Chapter 1: 1 Dying like a hero was worth it.
"Leo, I am currently in the capital, and I am using the Eternity Tome at maximum. Go to the Laboratory and break the Star Core. The Insectoids' main target is the Artifacts there—we can't let them have it, no matter what," the Grand Warden's voice echoed in his mind through a mental transmission.
Leo's face darkened. His grip tightened around the Star Core, a glowing, star-like object pulsing with unstable energy.
"So this is its purpose?"
Grand Warden had entrusted him with this mysterious artifact along with the Summoning Puppet, but until now, he never understood why. Today, he had his answer—and he hated it.
Suicide.
Sure, the Eternity Tome made you invincible, but Grand Warden was far from him. The further the distance, the weaker its effects. His invincibility wouldn't last much longer.
But if he didn't act, the Empire would fall.
Taking a deep breath, he turned to the embattled troops around him. They were fighting desperately, holding back the Insectoid horde that had breached the capital's defenses.
"Heal, Rage, Haste, and Strength!"
Leo cast multiple high-tier spells simultaneously, empowering his warriors with supernatural speed, resilience, and raw strength. The battlefield burned with golden and crimson auras as his buffs took effect.
Then, without looking back, he sprinted deeper into the Laboratory.
Suddenly, a golden radiance engulfed Leo—his wounds healed instantly, and his drained mana surged back.
"Grand Warden has started."
He clenched his fists. This was his window. He had no time to waste.
The ground trembled.
A shadow loomed overhead, and in the next instant, the roof was torn away. A monstrous Insectoid Titan glared down at him with compound eyes, its mandibles clicking in hunger.
Leo ignored it and pushed forward.
Lightning crackled at his fingertips.
"Lightning!"
A bolt of divine energy struck down from the heavens, annihilating several Insectoids. But for everyone he killed, more swarmed from the Titan's body like a never-ending tide.
They were endless.
He reached the Artifact Vault and slammed his palm against the biometric panel. The doors slid open, revealing rows of glowing pods.
Inside, ancient relics of immense power floated, suspended in containment fields.
Artifacts of legend.
Eternity Tome (Replica) – Grants invincibility for a limited time.
Life Gem – Resurrection capabilities.
Rage Gem – Strength amplification.
Healing Tome – Continuous healing over time.
Magic Mirror – A tool capable of reflecting and absorbing spells.
Dark Orb – A mysterious, corrupted energy core.
And many others.
Leo exhaled sharply, feeling the Eternity Tome's protection starting to fade.
His fingers curled around the Star Core.
"Tch… fate sure loves screwing with me."
With a resigned smirk, he crushed it in his hand.
A pulse of cosmic energy rippled outward.
At that exact moment, the doors behind him exploded.
A horde of Insectoids poured in, their Lord leading the charge.
A towering figure, humanoid in form, yet grotesquely alien. Its chitinous armor gleamed under the laboratory's lights, and its four arms twitched, brimming with lethal energy.
The Insectoid Lord sneered.
"Looks like this is the end for you, human."
Leo… laughed.
"And for you, insect."
A Star Dies… and is Reborn.
The Star Core detonated.
The world turned white.
BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
The entire Laboratory, the invading Insectoid horde, the Artifacts—everything was consumed in a blinding supernova of energy.
And in that explosion…
Leo's Rebirth – A Summoner's New Beginning
Leo died.
His second life ended with a bang.
'It hurts more than the truck,' he thought, feeling a split second of excruciating pain before everything faded to black.
[Pain Resistance Acquisition Successful.]
The pain was there—but it dulled quickly.
'I guess everything went well; I was just the unlucky bastard who stood a tile away from the Tome's range. It's always like this… God, gimme some luck.'
[Extra Skill: Lucky Encounter Acquired.]
"Wait, what?"
His mind, still functioning in the void, processed everything slowly.
'What happened to the artifacts? Did I succeed?'
[Energy from the Artifacts absorbed. Processing into skill…]
A strange sensation—power flooding into him—yet he remained formless.
'So… I really died like a hero, huh?'
But… had it all been worth it?
He sacrificed himself, becoming a martyr, but…
'What did I even gain from this? I was okay being a Summoner.'
[Unique Skill Acquisition: Starborn Summoner.]
That title resonated within him as if engraved into his very being.
'If I had survived, I'm pretty sure Grand Warden would've made me his heir.'
[Unique Skill: Grand Warden Acquired.]
The thought felt bitter—a reality he could have had, now forever out of reach.
Then another realization hit.
'Why… why can I still think? I can't feel my body.'
[Reconstructing Body using Elixir and Magicules…]
[Physical Damage Resistance Acquisition Successful.]
[Thermal Fluctuation Resistance Acquisition Successful.]
Magicules? Magicules. That word felt foreign, yet familiar.
Maybe it was the energy from the Star Core?
[Intrinsic Skill: Star Core Acquired.]
An alien power stirred inside him, something far beyond his previous understanding of magic.
[A new species has been detected: Elixi Demon/Elexiroid.]
His thoughts halted.
"A new species?!"
[Intrinsic Skill: Immortality Acquired.]
[Intrinsic Skill: High-Speed Regeneration Acquired.]
[Intrinsic Skill: Elemental Affinity Acquired.]
[Intrinsic Skill: Magic Resistance Acquired.]
His entire existence was being reformed—not just reincarnated but rebuilt from the ground up.
And then—
Light.
The warmth of the sun pierced through his eyelids.
Leo's eyes snapped open.
For a moment, he lay there, staring up at the sky, watching the sun at its zenith, its golden rays filtering through a dense green canopy.
A gentle breeze rustled the leaves—the sound too vivid, too real.
Instinct took over.
"!"
He jumped up, his heart pounding, his hands running over his body.
He wasn't a floating consciousness anymore.
He was alive.
"Oh, fuck—I'm alive! Grand Warden, I love you, old man. Your spell saved me!"
He nearly laughed—the cold voice, the eerie void, the strange messages—it had to be his imagination, right?
But… his body felt different.
Stronger. Tougher.
There was a constant power surging within him, similar to the Rage Gem's effect—except this wasn't a temporary spell buff.
It was passive. Permanent.
"What… the hell happened to me?"
He clenched his fists, feeling the raw energy coursing through his veins—this was no ordinary magic.
His muscles, his senses, even his mind—everything felt sharper, enhanced.
Then another thought hit.
"Wait… where the hell am I?"
He looked around—the forest was unfamiliar, stretching endlessly in all directions.
"Was the Empire destroyed? No—if it was, I'd be dead for good. But if it's still standing, then… where am I?"
His stomach twisted.
"Did Grand Warden teleport me somewhere? Or… did I fall into a rift like those Insectoids?"
A chill ran down Leo's spine.
This situation was too familiar, and that wasn't a good thing.
But panic wouldn't help.
'I wasn't an elite mage for nothing back in the Clash Empire. Get it together.'
Taking a deep breath, he pushed down the creeping unease and focused his senses outward—a basic survival technique he learned as a summoner.
[Skill: Mana Sense Acquired.]
"What the fuck?"
It was as if a veil had been lifted—his perception expanded, stretching far beyond anything he'd known in his previous life. Every tree, creature, and ripple of energy painted a vivid picture in his mind.
There were multiple presences around him.
Some were faint, mere flickers of life. Others are larger and stronger.
'No immediate threats. At least they're not Insectoids.'
Still, he had no intention of testing his luck. Stealth and survival first, fight later.
He turned toward the strongest but most stable presence, something deep within his instincts urging him in that direction.
But fate had other plans.
The air cracked.
Leo's breath hitched as he felt it before he saw it—a sensation too similar to the dimensional rifts the Insectoids used to invade.
His entire body tensed.
This one was smaller, far less chaotic, but his instincts screamed at him to be wary.
Without thinking, a red aura flared around him, followed by a golden glow.
It was raw energy, instinctively pulled from within him—merging into an angelic, otherworldly radiance.
And then—someone fell from the rift.
A human-like figure.
A girl.
Leo barely hesitated.
His body moved before his mind could process—he bent his knees, energy instinctively gathering beneath his feet—
And leaped.
[Skill: High-Speed Movement Acquired.]
It was effortless. No chant, no incantation, just pure action.
As if this power had always been his.
The girl was unconscious, tumbling helplessly through the air.
Leo reached out—
And caught her.
His descent was smooth, landing as lightly as if he had jumped off a single step.
For a moment, he just stared at her.
She looked… normal.
Yet something about her felt different—a strange energy lingered around her like she didn't belong to this world.
Just like him.
"Well…" Leo exhaled, shifting her slightly to get a better grip. "That was unexpected."
And for the first time since arriving in this world, he had more questions than answers.
(???)
The wind howled.
One moment, she had been standing on the sidewalk, watching the city lights flicker in the distance—and the next, the world turned upside down.
A violent gust of wind, stronger than any storm she had ever felt, ripped her off her feet.
It wasn't normal. It wasn't just the wind; it was as if reality itself collapsed around, and her stomach twisted as gravity vanished.
She was falling.
The city was gone. The concrete, the cars, the familiar streets—all of it had disappeared.
Instead, the sky above her was vast and endless, dyed in hues of blue and gold. Below, a dense green forest stretched endlessly, its massive trees looking impossibly small from this height.
Her breath hitched.
Am I dreaming?
It didn't feel like a dream. The rush of wind against her skin, the weightlessness in her stomach, the sheer terror gripping her chest—it was all too real, she tried to scream, but the wind stole her voice.
I'm going to die—
Then, something moved.
A golden streak shot up from the ground, cutting through the sky with impossible speed, before she could even process what was happening, arms wrapped around her.
Warm. Steady. Strong.
Her fall stopped instantly.
Instead of crashing into the ground, she was caught, held securely against a body that felt unnaturally stable in midair, her heart pounded as she instinctively clutched onto her savior, her mind still reeling from the shock.
Slowly, hesitantly, she looked up—
—and met golden eyes.
She froze.
The person holding her… wasn't normal.
A young man, red-haired and radiant, his entire body faintly glowing with an aura that looked almost… angelic. The golden energy around him flickered like flames, mixing with streaks of red, making him look more like an Angel than a human.
Her breath hitched again.
For just a moment, she forgot about the fall, the fear, the impossible circumstances.
For just a second—her heart skipped a beat.
But the moment passed, and her survival instincts snapped back into place.
This wasn't normal. None of this was normal.
The last thing she remembered was standing in the city—how the hell had she ended up falling through the sky into a literal fantasy landscape?
Her body tensed.
Her mind raced, trying to make sense of the situation. Was she hallucinating? Dead? Kidnapped? In a coma?
She forced herself to push down the panic and focus on the most immediate concern—the man holding her.
His grip was firm but not crushing. He had caught her effortlessly as if gravity meant nothing to him. His golden eyes held no hostility, only mild surprise—but that didn't mean she could trust him.
Who was he?
More importantly—where the hell was she?
Steadying her voice, she locked eyes with him and demanded,
"Who are you? And what just happened?"
Her words came out sharper than she intended, but she didn't care. Right now, she needed answers.
(Leo)
"Who are you? And what just happened?"
Leo raised an eyebrow.
The girl was undeniably beautiful, with black hair and sharp, intelligent eyes. Her expression wasn't one of gratitude.
She looked wary, and guarded, like someone who had seen the harshness of the world and learned not to trust too easily
A small smirk tugged at Leo's lips. She's got an attitude for someone who was just saved.
Still, he couldn't blame her. If their roles were reversed, he'd be just as suspicious.
Gently lowering her to the ground. As soon as her feet touched the earth, she instinctively took a step back, keeping a careful distance between them.
"Lady, no need to panic, "Leo said, raising his hands in mock surrender. "The thing is, I also just arrived in this place the same way as you. So, it would be good if we helped each other. Are you from Earth?"
Her brow furrowed.
"What do you mean? Isn't this Earth?"
"No, Earth didn't have magic. But this place?" He gestured around them. "It definitely does."
Hinata's confusion deepened, but then realization struck.
Her posture stiffened. Her fingers curled slightly was smart; he could see her mind racing.
She's quick.
"So, you're also from Earth?" she asked.
Leo nodded. "Yeah, but I didn't come from the same Earth as you, I think. You wouldn't happen to know about a little game called Clash of Clans, would you?"
Hinata gave him a blank stare.
"What?"
"That answers my question."
A small sigh escaped him. Of course, I had to be the one isekai'd twice.
Just as Hinata was about to press further-
A growl rumbled through the forest, and Leo instantly turned on instinct, body tense.
From the shadows of the trees, several monsters emerged, they were like hyenas, but their bodies were larger and more muscular. Sharp fangs glistened with saliva, and their red eyes glowed menacingly.
Leo clicked his tongue.
"Ugh. Not even five minutes, and we're already in danger."
Hinata stiffened.
"Those are... monsters?"
Leo cracked his knuckles, stepping forward. "Yep. And I'll deal with them"
The hyenas lunged, and Leo raised his hand.
A crackling bolt of lightning materialized, striking the beast dead in the skull. Its body convulsed violently, spasms rattling its frame before it collapsed, smoke curling from its scorched fur.
The second hyena was faster. It leaped and Leo barely glanced at it before flicking his wrist.
A fireball erupted in midair, roaring to life with blinding heat. It smashed into the monster mid-jump, engulfing it in flames. When the fire faded, there was nothing left but ash.
The last wolf hesitated, for a brief moment, it locked eyes with Leo.
Then—it ran.
Leo exhaled sharply.
"Not happening,"
The ground beneath it rumbled and a jagged spear of earth shot up from the ground, impaling the fleeing beast through the chest. It let out a final, strangled yelp before its body went limp.
Silence fell.
Leo rolled his shoulders, glancing at his palm.
"Damn. That was smooth," he muttered, flexing his fingers. "And I didn't even need to chant."
A sharp gasp made him turn.
Hinata was staring at him, wide-eyed, he raised an eyebrow. "What?"
She blinked rapidly, her brain clearly struggling to catch up.
"You… you just summoned lightning, fire, and controlled earth," she said, almost accusingly.
Leo smirked. "Yeah. And?"
Hinata's mouth opened—then closed.
That wasn't normal. That wasn't possible.
Magic didn"t exist in her world. Yet here he was, summoning lightning, fire, and earth with a flick of his wrist like it was nothing.
Where the hell was she?
Leo watched as her expression shifted between disbelief and growing realization. She was smart. It wouldn't take her long to understand what this meant.
"Come on," he said, turning toward the trees. "Standing here won't get us anywhere."
She hesitated but quickly followed.
The forest was vast, its trees towering high above them, the sunlight filtering through the thick canopy in streaks of gold. The air smelled fresh, too fresh. Not like the pollution-filled city she had just been in. The ground beneath her feet was soft, the distant calls of unfamiliar creatures echoing through the woods.
This wasn't a dream or a hallucination.
This was real.
And this guy…
She glanced at him.
His crimson hair glowed under the sunlight, his golden eyes sharp and focused as he walked ahead, effortlessly leading the way like he already knew this place.
Who was he?
More importantly—what was he? She could say something about him was weird, but not that he looked human, from the outside at least.
Taking a deep breath, she clenched her fists and kept walking, whatever had happened to her, whatever this place was—she was going to find out.
After what felt like hours of walking, Hinata finally slowed down, Leo noticed immediately. Her steps were dragging, her breath coming out a little heavier.
"Hey," he called out, glancing back at her. "You okay?"
Hinata straightened, obviously trying to play it off. "I'm fine."
Leo gave a skeptical look, she wasn't fine.
They had been walking for a while, and despite her endurance, she was still human—or at least, she didn't seem to have the same level of enhancements he had.
With a sigh, he scanned the surroundings. A clearing up ahead. A stream ran through it, the sound of flowing water echoing through the trees.
"Perfect," Leo muttered before turning back to her. "We're stopping here."
Hinata looked like she wanted to argue, but her body clearly welcomed the decision. With a small nod, she followed as Leo led the way into the clearing, he walked toward the center, placing a hand on the ground.
With a single thought—the earth rumbled.
The soil beneath them rose and shaped itself, forming walls, a roof, and even proper ventilation. Within seconds, a small but sturdy house stood before them.
Hinata stared, dumbfounded.
Leo didn't stop there.
A flick of his wrist—stone smoothed out into a polished floor.
A wave of his hand—wooden furniture assembled itself, the material drawn from the nearby trees.
A snap of his fingers—fire sparked in the hearth, casting a warm glow inside.
Within minutes, the clearing that had been nothing but grass and trees was now a temporary but well-furnished home.
Leo dusted off his hands. "There. That should do for now."
Hinata was still silent, then she suddenly said, "You're insane."
Leo blinked. "What?"
