be honest." Optimus struck the ground with a punch, causing it to tremble.
William waved his hand. "Okay, okay. Tell me, what do you think of humans?"
"Humans?" Optimus was silent for a while. "I've always believed you are a promising race, which is why I've been helping humans in the past. But now..."
"What's wrong now?" William asked.
"Why do you ask me this?" Optimus countered.
"I just want to hear what you, the great Autobot leader, think of us humans." William spread his arms.
"Humans, what do you think of yourselves?"
"Oh, how else can I think of it? I believe humans are weak, that's all. So I think you Autobots are stupid," William said disdainfully.
Optimus didn't get angry. "Why do you say that?"
"Because your Autobots are being hunted down by humans. In their eyes, Autobots are no different from Decepticons. Even though you help humans defeat the Decepticons, to humans, you are all threats, and both of you should be eliminated," William said lightly.
Optimus Prime looked at William for a while. "Who are you? Are you trying to destroy my last illusion of goodwill toward humans?" Optimus Prime, as the leader of the Autobots, was still very intelligent.
"No, not at all." William shook a finger. "I'm just stating a fact."
"Your name is William, right?"
William nodded.
"William, you're not concerned about us Autobots. So, what is your purpose?"
"Well, I guess this will be it for tonight." William smiled. It was enough for now—he had planted the seed and could wait for it to grow.
Optimus watched William's back. "Human, be careful." William walked quickly ahead. Although he was a hundred or two hundred meters away, Optimus's words still reached his ears.
"Be careful? However, there's no point in being careful. No one can stop me," William said with a smile. A blue light flashed, and an aerial camera appeared in his hands.
This aerial camera was taken from a previous helicopter and recorded a lot of valuable information. William believed the Autobots would be very interested in watching it.
William couldn't call upon the energy of the Tesseract yet. Its energy was too powerful for his human body. William understood that his current level was far from enough.
While the limitless energy of the Tesseract couldn't be fully harnessed, it was still sufficient to create a small, independent pocket dimension. William had claimed this pocket space as his personal inventory. He carefully filled it with essentials, including his shield, several firearms, cash, and a variety of clothing and supplies purchased for both himself and Peggy. Among the items were various necessities, entertainment products, and comforts—luxuries the bleak and barren Villain Space sorely lacked. He wasn't about to let Peggy or his future women succumb to boredom while he was off on his adventures. His spending on these provisions alone had exceeded a million dollars.
William had also indulged in a particular whim, stocking up on an impressive collection of sexy outfits for Peggy and any women he might add to his life. These included an array of daring ensembles designed for cosplay, ranging from a sultry nun to a provocative nurse, a seductive teacher, and many more. In essence, he was wielding the Space Stone as the ultimate personal inventory, blending practicality with an undeniably indulgent touch.
Now, they were always available whenever he wanted to use them.
