Chapter 27: Chapter 27
Jimin stepped out of the house. He looked up to the sun shining bright upon the sky. Cool morning breeze carried the faint scent of the blooming flowers. The grass sparkled with tiny droplets of dew, glistening like diamonds in the sunlight.
Birds chirped a morning melody. A gentle breeze rustled the leaves, making the branches sway slightly.
Jimin took a deep breath, living the moment he longed for. He almost had forgotten to feel alive, to breath in a fresh air, he had loosened all the hopes to be free. And as Jimin stood beneath the sky, on a grassy floor, he felt as if he was dreaming, afraid that he might loose this moment.
Taehyung stood in front of him. A delightful smile carved upon his face, although he didn't want to lower his guard, as the Jisun was still outside. But for a short time, Taehyung just wanted to live this moment.
"Do you like it?" Taehyung asked in a soft voice.
Jimin shifted his attention on Taehyung, he nodded lightly, "Come with me." He said, gently grabbed Jimin's hand, and led him to the greenhouse.
Soon as Jimin reached to the greenhouse, he felt like stepping into another world. The sunlight streamed through the glass walls and ceiling, casting a warm, golden glow over everything. Lush green plants filled the room, vibrant flowers in every color bloomed in carefully arranged pots.
The air seemed rich with the earthy scent of soil and the sweet fragrance of blossoms. On one side of the greenhouse, a large wooden table stood covered in art supplies, paints, brushes, and canvases of all sizes. Jars filled with pencils, markers, and palettes sat neatly in rows, waiting to be used. Shelves lined the walls, holding small sculptures, pots of dried flowers, and bottles of ink in every shade imaginable.
Jimin hesitantly stood at the doorway, gazing at everything unsurely. Afraid of loosing this precious moments. He looked at Taehyung, his small doe eyes widened. Tears filled his eyes and he sobbed in silence.
"From now on, it's your space Jimin." Taehyung began to speak, his own heart felt heavy with emotions but he forced himself to smile. "You can do anything here, nobody will stop you." He added.
For a moment Jimin looked at Taehyung, then he momentarily shifted his gaze to the art supplies. How long it had been since he witnessed so many colours? How long it had been since he inhaled the fresh scent of flowers?. Jimin couldn't assumed the exact numbers, but it was long enough that he forgot to feel joy, he forgot to expressed his emotions.
Jimin took a step closer, tracing each and everything through his fingers, feeling the warmth of flowers, inhaling them, absorbing the every second in him.
Stood at few distance away, Taehyung joyfully watched his brother endearingly. It took him almost two decades to find his brother and provide him a comfortable life, but at least he successfully brought Jimin to the place where he should be.
"You told me something back in the car." Taehyung said, recalling the words Jimin had said last night, when they drove back to home.
Jimin turned to looked at him, his gaze now full of fear and vulnerability. He tugged his lower lip in between his teeth and quickly grabbed the pencil, his eyes now moving back and forth, he looked nervous and confused.
Taehyung's heart skipped a beat as he stood next to Jimin. He wanted to ask him so many questions, but he hesitated. Jimin's unexpected response made him unsure of how to move forward.
Taehyung knew that giving Jimin the art supplies could be dangerous, but he also realized it was the only way to help Jimin come back to life. He hoped that art could bring Jimin back to himself, even though he wasn't sure what it would do.
"You don't need to be scared." Taehyung comforted. "I'll just ask few questions and if you feel okay then you could answer me, but I promise I won't force you to tell me anything, we can take things slowly." He said, heading closer to Jimin.
Jimin gazed at the sketch book, he remembered the last time when Taehyung had asked him to draw anything, and he told Taehyung the most darkest truth about himself. In results, Taehyung not just understand the meaning hidden behind that painting, but also set Jimin free from that darkness.
"So maybe answering his questions would be helpful." Jimin thought, "After all, Taehyung was his brother, the lost one, his real brother, who would do no harm to him." He told himself.
Taehyung felt on the edge, as if someone forcefully made him stand on a thin rope, his eyes moving with every step Jimin took to the table.
