Zongman: I sign in at the second dimension

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Playtime

Tatsuki glanced over at Chiane and Kevin, noticing they were laughing at him—and he couldn't help but feel exasperated.

Time for a flashy transition!

After the final class ended, Tatsuki, Chiane, and Kevin staggered out of the classroom and made their way toward the school gate.

"Another day... Thank goodness we didn't get any homework today, or else..." Chiane complained nonchalantly.

"Come on, man, what are you afraid of? We've got the top student of Zongwu High—our 'brother' Tatsuki—so if you're stuck, just copy his homework! Hahaha!" Kevin said as he wrapped an arm around Tatsuki's shoulder, practically bumping into him.

Tatsuki sighed in exasperation. "Seriously, you two can't keep doing that—always copying my homework isn't exactly fun!"

Kevin burst into laughter, "Hahaha, it's gotta be that way! You know my and Chiane's attitude—if we didn't have an excuse, we'd never even lift a pen!"

Chiane grinned in agreement, which only made Tatsuki's irritation spike. He felt a surge of anger—he really wanted to thump those two—but instead he vented his frustration by launching into a mock-serious rant about traditional martial arts wisdom.

"Damn it, you idiots! I'm so pissed I could really take you both on!" Tatsuki fumed, and only then did he feel a slight release.

Even after his tirade, Chiane and Kevin just smiled cheekily. After all, a little scolding never hurt when it meant they could later swap in the answers from his completed homework.

"Alright, alright, enough already. Let's go—today I'm taking you out for milk tea! Chiane and I are buying, how about it, Tatsuki? Right, Chiane?" Kevin said with a wide, mischievous grin.

"Sure thing! Treating our big bro to milk tea? And I can afford it!" Chiane agreed enthusiastically.

"Okay then—if you're buying, I won't argue!" Tatsuki replied, a smile finally breaking across his face.

Laughter erupted from the trio as they set off, leaving campus behind and heading toward the bustling city center of Chiba.

Another flashy transition!

After about five minutes of brisk walking, they reached downtown Chiba. Kevin scanned the area, then pointed decisively in one direction.

"Let's hit that milk tea shop," he declared.

"Is it any good?" Chiane asked, a hint of skepticism in his tone.

"Yeah! If the tea isn't great, how are we supposed to have energy for gaming later?" Tatsuki replied coolly.

"Don't worry—trust me, I've been there. The taste is top-notch. Let's roll!" Kevin urged eagerly.

"Alright, alright—let's go, Chiane," said Tatsuki, and soon the trio was making their way in the direction Kevin pointed.

They pushed open the door of the milk tea shop. The cheerful attendant, a cute girl with a bright smile, quickly put her phone aside and greeted them, "Welcome! What can I get for you today?" She handed out three menus—one each for Tatsuki, Chiane, and Kevin.

After a moment of perusing the options, they placed their orders:

Tatsuki: "One Passion Fruit Honey Milk Tea, please."

Kevin: "I'll have a Fruit Combo Tea!"

Chiane: "And one Honey Grapefruit Tea for me."

The attendant confirmed, "That's one Passion Fruit Honey Milk Tea, one Fruit Combo, and one Honey Grapefruit Tea—a total of 3000 Sakura Coins. Who's paying?"

Tatsuki patted Kevin and Chiane on the shoulder and led them further into the shop.

Kevin fished out his phone and declared, "I got this. Chiane, you and Tatsuki sit tight—I'm just off to hit the restroom."

"Okay…" came the reply.

A quick tap on his payment app later, Kevin announced, "Payment successful!" and then, clutching the order number, he strode off toward the restroom.

Another flashy transition!

With Kevin temporarily out, Chiane hefted his backpack and ambled over to Tatsuki. Tatsuki looked up and asked, "Hey, where did that damn Kevin go?"

Chiane, setting his bag on the table, replied, "He's off to the restroom."

"Alright then—let's get this game on, just the two of us! Once our drinks and Kevin return, we'll start a match!" Tatsuki said with a spark in his eyes.

"Yeah! I'm about to go on a killing spree!" Chiane replied with wild enthusiasm.

The two whipped out their smartphones and dove into a game, their competitive banter filling the air.

(I'll skip over the detailed gameplay part…)

After finishing their game at the milk tea shop, the trio eventually went their separate ways. Tatsuki, carrying his backpack in one hand and his phone with music in his ears, strolled past the bustling market. Suddenly, he heard someone calling his name.

"Tatsuki-kun! Please wait for me!"

Tatsuki halted and turned toward the sound. There, standing across the road with a shopping basket in one hand, was Katou Megumi, waving at him.

Tatsuki stood still, waiting as Megumi crossed over. When she reached his side, she smiled softly and said, "Good evening, Tatsuki-kun."

"Good evening, Megumi," Tatsuki replied with a nod.

"Come on, it's getting late—let's head home."

"Sure…" Tatsuki agreed.

Soon the two walked side by side. Megumi, chatting as they strolled, asked, "Tatsuki-kun, why did you only leave school so late tonight?"

"Eh? It's nothing—I went to the milk tea shop with my friends, played some games, and that's why I got home late."

"Oh, I see… No wonder—I thought you went off to a club or something."

"Club? I haven't joined any clubs, nor do I plan to. How about you, Megumi?"

"Same here—I'm not joining one either..."

Tatsuki teased, "Then what if I start my own club someday? Megumi, you should totally join!"
