Coiling Dragon: Reborn As The Armored Razorback Wyrm

Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Expansion, the Storm Approaches

Although Sadius was confident in becoming a Deity within three hundred years, the great era of the Yulan continent would not arrive within that timeframe.

Thus, he needed more preparation.

Establishing a force on par with the Four Great Empires and Two Major Alliances was Sadius' first step.

Previously, he had planned to travel alone to the Anarchic Lands and secretly support a duchy.

Now, however, it seemed that his base of operations had to be within The Mountain Range of Magical Beasts.

"Rest assured, if I obtain a Divine Spark, I will prioritize those present here."

With Sadius' guarantee, the magical beasts no longer hesitated.

The temptation of divinity was simply too great.

Thus, an alliance of magical beasts, led by Sadius, was formed.

"Helasor, Ravencross, you both should recuperate in the Misty Valley. The elemental essence here is dozens of times denser than the outside world. You'll recover much faster."

"Little Red, Little Green, Dragon One, Dragon Two, Liyah, and Nien, I need you all to lead your respective tribes and subjugate the magical beasts near the Misty Valley, expanding our territory to encroach upon other Saint-Level beasts."

Nien was the name of the Rank-Nine Stone Eater Rat. Now that everyone had become acquainted, Sadius naturally learned his name.

Upon receiving their orders, the magical beasts immediately took action.

The two Stone Eater Rats swiftly left to command their kind. Little Red and Little Green summoned their Fire Dragon and Green Dragon kin.

Dragon One and Dragon Two, being Rank-Nine Raptor Dragons—terrifying existences even among solitary magical beasts—had already subdued the rest of their species.

Under Sadius' command, the various magical beasts departed Misty Valley, rapidly expanding their territory.

While Sadius expanded his forces, elsewhere—

Finlay City, Finlay Kingdom, Holy Alliance.

Within the grand temple of the Radiant Church, high-ranking figures of the church had gathered: bishops, adjudicators, and cardinals of the Radiant Church sat before a massive, milky-white stone table.

Standing before the grand seat at the head of the table was Saint-Level powerhouse, Heidens.

"Everyone, His Holiness, the Pope, has been missing for half a month."

"Heidens, what exactly are you trying to say?" one of the Saint-Level powerhouses asked.

A Saint-Level Pope undergoing training outside for half a month wasn't unusual.

Though Heidens was a candidate for the next Pope, the Radiant Church was not yet his to command.

"Two days ago, the Lord of Light granted me a vision, revealing that His Holiness has returned to our Lord's embrace."

Heidens held the Book of Fate in his hands, his expression solemn and sincere, showing no signs of falsehood.

"Nonsense! The Pope merely went to The Mountain Range of Magical Beasts to investigate the deaths of Archbishop Aru and six adjudicators. How could anything have happened to him?"

"Fate guided me to a revelation. I saw the heretic! A cataclysmic dragon. It was this dragon that sent His Holiness to our Lord's embrace."

"A dragon? Was it the Saint-Level Tyrant Dragon or the Saint-Level Thunder Dragon? Even if those two joined forces, they wouldn't be a match for His Holiness."

After all, the current Pope had contracted a Saint-Level Golden Dragon.

"A Saint-Level mutated Armored Razorback Wyrm, intertwining Earth, Darkness, and Destruction. That was all fate revealed to me."

Heidens was a Saint-Level expert in the Laws of Fate, so none present doubted his words.

"Eradicate the heretic!"

"Eradicate the heretic!"

As the gathered figures shouted, one of the Saint-Level powerhouses seized the opportunity.

"I hereby request Heidens to assume the position of Pope and lead us in purging the heretic."

The hall fell silent as eyes turned to the speaker.

Then, another voice joined in.

"I request Heidens to assume the position of Pope and lead us in purging the heretic."

One by one, Rank-Nine and Saint-Level powerhouses echoed the sentiment.

Those who did not favor Heidens could only remain silent.

A faint smile touched Heidens' lips as he slowly seated himself upon the Papal throne.

"Bishops, effective immediately, travel to the various kingdoms and issue the decree for military conscription."

"Yes, Your Holiness!"

A war between The Mountain Range of Magical Beasts and the Radiant Church was on the horizon.

Forest of Darkness, Metallic Castle.

Beirut continued overseeing the training of his sons.

Recently, however, he had reached an insight in his research and decided to make a trip to the Necropolis of the Gods.

"You three, train diligently. No slacking off."

With that command, Beirut stepped through the Dark Forest's entrance into the Necropolis of the Gods.

"Big Brother, Second Brother, Father finally left!"

"Finally! This training has been unbearable!"

"Mother isn't here either. Why don't we take a trip?"

"Boring. We're tired of the Forest of Darkness, and we can't go to human empires. If the War God or High Priest spots us, they might snitch to Father."

"Then, how about The Mountain Range of Magical Beasts? That land doesn't belong to humans."

"That's a great idea!"

"Leave our Deity Avatars at home. Our Saint-Level main bodies will visit the range."

The three brothers, each at the peak of Saint-Level, quickly reached an agreement.

With their power, not a single entity on the Yulan Continent could threaten them.

Even the Deity-level powerhouses wouldn't dare provoke them.

Thus, the three Saint-Level Violet-Gold Stone Eater Rat Kings snuck out of the Metallic Castle.

The Mountain Range of Magical Beasts.

Sadius had already expanded the alliance's territory to the borders of the other Saint-Level beasts.

Only then did the remaining five Saint-Level beasts realize something was amiss.

When a Saint-Level Violet Tattooed Bear swatted a clueless Raptor Dragon to death, Sadius decisively took action.

With the Saint-Level Tyrant Dragon and the Saint-Level Thunder Dragon at his side, along with a vast number of high-level magical beasts, he descended upon the Violet Tattooed Bear's domain.

As the Violet Tattooed Bear gazed at the three Saint-Level dragons before him, he sensed something was wrong.

It seemed like he had walked into a trap.

"Helasor, why have you and your brother entered my domain?"

"Bear, this is our Beast Alliance's leader, Lord Sadius. We invite you to join us."

The Saint-Level Violet Tattooed Bear eyed the three dragons warily.

Helasor was the recognized number one beast of The Mountain Range of Magical Beasts, yet he was referring to another as his lord?

He shifted his gaze to the massive Armored Razorback Wyrm in the sky. So this was Sadius.

What kind of being could make Helasor acknowledge them as superior?

"Not interested. Find another Saint-Level beast."

Regardless of their intentions, the Violet Tattooed Bear only wanted to guard his domain and train.

"This isn't a request. Submit, or die."

Sadius' voice was cold.

"Roar! Armored Razorback Wyrm, are you insulting me?!" The Violet Tattooed Bear erupted in fury.

He was not the type to be trifled with. No one could force him into submission.

"So what if I am? Submit, or die!"

"Then die!" The Violet Tattooed Bear charged at Sadius.
