Douluo Dalu: My System Is Dissastified

Chapter 51: Chapter 51

Chapter 51:

"Iron Fighting Spirit Soft Bone Charming Rabbit, please proceed to Fighting Field 14."

A mechanical voice echoed through the Great Spirit Arena's hall.

Xiao Wu's opponent was a power-type spirit master. The moment the fight started, she wasted no time—using her first ability, Charm, to make the guy freeze up, and then her second spirit skill, Waist Bow, to flip his ass over like a ragdoll. The match ended without any suspense.

Of course, what really shocked the crowd was the sight of Xiao Wu's spirit rings—her second and third rings were both thousand-year purple rings. That was straight-up insane for her level. The audience, especially the nobles in the VIP area, couldn't sit still. Some of them rushed to the registration hall, trying to dig up information on Xiao Wu. Recruiting such a talented young spirit master into their forces would be a dream.

But too bad for them—Xiao Wu was wearing a mask, and the Great Spirit Arena had strict rules against leaking contestant identities. The nobles left empty-handed.

"Iron Fighting Spirit Thousand-Handed Shura, please proceed to Fighting Field 15. Iron Fighting Spirit Yang Qingfeng, please proceed to Fighting Field 15."

That was Tang San's nickname—Thousand-Handed Shura.

Zhu Zhuqing originally wanted to sign up for the individual competition, but Ye Feng stopped her. Instead, he sent her off to buy him a bottle of water. Just like that, Ye Feng unknowingly changed the course of events. Zhu Zhuqing's first opponent in the Great Spirit Arena was supposed to be Tang San, but now, she ended up facing someone else.

"Iron Fighting Spirit Netherworld Spirit Cat, please proceed to Fighting Field 16. Iron Fighting Spirit Chen Simei, please proceed to Fighting Field 16."

Zhu Zhuqing's opponent was no longer Tang San but a spirit master named Chen Simei. The fight wasn't even close—Zhu Zhuqing's experience and spirit rank dominance made the outcome obvious. Even though Chen Simei was level 28 and Zhu Zhuqing was level 27, she took her opponent down with ease. One win, one point.

Ding!

"Congratulations, you have altered the original storyline. Zhu Zhuqing's first opponent in the Great Spirit Arena was not Tang San, allowing her to secure an easy victory. Reward: 1 attribute point."

Hearing the system's notification, Ye Feng smirked.

"Only one point, huh? Well, better than nothing."

He immediately assigned the attribute point to strength. With this single point, his raw strength permanently increased by ten kilograms.

The matches continued.

Ye Feng's opponent was a level 46 power-type spirit master. A decent challenge, but not for him. By now, Ye Feng had racked up 159 additional attribute points—that translated to nearly 16 Newtons of raw force. In the end, the match was laughably one-sided.

After registering his win, an announcement rang out:

"For the third two-on-two match, the Qingfeng Team versus the Nine Heart Spirit Cats Team. Please prepare."

Ye Feng stretched. "Our turn."

Zhu Zhuqing simply nodded and followed him toward the arena.

Behind them, Tang San watched Ye Feng's back, his expression unreadable. Then, without looking away, he muttered, "Let's go watch."

Dai Mubai, Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, Oscar, and Ma Hongjun nodded and followed.

They were all curious. They wanted to see for themselves—just how strong was Ye Feng, the so-called strongest monster in Shrek Academy?

But for Tang San, it was more than curiosity.

He clenched his fists.

For six years, he and Ye Feng had been together at the Notting City Junior Spirit Academy. Six years of hard training, pushing himself to the limit every damn day, mastering the Tang Sect's hidden weapons techniques… yet no matter what he did, he couldn't close the gap.

Ye Feng was level 49. Tang San? Only level 29.

A full 20-level difference.

Tang San wasn't the jealous type, but anyone in his position would feel at least a little bitter. That sense of being left behind—it fucking sucked.

Meanwhile, Ye Feng and Zhu Zhuqing stepped onto the stage.

Since they were masked and tall for their age, no one could tell their exact ages.

In the center of the ring, their opponents were already waiting—a man and a woman, both lean and well-built. They were the Qingfeng Team.

From just one glance, Ye Feng could tell they weren't power-type fighters.

"They're both agility-type," Ye Feng mused.

"Mm," Zhu Zhuqing responded simply.

She wasn't much of a talker. In fact, since Ye Feng met her, she had barely spoken more than five sentences. Her cold, distant personality made it hard for most people to approach her.

The announcer's voice boomed:

"Begin!"

The female opponent stepped forward.

"My name is Yang Qingqing. My spirit is the White Crane. I am a level 46 Agility Attack Spirit Master. Please guide me."

As she spoke, four spirit rings appeared beneath her feet—one white, two yellow, one purple.

Her male teammate followed.

"My name is Liu Feng. My spirit is the Four-Winged Hummingbird. I am a level 47 Agility Attack Spirit Master. Please guide me."

Like Yang Qingqing, he also had four spirit rings—one white, two yellow, and one purple.

For most spirit masters, having a perfect spirit ring configuration wasn't realistic. Without powerful mentors or family support, many had to settle for whatever rings they could get. These two were a prime example of that struggle.

Zhu Zhuqing didn't introduce herself. Ye Feng had already told her—don't waste words during a fight.

Without a sound, two yellow spirit rings appeared beneath her feet. Her dark wind-infused energy surged around her, her long black hair fluttering slightly. At that moment, she was mesmerizing.

The opposing team's faces twisted in shock.

"Two rings? A Great Spirit Master?"

Liu Feng looked at Zhu Zhuqing in disbelief. "Are you sure there's no mistake? We're both in our forties, and we're matched with a level-20 Great Spirit Mas—"

His voice trailed off.

His eyes widened.

Because Ye Feng had just summoned his martial spirit—the Nine Hearts Mysterious Tang.

And beneath Ye Feng's feet, four spirit rings flickered into existence.

Two yellow. One purple.

One black.

"A ten-thousand-year spirit ring?!" Yang Qingqing gasped.

Both their faces turned pale.

Now, they understood why a Great Spirit Master was matched against them.

Because her partner…

Was a damn level 49 Spirit Master with a ten-thousand-year ring.

Liu Feng swallowed nervously but forced himself to stay calm. He turned to Yang Qingqing, his expression determined.

"Relax, Qingqing. Look at his martial spirit—it's just a flower. If I'm right, he's either a control-type or an auxiliary-type. That means all we have to do is focus on his partner. If we take her down first, we win."

Then, he smirked.

"And besides… she's probably his girlfriend. He'll be too distracted protecting her."

Zhu Zhuqing's face twitched.

"What the fuck did you just say?"
