 EXT-FOREST-NIGHT

1- Tanjiro runs on crunched leaves for nine seconds until he reaches his destination. He stops and sniffs the air, at which point GIYU TOMIOKA jumps out of nowhere and strikes Tanjiro, who falls backward. 

2- TANJIRO

Ack!

3- Tanjiro rubs his back. GIYU walks up to Tanjiro lifting him up

4- GIYU

Tanjiro, your instincts are sharp, however, your sense of smell won't always save you. You have to figure out how to survive on more than that. Detect your enemy's presence and use that to predict their attacks.

KAGAYA UBUYASHIKI

(Voice-over narration with echo)

Tanjiro Kamado, I have an important mission for you. In a remote village outside of the entertainment district, there lives a former Hashira. He is very strong and has a powerful sword art style. I need you to go to this remote village to recruit him for our fight against Muzan. He was lost to history but luckily my father kept his record. Tanjiro please, we need him. His name is Asai, Asai Hideki.

Asai Hideki? Never heard of him.

16-GIYU's eyes narrow in confusion?

19-GIYU turns his head.

22- GIYU starts walking away from Tanjiro.

Caw! We Must Go Now! Caw!

EXT. ENTRANCE TO ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT-NIGHT-CONTINOUS

27- Tanjiro stops as he observes the entertainment district that was destroyed not too long ago. It seems they rebuilt quite well. Workers are moving along quickly to fix the damage that was brought by Tanjiro and his companions only months before. Tanjiro starts to the entrance when a familiar voice calls out to him.

INOSUKE

TANJIRO!! HEY TANJIRO!!

TANJIRO

Hey Inosuke!

30- Tanjiro waved his hand whilst laughing joyfully at seeing Inosuke again.

TANJIRO (CONT.)

Where's Zenitsu?

32-

INSOUKE

Eh?! He was right behind me.

33-

ZENITSU

I'm right here! Hey Tanjiro! Where's Nezuko?

TANJIRO

Oh right! She's right here!

35-Zenitsu approaches Tanjiro and stops as Tanjiro sets the big box on the ground and opens it to reveal Nezuko sleeping.

NEZUKO

Sleeping Noises

37-

ZENITSU

NEZUKOOOOOOO!!

38-Zenitsu jumps at Nezuko but she kicks him away.

ZENITSU

ACK!

40- Zenitsu falls hard on his back as Nezuko climbs out of the box.

NEZUKO

Mm, mm, mm

What did she say?

TANJIRO

Hey Nezuko! How are you feeling?

ZENITSU

ARE YOU IGNORING ME?! LISTEN TO ME DAMMIT!!

45-Tanjiro sniffs the air and hurries off as he calls back to his friends.

TANJIRO

This way! I smell a demon!

INOSUKE

ALL RIGHT! I WAS WAITING FOR A FIGHT!

ZENITSU

wait you guys, hold on, WAIT FOR MEEEEE!!

49-Everybody followed Tanjiro's lead who made his way to a terrible smell in the air.

EXT. FOREST AREA-NIGHT-Continous

50-Tanjiro rushes to the scene and sees a woman on the ground shaking. He rushes to her but skids to a halt as he smells the air. He raises his sword at the woman who starts to laugh maniacally.

51-

FEMALE DEMON

How did you know? I thought I did an incredible job. Oh well, EVERYONE!!

52-Suddenly three demons came out of hiding. Each one smelled weak.

53-

TANJIRO

Why do you all smell so weak? I smelt something strong earlier.

54-

DEMON 1

Don't take us lightly!!

55-The demon leaped forward and swiped to his right. Tanjiro ducked and already cut the demon's head. Another leaped at Inosuke, he leaped in the air…

INOSUKE

HUP!

…and landed behind the second demon already cutting its head off. The third demon leaped at Zenitsu who was cowering in fear.

ZENITSU

AH! NO LEAVE ME ALONE PLEASEEE!

DEMON 3

You'll make a fine dinner!

Before it could reach Zenitsu its head was kicked off like a soccer ball by Nezuko. The female demon started to run away. 

TANJIRO

Water Breathing First Form: Water Surface Slash!

Before she even knew what was happening her head was already falling. Tanjiro's sad eyes looked down.

FEMALE DEMON

How dare you look down on me! I-I'll kill you! I'll kill you! I'll Kill yo-

She completely disappeared with hatred in her heart and Tanjiro was especially sad at this. He put his hands together to pray for her soul…

TANJIRO

 I'm sorry.

…Tanjiro stands up and smells something. It's a familiar smell, it's the rotten smell of a strong demon, it's close. 

TANJIRO

Stay close! There's a strong scent in the air!

ZENITSU

Wha-WHAT?! WE GOT TO GET OUT OF HE-

Okurimono Shi

My, My, My, what a strange development. 

TANJIRO

WH-WHO ARE YOU?!

OKURIMONO

I'm a demon, isn't it obvious? No? Well, then shall we make it obvious?

The strange demon approached carrying two different slayer corps blades. One was red and the other was white. Each is on a different side of its hip. It grabbed the white blade and charged at Tanjiro specifically. Tanjiro dodged quickly out of the way.

TANJIRO

(Inner Thoughts)

He's fast…

The demon charged again swiping and missing just barely.

TANJIRO

(Inner Thoughts Cont.)

I can't keep up. 

The demon found an opening and swiped at Tanjiro. TING! Inosuke stopped the attack with his two blades. The demon is now laughing.

OKURIMONO

Water breathing first form: Water surface SLASH!!

Suddenly water started forming off his blade and cut Inosuke's shoulder…

INOSUKE

Ack!

…Inosuke, bleeding from his shoulder dodged to the side to strike at the demon.

INOSUKE

Beast Breathing Third Fang: DEVOUR!!

Inosuke unleashes slashes headed right for the demon's head who doesn't move out of the way. Instead, he lifts his sword…

OKURIMONO

Beast breathing Third Fang: DEVOUR!!

INOSUKE

Wait, What?

Now the demon's blade conjured up slashes that negated the ones Inosuke dealt. 

OKURIMONO

That's right, I can copy any sword art style I see and use that same technique. 

INOSUKE

NO FAIR, THAT'S CHEATING! GET YOUR OWN SWORD STYLE!

The demon lunged forward but was stopped by Nezuko. She kicks him away from Tanjiro and Inosuke. 

TANJIRO

Nezuko!

OKURIMONO

(Inner thoughts)

Damn, I can't copy demon arts only sword styles. This one is a problem. 

The demon puts the white blade away and pulls out the red one. He takes a stance that Tanjiro knows too well. It was the last stance of Rengoku.

TANJIRO

Wh-where did you see that?

OKURIMONO

Oh, this? I ran into a Hashira a long time ago. I barely escaped with my life but luckily I learned a few techniques first.

TANJIRO

Yo-You can't! 

OKURIMONO

I heard he died fighting some upper-ranked demon.

TANJIRO

YOU BASTARD!! I'LL KILL YOU!

Tanjiro charged at the demon who was waiting for him.

INOSUKE

No Tanjiro!! It's a trap!!

Tanjiro charged anyway.

TANJIRO

AHHHHH!

He swung his sword but it was no use. 

OKURIMONO

Flame Breathing Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun!!

The demon swiped upwards and Tanjiro blinded by rage didn't see the blade coming until it was too late. The blade swiftly came upwards with flames surrounding it, luckily for Tanjiro someone grabbed his kimono and threw him back away from the strike. A man with flowing pink and red hair was standing where Tanjiro was. His blade collided with the demon's. 

OKURIMONO

Y-youuuu!

ASAI

Never let your guard down in the face of demons unless you want to die. 

The man looked strong. The demon backed off and sheathed his sword.

OKURIMONO

So you've finally decided to come out of hiding, have you? Akumu is gonna hear about this. He's gonna make sure your worst nightmares come true! Tanjiro, I'll see you soon.

Ac-The demon disappeared and quiet enveloped the surrounding area.

INT. SOME HOUSE-NIGHT

Okurimono enters the open window to see his master Akumu sitting in his chair. 

OKURIMONO

Master, He's come out of hiding. Asai-

Ac- Without saying a word, Akumu had Okurimono in the air with one hand and his book in the other. 

AKUMU

How dare you speak his name in my presence! I have half a mind to kill you here!

Still looking away he flipped a page in his book, the malice in his voice making Okurimono tremble. 

OKIURIMONO

(Struggling to speak)

I-I'm sorry, Master, please let me go.

Akumu dropped Okurimono and he hit the floor hard. 

AKUMU

Leave me.

Okurimono didn't question his master and swiftly he left Akumu all alone sitting in his chair, reading his book, until he crushed it. His eyes bulging from hatred.

AKUMU

Asai, asai, asai, asai, Asai, Asai, Asai, Asai…

Akumu starts digging at his flesh and keeps repeating the name over and over. 

AKUMU 

Asai, ASAI, ASAI, ASAI, ASAI!! Heavy breathing…I'll kill you.
