Chapter 375: Inferon Turned Into a Problem.
Liline appeared near the side gate, hands behind her back.
"The Vornis unit is ready, Lady Liora."
She gave a short nod and stepped aside.
The arena wall shifted open, revealing a new path.
Liora looked across the battlefield toward Raiven.
"Are you alright if I use two beasts?"
Raiven gave a smirk, clearly amused.
"Sure, sure. Use whatever you want."
He lifted his hand slightly.
"I want to see your power. All of it."
Liora gave a small smile.
"Then don't regret it."
From the second gate, Vornis stepped into the arena.
Liora didn't need to command it.
Vornis moved on its own and stood beside Inferon.
Inferon glanced sideways and frowned.
Liora looked at both of them.
"Inferon, this will be your partner for now."
Inferon didn't respond at first.
Then it growled—low and short.
Vornis gave no reaction.
It simply positioned itself properly and waited.
Raiven blinked.
He narrowed his eyes at the second beast.
"That's a Vornis…? Why would you use an S-Rank Sovereign in a battle like this?"
"I brought an SS-Rank Sovereign. Are you holding back?"
Liora shook her head, smirking slightly.
"You'll understand later."
Raiven crossed his arms.
"I hope this isn't an insult."
Liora's eyes didn't change.
"You'll find out soon enough. Just focus."
Raiven gritted his teeth.
"Dreadmaw. Get ready. Two-on-one."
Dreadmaw growled, flames building across its back.
Liora then raised her hand.
"Inferon. Vornis. Fuse."
Inferon turned its head fast, surprised.
Even it didn't expect the command.
Raiven blinked, eyes narrowing.
"…Wait, fuse?"
Before he could react further, Vornis moved.
Its body shifted, joints unlocking and reshaping.
In seconds, it leapt onto Inferon's back and began breaking apart.
A solar rail cannon formed down Inferon's spine.
With anchoring plates clamping onto its shoulders and back legs.
Thin steel cables snaked up toward Inferon's head.
Inferon tensed, trying to move.
Liora's voice cut in.
"Hold still. You'll receive the command interface."
The cables connected, sending information directly into Inferon's neural pathways.
Inferon growled low, twitching once.
But didn't resist further.
It stood still.
And then it stopped shaking.
The cannon locked in place.
Its eyes burned brighter.
Raiven took a step back.
"You can use it like that?"
Liora answered without looking at him.
"Of course. Vornis is a steel war beast engineered to adapt."
"It can become weapons. Suits. Enhancements."
Liora then lowered her hand.
"Now... let's finish this."
"Inferon. Blast him apart."
Inferon stepped forward.
The cannon on its back glowed brighter, shifting from orange to pure white.
The solar heat radiating off its body warped the air around it.
Sparks ignited along the cannon's rails.
The ground under Inferon blackened and cracked.
Raiven's eyes widened.
"Dreadmaw. Elemental Overload. Fire mode. Now!"
Dreadmaw roared, its magma veins flaring wide.
Its entire body lit up as it activated Elemental Overload, boosting its flame element.
"Volcanic Pulse. Now!"
Dreadmaw stomped one claw into the ground.
A fiery pulse erupted outward, shaking the battlefield, trying to destabilize Inferon's stance.
The arena cracked beneath the pressure.
Molten flame surged in all directions as Dreadmaw pushed its limit.
Inferon stood still.
Then fired.
The cannon discharged with a deep, focused hum.
No explosion.
Just an overwhelming beam of concentrated solar flame.
The beam shot through the Volcanic Pulse, melting it down on contact.
"What—"
Raiven muttered.
The beam hit Dreadmaw square in the chest.
There was no time to dodge.
The impact blasted through its obsidian armor.
Magma and flame burst outward, but it wasn't enough.
Dreadmaw was thrown off its feet, sent flying across the arena.
It crashed into the far wall with a deafening slam.
Steam hissed off its body.
The molten glow inside its veins flickered, then faded.
It didn't get back up.
Raiven stared, stunned.
"Dreadmaw…?"
Dreadmaw growled weakly in his mind.
"I… I can't move."
Raiven clenched his fist, eyes locked on Liora.
She hadn't even flinched.
She stood there calmly as Inferon's cannon cooled down.
From the stands, the patriarchswere speechless.
Sylvaine leaned forward slightly.
"That was coordinated fusion… controlled by a single tamer."
Vandred frowned.
"Tch."
He didn't say anything more.
Liora gave one last look toward Raiven, then spoke quietly.
"Don't underestimate what you don't understand."
Raiven took a slow breath.
He nodded once.
"…Understood."
Liora turned back toward her side of the arena.
Inferon stood proudly.
Vornis was now detaching and returning to its standard form.
The battle was over.
---
Raiven walked back toward his family.
He stopped beside Vandred, giving a short nod.
Across from them, Loreia only smiled as he observed the battle.
She turned back toward them, bowing down a bit.
"So, how was it, dear Patriarchs?"
Her tone carried a slight smile.
"Was Luxoria Castle's power enough for you?"
Sylvaine gave a small nod.
"It was convincing."
Vandred grunted, crossing his arms.
"I never expected Vornis could be used that way."
Loreia tilted her head.
"Of course it can. Vornis is no longer a normal beast."
"It's now classified as a full steel-type war beast."
"One of its key functions is its morph-type system."
Vandred nodded slowly.
"I see. That makes me want one for myself."
Raiven stepped in.
"I already own four."
"If possible, I'd like to give the other three to my father and brothers."
Loreia smirked beneath the mask.
"Of course you can."
"We'll assist in breaking the current bond and rebinding them properly."
She paused.
"Naturally, it comes with a price."
Vandred didn't flinch.
"What about an SS-Rank Sovereign beast?"
He looked her directly in the eyes.
"Can your castle handle bonding and stabilization?"
Loreia gave a short nod.
"Absolutely."
"We can bind any SS-Rank Sovereign-tier beast to any designated contractor."
Her gaze moved to the three Valefor brothers.
"Just tell me which son will be the one to get a contract?"
Caelan stepped forward, posture straight, voice firm.
"That would be me."
Loreia looked him over for a moment, then asked,
"And the beast in question?"
Caelan answered without hesitation.
"I brought it. It's ready to be contracted to me."
