Chapter 444: 444 : Prince for Playing with fire
'Too slow...' Das dashed forward missing another bullet fired from snipers. The mob holding swords, machete, base ball bats lunged forward aiming Das head.
But Das, imbued with the power of the Sylvester family, had other plans. With a calculated glance, he tapped the locket hanging around his neck (Shadow clan's heirloom of USA), Instantly his body vanished, blend with the shadows, becoming one with the cosmos.
In an instant, Das vanished from sight, leaving Bella and her group in stunned silence. His disappearance was not merely a trick of the eye; it was as if he had become part of the very air around them. The crowd erupted into chaos, their eyes scanning the area where Das had stood mere seconds ago.
Meanwhile, Das moved with incredible speed and stealth, his form a mere whisper in the night. He navigated through the shadows, undetected by the bewildered onlookers. His target was a car parked at a long distance from the mob, where he had spotted Leela, the last daughter of Farus family patriarch.
Reaching the vehicle, Das's form materialized from the shadows. The driver, unaware of his approach, didn't stand a chance. With a single, precise punch, Das rendered him unconscious, his actions swift and silent.
Leela, sitting in the backseat and observing the scene where Das had vanished, was oblivious to his approach. Before she could process the sudden disappearance, Das's large hand clutched her neck, pulling her out of the car with an iron grip.
Leela gasped, her mind racing to comprehend what was happening. One moment Das was surrounded by Bella's forces, and the next, he was here, overpowering her with ease.
"How did you..?" Leela managed to stammer, her voice a mix of fear and disbelief.
Das's eyes were cold, his grip unyielding. "Some people will never learn from mistakes. You should know better than to underestimate me, Leela. Did you really think a mere ambush could stop me?"
Leela struggled, trying to free herself, but Das's strength was overwhelming. "You're playing with fire, Das. The Farus family won't let this go."
Das's expression was unemotional, his voice steady. "Let them come. I've dealt with worse. But right now, you're going to behave like obedient puppy, alright?"
Back at the site of the ambush, Bella and her group were still reeling from Das's escape. Confusion and fear spread among them as they realized the extent of his abilities.
The night air was charged with a palpable tension as Bella, in a state of shock, realized the perilous situation unfolding before her. Utilizing the enhanced vision granted by the Farus family's bloodline power, she scanned the distance, her eyes locking onto Leela's position.
"Get the princess!" Bella commanded urgently, her voice laced with anxiety. The mob, previously focused on the spot where Das had vanished, turned as one and sprinted toward Leela, responding to Bella's frantic order.
The snipers, perched in strategic positions, hesitated to take a shot. The risk of harming Leela, who was now in Das's clutches, outweighed their intent to intervene. Each of them understood the delicate balance of power and the value of Leela as a bargaining chip.
As the mob closed in, Das, calm amidst the chaos, subtly touched the ring on his finger, the symbol of the Sylvester family's crown. In an instant, his eyes blazed with the cosmic energy of his lineage. A wave of force emanated from him, invisible yet overwhelming.
Bella, along with her entire group, found themselves suddenly forced to their knees, overcome by the immense power Das wielded. The unexpected show of strength left them immobilized, their bodies trembling under the invisible weight.
"What the hell did you do?" Leela cried out in horror, her voice echoing in the still night air. She could feel her body shaking uncontrollably, the power emanating from Das rendering her helpless.
Bella, struggling against the force that pinned her down, managed to gasp out, "Das... stop this... please..."
"You can't bear the price for playing with fire," Das said, his voice resonating with a grave seriousness. In the next moment, his power surged, a silent but deadly force that swept through the mercenaries. One by one, they collapsed to the ground, lifeless, a testament to the lethal consequences of crossing him.
Leela's eyes widened in horror as she witnessed the scene unfold. Bella, too, was struck with fear, realizing the extent of Das's capabilities.
With swift and efficient movements, Das tore Leela's dress, using the fabric to bind her hands. He did the same to Bella, ensuring they were securely restrained. He then lifted them both, one in each arm, and placed them in the back seat of his car. Their fate was now in his hands, a direct result of their betrayal and miscalculation.
As he drove away from the scene, Das hummed romantic tunes, an eerie calmness about him. The night's events had taken a dark turn, but he remained composed, his mind already focused on the next part of his plan.
He took out a small satellite phone from his pocket and dialled Eden. After explaining the capture of Leela and Bella, he informed her to erase all the evidences related to the incident.
Even though Farus family will definitely know that, Das is behind all this, he decided to play around. That's why asked Eden to clear all the evidences.
