Chapter 28: Blackbeard Pirates
The spacecraft fuel level had fallen below 30 cm and once that happens, the vessel would not be able to move unless under certain circumstances where—
The Spacecraft is moved by an even bigger spacecraft and vice versa. Mu Shen's face was grave. His expression is dark. Everyone was panicking due to the low altitude in the spacecraft but the pilot was there to assure them.
"Let's all be calm. We encountered a massive cyclops on the way and could not entirely avoid its gargantuan body, so we were slammed on the fuel tank and now, without fuel, most of the things here wouldn't function properly."
Eyes widened. Faces were pale and people trembled.
"But the good news is that help is on the way. It should arrive in about seven to eight hours since it is a Black hole grade, the fastest spacecraft in Silos."
Everyone calmed.
Mu Shen was surprised that the pilot's words worked like magic, calming the people; however , if the spacecraft would be arriving in seven to eight hours, how long would the power supply of the spacecraft last?
The cultivation world is already so chilling and threatening that one mistake could lead to the loss of many lives. And also, a Melder, Sentinel or a Seeker cannot survive in space. Only explorers could since their domain relm came with the instincts and survival-ability to explore space.
So technically, Mu Shen would without doubt die if this Spacecraft loses power. Without the power supply, there would be no conservation of oxygen, there would be no anti-gravity effects or heat regulation which means that they would be so exposed that it was bad.
In the next eight hours, no spacecraft had arrived and panic rose. The pilot made frantic calls, issued for emergency warranty, however in the next twenty four hours, no lines were able to connect through because the power supply was running thin.
Mu Shen rose to his feet and peered out of the glass visor that was the window. All that he saw was the incomprehensible expanse of space… drifting, sweeping and random. The motion of space was complicated.
Just as the thought of hopelessness aroused, the Spacecraft suddenly shook. At that moment, everyone took it as if the help that they've been calling for so long had arrived.
However when the pilot stepped forward to look, his face immediately paled.
Everyone's faces paled alongside.
Blackbeard Pirates.
"Listen up passengers from this already damaged spacecraft, seeing the condition of your cabin you are all well aware that everyone of you is under our mercy. So step out with your hands up in the air."
Mu Shen glared at the pilot who seemed to be trembling, the man was merely a Seeker which surprised Mu Shen, and the rest of them had a lower domain relm.
Mu Shen took the first step forward and his feet landed into another spacecraft. This one was much bigger and massive than the Eon grade spacecraft and it got Mu Shen curious.
Excitedly, he asked:
"Is this Black hole grade spacecraft?"
The man in front of him wielded a Saber, and he had an air of arrogance around him.
"Kneel!" He commanded, not bothering with the question that Mu Shen had asked.
By now, everyone had completely boarded the Pirates spacecraft while the already damaged one lost its last bit of power which caused its rudimentary circuits to dim.
Mu Shen scanned around him and observed the pirates. The one with the highest domain relm is only a Melder so Mu Shen came to a conclusion—
These pirates could be seen as one of the smallest convoys created and left to explore space themselves. Their main goal is to simply recruit more members into the pirate crew. So, the main Pirates with much formidable powerhouses must have taken another route, leaving these weak and pathetic ones behind.
Mu Shen did not deliberately underestimate them, but at least they were not the most formidable crew.
The man was suddenly furious that Mu Shen had not made any move or tried to kneel down as he had asked.
"Do not become rebellious to us who saved you."
Mu Shen was ecstatic. "Correct! We won't be rebellious. However, do not overstep your boundaries."
It was a simple warning. Warnings sealed together with a chilling promise.
The man's patience was running thin and he unsheathed his Saber and pointed it at Mu Shen.
And all of a sudden, Mu Shen's eyes grew cold and he pointed a finger out.
"Finger Dao!"
Then suddenly, three powerful fingers rotated on mid air and slammed down, creating ripples through the air.
The man's Saber flashed and then collided upon the Finger Dao, however the man was pushed back by three steps as his hands turned numb.
'What the—'
His brows furrowed and his hands held the Saber which slashed diagonally, performing the double slash: partial movement and then, the void trembled.
From the Finger Dao, Mu Shen switched to the Bleeding sky and space suddenly rippled causing the man's pupils to shrink and he retreated.
He stared at Mu Shen in disbelief.
