Chapter 26: Lowest grade
Weeks later.
The ground beneath the earth rumbled, shook and trembled. The weather was already so cool on a certain purple planet which housed an entire space station, seemingly obvious for the take-off of so many spacecraft.
Most of the cultivators had already gone to the Astral combat Academy, while some had been left behind and the only reason they are arriving just now is due to the number of days it took a low grade spacecraft to reach the main zone and to also return.
The reward for the tower of fifths is that only the top ten would be going to the Astral combat Academy, however it changed when they realized the number of losses incurred by the obstacles or the vile creatures that dwelt within each floor.
There were so many grievous injuries and a lot of cultivators died in the trial. Then, they came to a conclusion and decided to let the survivors attend the Astral Combat Academy as a reward, instead of the previous reward that was supposed to be for only the Top Ten!
This time, Mu Shen was picked.
It was strange that as the top one, he was actually following the last batch instead of following the first.
The Main Zone is right at the very center of Wushuang's universe which connects all planets, weaves and flow zones together. This is also where activities bustle wildly the most.
The Main Zone is not like the Upper Realm, the Middle Realm and the Lower Realm. The Main Zone was so vast, that it encompasses trillions and billions of populations, planets, buildings and so on.
Mu Shen was excited about the Main Zone.
'Si Cheng might be there. Other cultivators like Qiu Puyu might also be there…'
Mu Shen entered the spacecraft. The space was very small, and could contain at most four or five persons.
Mu Shen was the first to climb aboard so he explored the insides. He saw the piloting cabin, he also saw the numerous buttons and panel control.
Then, right below it he saw: Collapsible Spacecraft — Lowest grade.
Mu Shen's face turned into a frown.
"These people cannot just afford something more convenient. Lowest grade? Psh, how long are we going to ride in space?"
Mu Shen opened an IV lock and brought out several documents and papers.
"Licensing, internship, partnership agreement with Silos Spacecraft and architects…"
Mu Shen scanned through the documents. His expression turned bored.
"Documents… papers… No manuals? This person only stores junk."
He replaced the papers into the IV lock and closed the lid. And then, he saw the Manuals he had been searching for right upon the pilot's chair.
He grabbed it and checked for important details.
"Chapter 123— page 2577, line 4 and 5: Gradient grade collapsible spacecraft. Distance of 80 kilometers per hour."
Mu Shen's face was pale. "My current speed as a Sentinel can cross 400 kilometers per hour. What the actual fuck?"
Mu Shen dropped the manual and left the spaceship. However, he bumped into someone. When he looked, he was pleasantly surprised.
"Zhao Ran?"
The pretty lady stared at Mu Shen. "You're actually one of the last batches to be dispatched to the Main Zone, huh?"
Mu Shen smiled brightly and answered. "As you can see."
Zhao Ran immediately scoffed. "So much for being the number one. Indeed, the first shall be the last."
Mu Shen's eyes became cold and he pierced those icy glaciers into Zhao Ran. The girl was suddenly terrified because Mu Shen had gotten even stronger for some reason.
His domain relm had not changed from a Sentinel, however he had already improved somewhat.
"Indeed, the first shall be the last and the last will be the first." Mu Shen immediately backed away from the spacecraft.
Zhao Ran was surprised.
'Is he not coming along? Duhh, why do I bother? He can get lost if he wants to."
The next minute, the collapsible spacecraft was lifted off the ground and disappeared into outer space as Mu Shen watched.
As soon as the spacecraft was gone, Mu Shen ducked towards the space station and vanished. He secretly observed the ongoing events and knows when any spacecraft ascends or descends.
Then, his eyes widened, excitement suddenly appearing in those crystalline pupils.
On the body surface of a particular Spacecraft, there was a boldly scribbled, Eon grade spacecraft.
Eon grades should be faster.
In this particular space traveling station, any spacecraft that is seen landing or ascending are either going over to the Main Zone or coming from the Main Zone.
The Void suddenly distorted and he appeared before the Eon grade Spacecraft in an instant.
Mu Shen glared at the security. He was an explorer so Mu Shen did not act rashly.
He immediately activated his four shadows incarnation and divided himself into two. One body brazenly attacked the explorer while the main body entered the spacecraft.
Mu Shen breathed in and out and watched his incarnation beheaded by two firmament swords.
Mu Shen's throat ran dry.
This person was an absolute expert. Luckily, he had not decided to attack directly.
The beheaded incarnation body vanished into tiny light particles. The explorer was surprised and all of a sudden, he was suspicious.
As a cultivator, the slightest anomaly can arouse suspicion so he immediately entered the Spacecraft to check if someone had intruded or not.
Mu Shen had expected the outcome so he was already prepared. His presence was concealed, while he only became an inanimate shadow.
And as usual, the man was blinded. He could not feel Mu Shen's presence nor see him in person.
And then, he assumed that everything was normal.
