Chapter 15: Chapter 15: Your Boy's the Winner
Tatsuki launched a powerful kick straight into Mokudai's face. The blow sent the gang leader staggering, his body swaying as if he were about to collapse. Without hesitation, Tatsuki followed up with two crushing punches that rained down on Mokudai. Overwhelmed by the onslaught, Mokudai crumpled to the ground.
Tatsuki tucked away his nunchaku and pulled his phone from his pocket. Scanning his contacts, he dialed a number before turning his attention back to the scene.
Nearby, the trio—Kotori, Shikina, and Nan Zui—jumped up in sheer excitement upon seeing all five of the unruly thugs dispatched by Tatsuki.
"Yes! My dinner is saved!" Nan Zui cheered, her eyes sparkling with relief.
"That was too close—phew, we're safe now!" Shikina exclaimed, patting her chest slowly.
Kotori smirked and teased, "You just love eating, don't you, Nan Zui?"
From around the corner, Katou Megumi emerged carrying her shopping basket. She stepped up to Tatsuki, gently brushed the dust off his jacket, and softly asked, "Tatsuki-kun, are you alright?"
Still on his call, Tatsuki merely shook his head, indicating he was fine. Soon, the three girls approached him, bowing slightly as they said, "Thank you for saving us, big brother!"
After finishing his call, Tatsuki waved modestly and replied, "It's nothing…"
Glancing at the three beautiful girls before him—Kotori with her fiery red hair, Shikina with her cool blue locks, and Nan Zui with her vibrant green hair—Tatsuki couldn't help but smile inwardly. In his thoughts, he mused, "Wow, Kotori, Shikina, Nan Zui… I wonder if there's anyone as fierce as Kurumi Tokisaki, or maybe even Tohka Yatogami, Orihime, Hachibami Yekuya, Hachibami Yuzuru, Yuusumi, Honjou Er Ya, Hoshimiya Rokugui, Manyouri, or even Mio's mom!" Though his thoughts raced wildly, his expression remained composed as he asked Kotori, "How did you all end up in this deserted alley? Did those five bastards force you in?"
Kotori nodded. "We didn't want to come here at all—but we were so frightened by those five jerks that we rushed in here!"
"Hmph, it's all because they scared us stiff!" Nan Zui added haughtily.
"Thank you, big brother—and thank you, big sister!" Shikina said, standing beside Kotori.
Katou Megumi interjected softly, "It's nothing. I was just watching from the sidelines, too—I didn't even have to lift a finger."
Shikina grinned. "It's okay—I just felt that having a sister help out is enough!"
Tatsuki looked around and said, "Alright, it's getting late and it's not exactly safe out there. How about I and Megumi escort you home?"
The girls hesitated for a moment, then exchanged glances. Finally, Kotori sighed and said, "Then it's up to you—Oni-chan and Onai-chan!"
Megumi smiled warmly, "Don't worry, little sisters—we, Tatsuki and I, will get you home safely."
They repeated their thanks in unison.
Tatsuki nodded. "Okay, Megumi, let's get moving. The police will be here any minute, so we can leave the rest to them."
"Understood, Tatsuki-kun!" they chorused.
Just as everyone was preparing to leave, Kotori suddenly remembered something. She strode over to the unconscious green-haired thug and, with a swift kick, delivered a punishing blow. The thug jolted awake briefly in agony—only to be overwhelmed by searing pain and collapse again.
Tatsuki picked up his backpack and watched Kotori's brutal kick, wincing slightly as he felt a twinge of pain himself. Inwardly, he pitied the thug's fate—some guys just have no sense, always provoking Kotori with that stupid black band!
As Tatsuki and his group emerged from the alley, police cars rolled up right on cue. The side door of the lead car swung open, and a slightly chubby middle-aged officer stepped out with a friendly smile. "Mr. Tatsuki, and ladies, my apologies for the delay."
Katou Megumi and the girls nodded politely, and Tatsuki replied, "No worries—it's nothing. Just a few petty troublemakers. Go ahead and take them in."
The police chief barked to his team, "Hurry up and arrest those inside!"
"Yes, Chief!" came the response as officers marched into the alley. Moments later, the ruffians—now sporting rose-gold bracelets—were cuffed and loaded into the police car before speeding off to the station.
After confirming that the miscreants were on their way to jail, the chief turned to Tatsuki. "Mr. Tatsuki, would you and these ladies like a ride home?"
Tatsuki shook his head. "No, Chief Sansui, we'll just walk."
Soon after, Tatsuki and Megumi led the girls out. "Take care, Mr. Tatsuki and ladies," the chief called out, waving goodbye.
Tatsuki raised his hand in farewell and then told Kotori, "You lead the way—we, Megumi and I, will see you home."
"Alright, let's go. By the way, what are your names, ladies? I'm Katou Megumi, and this big brother is Tatsuki. And you are?" Megumi asked, swinging her basket as they walked.
Kotori, feeling more at ease with Tatsuki's friendly demeanor, replied, "I'm Kotori."
Shikina and Nan Zui soon introduced themselves as well.
