Anime Collector: Starting With the Malevolent Shrine

"Huh? Is it this late already? I should head back to help at the store. See you tomorrow." Rizu noticed the amber twilight streaming in through the windows.

The sunset painted the sky in crimson clouds, clearly visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

The breathtaking view from the luxury apartment filled her with longing. Her improved humanities grades only added to her cheerful mood.

But time was up — she couldn't keep lounging around at the Nakano house.

'This is quite troublesome.'

Daiki noticed Miku's firm grip on his arm.

Haruno, her eyes dark and unreadable, quickly grasped the situation. If Daiki stayed over at the Nakanos', she would lose her chance. Her plans to become a Jujutsu Sorcerer would be derailed.

She needed to separate Miku from him, at least until evening when he needed free time.

"Ogata-san, it's getting late. Why don't you stay over? It would be dangerous if you encountered a Grade 3 Curse or Evil Spirit on your way home." Ichika suggested, her eyes shifting meaningfully.

"Yeah, it's not safe outside right now." Nino, catching Ichika's meaning, joined in persuading her.

Even the usually indifferent Itsuki agreed that staying would be wise.

Having survived a Parasite attack herself, she understood the risks. Though they hadn't seen any Parasites in the past two days, news reports were frequent. The chance of Rizu encountering monsters on her way back was significant.

Miku's brows furrowed, but she couldn't deny her sisters' logic. Though the girl was interrupting their time together, safety came first.

"Daiki-kun should stay over too. Ogata-san can stay with Miku. I'll sleep in Ichika's room tonight and give my room to Daiki-kun." Nino suggested quickly.

"No!" Miku's objection was firm.

Everyone tensed, worried she would reject the entire proposal.

"Nino and Ichika can share Nino's room. I'll stay with Ogata-san in Ichika's room, and my room will be for Daiki-kun."

The others relaxed with relief. What they'd feared would be resistance turned out to be just a simple room rearrangement.

The sleeping arrangements were settled, leaving Rizu no room to refuse.

Miku led Daiki to her room for the second time. Unlike her previous shyness, she seemed notably more at ease.

"Daiki-kun, it hurts there!" The soft words echoed through the room.

Rizu and Yotsuba's actions still made her anxious.

"Should I use the Reverse Cursed Technique to heal it?" Daiki asked, raising his eyebrows.

Miku didn't answer, only lowered her head.

Just as she leaned closer to him, about to take things further—

Bang bang bang bang bang bang

Urgent knocking interrupted them.

Miku took a shaky breath and stomped to the door.

"Miku, Ogata-san is too small for any of our clothes. We're shopping online for her, and thought about getting something for Daiki-kun too, but we're not sure about his size. Could you help?"

Miku, suppressing her frustration, remained silent.

She had to admit — his clothing size was something she should know.

After all, if she as his girlfriend didn't know, who would? Nino?

"There are lots of options online. Take your time choosing." Nino said with persuasive charm.

Miku raised her eyebrows, touched by her sister's thoughtfulness.

Perhaps she had misjudged her. Maybe Nino's previous actions were truly unintentional.

"Mm!"

"Oh right, Daiki-kun, my Japanese literature grades have improved significantly. Could you explain the material again, just normally? I want to see if I can keep up with the teacher's pace in class now. If I can, I won't need to trouble you anymore." Nino held up a test paper, her words reassuring Miku.

If only Yotsuba had Nino's consideration!

"Then you two take your time. I'll go pick out clothes for Daiki-kun." Miku said with a gentle smile — one that hadn't appeared in a while.

After she went downstairs, Nino eased the door shut, leaving it slightly ajar to avoid alerting her sister.

"Daiki-kun, were you comfortable there with Miku? If I hadn't interrupted, would you have continued?" She approached him, her face full of reproach.

He already had her, yet he got involved with Ichika, and now Miku too.

Was Daiki's affection spread too thin?

Without waiting for his response, Nino settled onto his lap. Her slender arms encircled his neck as she caressed his cheek.

Suddenly, an idea struck her.

She jumped up and searched the room, finding headphones identical to her sister's in the closet. She grabbed a pair of black tights and put on the headphones.

In an instant, Nino had transformed completely into "Miku".

"Daiki-kun!" Her shy, introverted tone perfectly mimicked her sister's.

Seeing the shock in Daiki's eyes, Nino's lips curved into a smile.

She whispered in his ear, "From now on, whenever Daiki-kun is with Miku, you'll be thinking of me instead!"

Her words made even Daiki's eyes widen.

The room fell into silence.

Meanwhile, Miku remained oblivious, discussing clothes shopping with Itsuki.

Yotsuba kept examining her test paper with joy, determined to impress her teacher when she returned to Sōbu High.

Rizu followed along with the browsing session in a daze, surrounded by everyone. Having been alone for so long, the warmth of company felt refreshingly pleasant.

Yukino and Haruno watched quietly, mentally planning when to message Daiki about tutoring.

Ichika glanced up from her online shopping toward Miku's room. Noticing the door wasn't fully closed, she breathed a small sigh of relief.

At that very moment...

At the Jujutsu Headquarters — the supreme authority of the Jujutsu World — a meeting was in session.

The Jujutsu Inspector General, commander of all Jujutsu Sorcerers, led a discussion with other high-ranking officials.

"We must sentence Daiki Tsukasa to public execution! He consumed Sukuna's Finger and mastered the King of Curses' Technique and Domain. Who knows when he might awaken? It would be catastrophic!"

The aging Inspector General declared from behind his screen, a smile playing on his lips.
