Since humanity can remember, the world has been plagued by the Evil One and its damned minions: beasts, witches, demons. They hide among pious folk, and it's up to the Church and the Inquisition to protect the Principality from such unholy threats. Inquisitor Nene, fresh from her training, is sent to the border of the Principality to purge a couple of damned who still comply with faith, thus submitting themselves willingly to the purge. It was supposed to be her first task, her trial by fire, but it turns out to be so much more… This is how her journey begins, through a grim, brutal and mysterious world beyond her imagination. Content: Vespro is settled in an interconnected fantasy world based on Christian mythology and the Dark Ages.  - Main Character morally struggling, torn between dogma and common sense. - Dark Fantasy setting with monsters, witches, creepy legends and mystery. People die and suffer. - Immersive, interior focus and a heavily biased POV. - Exploration, character development and lore discovery are the main focus. Some action here and there.
