Chapter 98: Chapter 98 ⟴ The Jujutsu Headquarters
To them, it was as simple as crushing an ant.
The Jujutsu Headquarters viewed everyone — whether Special-Grade forces or ordinary ones — as mere commoners. Even the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerers were just individuals in their eyes.
Yet the Headquarters' leadership commanded the entire Jujutsu World!
All Sorcerers must obey their orders without question. The position of Jujutsu Inspector General carried immense weight — requiring recommendations from the Three Great Jujutsu Families and the Prime Minister's official appointment.
The Inspector General wielded nearly limitless authority, remaining unfazed even when confronting Special-Grade Sorcerers.
With a single command, they could brand anyone a Curse User and mobilize the entire Jujutsu World to eliminate them.
"But he's a Special-Grade who controls Sukuna's Domain, isn't he..." A high-ranking official voiced his concern.
Even the Headquarters could only issue expulsion orders against Satoru Gojo, the current strongest sorcerer, due to his overwhelming power.
This Sorcerer, Daiki Tsukasa, possessed the King of Curses' Domain. There was no guarantee he wouldn't become the next Satoru. One wrong move could lead to dire consequences.
The Zen'in family's secret investigation revealed something more troubling — he wasn't even a true Sorcerer. His parents had no connection to the Jujutsu World, meaning he might act without any traditional restraints.
"That's precisely why we can't let him go! The Public Safety Department's Supernatural Disaster Countermeasures Division reports that Special-Grade Curse User Suguru Getō already possesses more than a quarter of Sukuna's fingers. If Getō and Tsukasa join forces to consume Sukuna's fingers, Tsukasa's power will grow exponentially! We must eliminate this vessel before they meet — the Jujutsu World's safety depends on it!"
{T/N: Supernatural Disaster Countermeasures Division is from an manga/anime called Ga-Rei}
"We can't risk another disaster like the Bureau of Onmyō incident — where unknown Onmyōji activated forbidden techniques, destabilizing Spiritual Veins everywhere. The Magano seals have already weakened, with some areas showing Rank A Impurities. Our Jujutsu World still bears those consequences."
{T/N: The Ranks go from D to S}
A cold smile crossed the Inspector General's face. The Onmyōji's failure had brought shame to the Bureau of Onmyō. He wouldn't allow such a mistake under his watch. Sacrificing a few Sorcerers to prevent this threat was a small price to pay.
The other Jujutsu World leaders observing from behind their screens nodded in agreement.
"Has Getō made contact with Tsukasa yet?"
No one knew exactly how many Cursed Spirits Suguru controlled, nor how powerful this Manipulator Curse User might become.
"Probably not." The Jujutsu World leader replied hesitantly.
In truth, he had no way to know for certain.
Tracking them was nearly impossible — both were Special-Grade fighters whose mere Cursed Energy output required Grade 1 Sorcerers to counter. While they could gather basic intelligence, close surveillance was far too dangerous.
Furthermore, Getō's whereabouts remained unpredictable — they could only make rough estimates of his movements. Based on his known return time, he likely hadn't had the opportunity.
"That's good." The Inspector General dismissed these details with casual indifference, confident in their inevitable victory.
The current strongest Sorcerer, Satoru Gojo, was no mere figurehead. Though he occasionally disobeyed orders, his Gojo family ties still bound him.
What could Satoru do, even if he despised the Inspector General? The position was untouchable!
Not even the mightiest in the Jujutsu World dared to challenge him openly. After all, he had both the Prime Minister's support and the entire Public Safety Department at his command!
Satoru's claim to being "the strongest" only held true within the Jujutsu World. Beyond those bounds, his victory wasn't guaranteed.
"In that case, sentence Daiki Tsukasa to public execution! Carry it out immediately!"
The Jujutsu World's leadership pronounced their verdict.

Meanwhile, at another location.
The sunset bathed the luxury apartment's living room in golden light.
Itsuki and the others were busy ordering clothes for Rizu and Daiki.
Haruno and Yukino headed to the open kitchen to cook instead of joining them. Rizu followed to help prepare udon.
"Nino is really working hard! She could easily improve her grades with Daiki-kun's ability, but she wants to improve through her own efforts." Holding the test papers, Yotsuba sighed wistfully when she noticed Nino's absence.
Miku clenched her small fist.
"Isn't that normal?" She said disapprovingly, "Daiki-kun's ability only helps with basics — he can't tutor us forever. We should learn from Nino!"
Thinking of the embarrassing tutoring process, Itsuki's face flushed red.
If she hadn't felt discouraged by others' rapid improvement, she wouldn't have been tempted to copy Yotsuba's methods of improving grades.
She still firmly believed that grades should be earned through one's own efforts. Daiki's ability was just a temporary aid, not a permanent solution.
In this regard, Itsuki truly admired Nino. While others reveled in effortless gains, her sister had broken free from these false illusions to improve her grades through genuine effort.
Ichika, sitting in the corner, merely smirked at these words.
After all, Nino had already received private tutoring for a full half hour. She couldn't believe her sister was suddenly the hardworking type.
"Nino, Daiki-kun, dinner time! There's plenty of time tonight for studying." Yotsuba sat up and called toward the second-floor room.
"Coming!" Came Nino's voice, followed by the sound of shuffling test papers.
Miku and the others paid no attention as they rose to set the table.
Nino held her breath, relaxing only after hearing the living room noise fade.
"Daiki-kun, tonight Miku will keep you company again." Nino said in a gentle voice, batting her beautiful eyes as she removed her earphones.
After receiving Reverse Technique treatment, she walked out appearing perfectly normal.
She carefully hid the clothes and earphones in a discrete corner — she'd need them again tonight.
Yukino discreetly sent a message on her phone while no one was looking, then returned to finish cooking in the open kitchen.
Having completed her work, Haruno sprawled on the sofa, contemplating which time would be free from interruptions.
They finished dinner, each lost in their own thoughts.
As arranged, Daiki stayed in Miku's room while Miku and Rizu retired to Ichika's room.
When Ichika walked to Nino's room, both maintained a knowing silence.
