DC Heroes in Marvel

Chapter 298: C258

The next day, Anton woke up early and strolled into the company at a leisurely pace. He glanced over the report on Hell's detective and found the results satisfactory.

On his system panel, Constantine's fan value had already surpassed the 20-million mark.

Since the movie's release, it had only taken two days for Constantine's fan value to reach 23 million. At this rate, it was expected to exceed 30 million in just a few more days, meeting the exchange requirement.

It was also worth noting that over the past few months, Superman: The Prequel, airing as a TV series on major networks and streaming platforms, had achieved considerable success.

Superman Fan Value: 59 million.

Although it was still about one and a half Constantines away from the exchange threshold, it was enough to make Anton satisfied.

Stretching lazily, he walked over to the window and opened it, letting the morning sunlight pour in—just in time to witness something unusual.

The building housing DC Studios and The Daily Bugle was strategically located, facing the newly constructed Stark Tower.

Of course, Stark Tower was much taller, but from his high-rise office, Anton could still see a portion of it.

And right now, on the rooftop helipad, there was a strange gleam of light.

"What's that?"

Anton squinted, trying to get a better look.

RUMBLE!

The bright sun outside his window vanished in an instant as dark clouds rolled in, covering the entire Manhattan skyline.

Across New York, millions of citizens—Anton included—heard a deafening noise echo from above.

It didn't sound like thunder.

No streaks of lightning flashed through the clouds.

Instead, the only visible phenomenon was a beam of light shooting straight into the sky—from the very top of Stark Tower's rooftop helipad.

BOOM!

A second, even louder explosion rocked the air.

Above Stark Tower, the swirling storm clouds coalesced, forming a solid mass directly above the building.

The dark vortex connected seamlessly with the glowing beam of light, releasing an eerie blue radiance.

Anton's eyes narrowed.

"The Battle of New York… It's starting."

This wasn't unexpected.

He had been preparing for this moment for a long time.

Without hesitation, Anton activated his cyborg clone. The air around him burst into motion as the clone rocketed into the sky, leaving a powerful jet stream in its wake, speeding toward Stark Tower.

Then, Anton turned to face the employees of DC Studios.

"Everyone, as of this moment, you're on holiday," he announced firmly.

The room fell silent.

"I need all of you to leave Manhattan immediately," he continued. "There's no time to explain. Just know that this order comes from Batman himself."

A murmur of confusion spread through the employees.

"What's going on?"

"Leave Manhattan?"

At that moment, Betty burst into the room, her face pale with urgency.

"What are you all standing around for?!" she shouted. "MOVE! Get out of Manhattan, NOW!"

"Exactly!" Anton added sharply.

Finally, the gravity of the situation sank in.

A wave of panic swept through the office as employees scrambled to grab their things and rush for the exits.

"Anton."

Before leaving, Betty hesitated for a moment before glancing back at him. "Be careful."

Anton nodded, watching as she left.

Meanwhile, at The Daily Bugle , located above DC Studios, Eddie Brock also noticed the unusual phenomenon outside. Surprised, he quickly sought out Anton.

"What's the situation?" he asked.

"It's time," Anton replied, nodding. "Evacuate The Daily Bugle staff, then notify George Stacy to lead the police in evacuating the citizens of Manhattan. Leave the rest to me."

"Got it."

Eddie gave a firm nod and hurried off. He wasn't concerned about his own safety—his priority was making sure the newspaper's employees got out safely.

As soon as Eddie left, Anton pulled out his phone again.

"General Hawk."

He spoke into the receiver.

"Things are escalating faster than I expected. You're here just in time. Target: Stark Tower, rooftop helipad. Move in now."

Stark Tower – Rooftop Helipad

At that moment, cyborg Clone arrived near the rooftop helipad of Stark Tower.

There, he saw Victor Doom, Tony, and Harry standing together, their expressions vacant as they surrounded the glowing beam of light shooting into the sky.

Something felt off.

"Why are the three of them together?"

A flicker of doubt crossed cyborg Clone's mind.

He wasn't trying to stay hidden, so Doom, Tony, and Harry spotted him immediately.

Whoosh!

Without hesitation, the three attacked him in perfect synchronization—almost as if… they were operating as a unit.

Something's wrong!

Cyborg Clone evaded their attacks, quickly piecing together the situation from all available information.

And then, the realization struck him.

Loki's Mind Scepter.

Loki had somehow taken control of Doom, Tony, and Harry.

Observing this unfold through his clone's perspective, Anton immediately understood what was happening.

If Loki had already taken control of these three… then what about the rest of the Avengers?

Had Loki allowed himself to be captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. just so he could use the Mind Scepter to take control of everyone?

Anton's expression darkened.

He needed to prepare for the worst.

BOOM!

Shortly after the blue energy beam shot into the sky, arcs of electricity and fire erupted around Stark Tower.

Cyborg Clone had been forced into the open.

Now, everyone near Stark Tower could see Iron Man, Harry, and Victor Doom locked in battle with him.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Explosions erupted across the rooftop as the fight escalated.

At the same time, Cyborg Clone hacked into the Manhattan citywide network, overriding municipal speakers, radio channels, and digital billboards to issue an emergency broadcast.

"This is Cyborg. All citizens must evacuate Manhattan immediately!"

"Emergency notice!

I repeat: This is Cyborg! All citizens must leave Manhattan immediately!"

The message repeated in a loop across every available broadcast system.

Then, focusing his energy, Cyborg Clone launched into the air, circling Stark Tower while dodging attacks from Tony and Harry. He fired back with a series of energy blasts.

RUMBLE!

Explosions burst like fireworks around the skyscraper, but no one was stopping to admire them.

The civilians below—who had been mere spectators at first—were now gripped by sheer terror.

A city-wide evacuation order from a superhero was unheard of.

The phrase "All citizens must leave Manhattan immediately" sent a wave of panic across the borough.

"Move! Follow the evacuation orders!"

Police officers immediately sprang into action, directing traffic and clearing roads to help civilians flee as fast as possible.

At police headquarters, George Stacy's expression turned grim.

He finally realized—what happened in Times Square yesterday was not the real crisis Eddie had warned him about.

This… this was the real catastrophe.

And it was only just beginning.
