Chapter 3: Chapter 3: A Normal Day at School
Spy woke up early, as usual, and got ready for school. He dressed in his school uniform, brushed his hair, and washed his face. As he got ready, he thought about what his day at school would be like. He knew it would be just like any other day, with his classmates ignoring him and his teachers not paying attention to him.
Arriving at school, Spy headed to his locker to drop off his backpack and get his books. As he walked down the hallway, he heard his classmates talking and laughing with each other. He felt like always, invisible.
In his first class, Spy sat in his usual seat, in the back of the room. His math teacher, Miss Johnson, began to explain a complex equation. Spy listened intently, but knew it didn't matter. Miss Johnson never called on him to answer questions, and his classmates never noticed he was there.
As Miss Johnson spoke, Spy became distracted by his plan to erase the world. He wondered if he would be able to do it, if he would have the courage to carry it out. He imagined himself as a god, with the power to create and destroy.
At recess, Spy sat alone on a bench, watching his classmates as they played and had fun. He felt like a spectator, someone who was outside the scene, looking in. A group of boys walked past him, laughing and pushing each other. One of them, a boy named Jake, stopped and looked at Spy.
"Hey, what's wrong, Spy?" Jake said, smirking. "Why are you always alone?"
Spy didn't respond. He knew that no matter what he said, Jake wouldn't listen. Jake shrugged and walked away, leaving Spy alone again.
The rest of the day was the same. Spy attended his classes, did his homework, and sat alone in the cafeteria during lunch. But when the bell rang signaling the end of the school day, Spy felt different. He felt like something was about to change.
As he walked out of school, Spy noticed people ignoring him like always. But this time, he didn't feel invisible. He felt like he was watching everyone, studying them, waiting for the perfect moment to act.
And then, he saw it. A boy named Alex, who always made fun of him, walked up to him and said, "Hey, Spy, what's wrong? Why are you always so quiet?"
Spy alienated himself. He knew this was the moment. He pulled out his phone and called a number. The voice on the other end of the phone answered, "Yeah?"
"Game on," Spy said, with a smile.
And with that, everything changed. The people around him began to act strangely, as if they were under some kind of control. Alex, the boy who had made fun of him, stopped dead in his tracks and looked at Spy with a terrified expression on his face.
"What's going on?" Alex shouted.
Spy laughed. "The game has begun," he said. "And you're the first player."
