Delayed Transfer

Chapter 450

The food that Donald and Robert brought over from Earth that was prepared by Donald’s chefs was top-notch, equal to the food that Mark stored in his inventory. Mark did travel the world for that food and they came from the top chefs all over Earth. That’s why he had always been proud of his food when he offered it to his friends.

Of course, they couldn’t be compared to food from Veltun that was prepared using magical ingredients like magic beasts or spiritual herbs, vegetables, and fruits but then again, it wasn’t his fault that Earth did not have those.

One disadvantage of his Replication magic was Mark couldn’t replicate items that contained mana so he didn’t bother storing those types of food in his inventory. He was satisfied with his current food. Besides his source of power was mainly leveling up and not cultivating his mana using magical food.

After lunch, Donald and Robert’s group returned to Narcone so they could continue leveling up. Donald and Elizabeth and Robert and Danielle were older and would probably prefer not to dive the dungeon but the power brought on by leveling up was truly too advantageous for anyone.

Not only that, Albert was too adamant in leveling up and his parents couldn’t leave him alone with anyone.

Mark heard Robert and Donald saying that their group would probably split up since Robert and Danielle would stop dungeon diving and return to England for Albert’s schooling.

Mark also told the twins and Liriel that after lunch Rendira would no longer tutor them and when Isaac asked why, he told them that once he talked to Robert about the details of their schooling, they would probably join Albert in his school.

Mark was surprised when the twins followed by Liriel who copied her brothers ran towards him and hugged him. He clearly underestimated the twins' interest in studying in school and wondered what Albert had been telling them.

“We’ll finally walk the hallways of Hogwarts!” Aaron suddenly said and that made Mark gasped.

“You may have misunderstood what Albert does in school!”

When the twins saw Mark’s expression, they laughed uproariously.

“We’re just joking with you. We know that Albert’s school will be full of normal people who don’t even know that magic exists,” Aaron said while Isaac kept on laughing.

Liriel was giggling as well even though Mark wasn’t sure if the little girl understood what the joke was all about.

After that, the kids ran out from the circle of RVs to join their friends roaming the circus while Liriel waddled after them. Norleen followed them soon after and Mark was glad that Lisa, Norleen, and Connor were vigilant in looking after the kids.

“Nedertu, is it too bothersome for Lisa, Norleen, or Connor to look after the kids?”

“Of course not! That's their job and you’re paying them a lot for that. The others actually envied them you know and honestly even if you didn’t assign them to look after the kids, there’s always someone from the circus looking after the children,” Mark’s driver said.

Since he had nothing to do, Mark went to Narcone to check out the dungeons there so he activated the Warp Gate and entered it. When he exited the portal, he saw the guards were looking at him ready for battle but when they saw it was him, they calmed down quickly and returned to their post.

Mark went to one of them to ask them some questions.

“Do you know who I am? Why didn’t you challenge me when I entered the portal?”

“We know that the Warp Gate was only supposed to be open during the morning and the evening but we were shown a list of pictures of the people who had special authority to use the gate and your picture is in them. Hamil had this device that had the list of pictures. I think he called it a tablet,” The guard said.

“We were informed by the higher-ups that the list was approved by the council so we memorized the pictures,” Another guard added.

Mark thanked the guards and headed to the Novice Dungeon. He was appreciative of how capable Hamil was when it came to things like this.

When he arrived at the Novice Dungeon, he entered the tavern located beside the dungeon and was surprised to see Sam and the others seated at one of the tables. They looked like they just exited the dungeon and were currently resting.

Mark went to their table while shouting out his friends’ names.

“What are you doing here?” Sam asked.

“I had nothing to do after lunch so I decided to visit this dungeon and enter the last floor to check if I could earn mana stones efficiently but honestly I’m just curious. I’m not going to fight of course but will just use summons to defeat the monsters.”

“Can we join you? I’m curious as well and I want to check them out,” Armina asked.

“Sure but you probably will not earn any experience points,” Mark answered.

After that, they all went to the entrance of the dungeon. Sam talked to the mage that was controlling the portal and paid the man five mana stones and requested to enter the 20th level.

“Are you sure about that? The last floor has a very powerful monster. Although the reward for defeating it is better than a regular monster, the danger is great, especially to new adventurers like yourselves,” The mage said.

“My friend there is a high-level mage and was just curious about the dungeon. He was planning to enter alone but we asked to accompany him out of curiosity as well,” Sam told the mage, and the man just shrugged clearly not caring anymore since he had already done his duty warning the adventurers.

When Mark and his friends entered the portal, he saw that the 20th level was still some sort of cavern and wondered why cavern was the most common dungeon theme. He cast his Space Floating Disk spell and replicated a carpet and a huge sofa on top of the disk. When they were all seated on the sofa comfortably, he commanded the disk to float and move forward.

“This is one hell of a comfortable dungeon dive,” Blake said while shaking his head.

While the disk was moving forward, the group talked about a lot of mundane things like the current games they were playing, the shows they were currently watching, the animes they were looking forward to watching, the novels they were currently reading, and things like that.

Soon, they encountered the first group of enemies which were fierce-looking kobolds riding huge dire wolves and huge fearsome trolls. Mark summoned all of his tree golems and commanded them to attack the monsters.

They continued talking while the plant golems battled with the monsters. The plant golems clearly overpowered the monsters so much that it only took less than five minutes before they were all defeated.

At first, Mark could see that Blake was a little nervous since the monsters were very powerful, at least compared to them except Mark but when Sam’s fiancé saw how calm the others were and how powerful the plant golems were, he calmed down as well.

After all the monsters were dead, Mark and his friends searched for anything valuable that dropped from the monsters, and after storing the loot, they sat on the chair on top of the disk and then continued moving forward.
