Chapter 13: Here we go

Chapter 13: Here we go

Noah was first surprised to see Eleonora taking such an affectionate action. She had been casual about harems and other partners, yet when push came to shove, she reacted true to her feelings.

He smiled, leaned in, and rubbed his nose on hers, making her blush and embrace him with her face pressed against his chest. That gave Noah a chance to look at Immortal Athena, his new companion.

Her regal countenance and her wolfish green eyes, brimming with boundless interest, instantly captivated him. She had long, wild, and untamed pink hair ending in red curls, with wolf ears of the same color.

She wore a black crop top with long sleeves that exposed her slim stomach, and tight jeans hugging her legs and ass. That bottom shocked Eleonora and made her act, because Athena's full and plush rear seemed to strain her jeans.

She also had a simple wolf tail that did nothing to cover her bottom, completely opposite to Eleonora's. The fox witch had an advantage in her chest, but Athena was not far behind there either.

Noah was attracted most to her gorgeous face, which felt like the cherry on top. She looked truly beautiful and flawless for someone who had supposedly fought countless wars.

The intense interest in her gaze made Noah feel needed and important, which was different from what Eleonora gave him. Slowly, he began to understand how simple men were and how harems worked.

Athena smiled at him. "Am I pleasing to thy eyes?"

"Yes, very," Noah said.

Eleonora puffed her cheek when she heard him.

Smiling more and looking at Noah with a deeper meaning, Athena spoke from her heart. "In this vast universe, thou wast the one who saved me and broke my seal. It cannot be mere coincidence that thou art able to do so. Henceforth, I shall surrender myself wholly unto thee. I shall hide no secrets, always be forthright about our relationship, and forever trust thy judgment."

After saying that oath, Athena softened and looked much more like a woman than a warrior. She fiddled with her fingers and lowered her head a bit while keeping her eyes on Noah.

"I should like to be more like a woman… if thou dost not mind, dear."

Noah widened his eyes at her embarrassed side. From a stalwart war goddess, Athena turned into a woman who had missed the best years of her life and now yearned for love and affection. She looked so adorable that Noah wanted to embrace her and promise to fulfill her wish.

After such a heartfelt oath and such a lovable sight, how could he remain silent? Even Eleonora looked over her shoulder and was stunned to see the war goddess in this shy state. Athena must have used all her courage just to ask if she was attractive.

Noah gathered his own courage and brushed aside his doubts. "In your title, Immortal Athena, I'll always treasure Athena more."

"I am in thy care, dear," Athena said, using the last of her bravery to answer without stuttering, then bowing like an old-fashioned housewife.

Eleonora brought a finger to her lips and muttered, "Immortal Athena… oh my. I know you even without the Universe Library's Knowledge."

"It seems thou art aware of me," Athena said, turning to the fox witch. She returned to her official self, exuding a raw confidence.

Eleonora nodded. "Yes. You are named after the famous legend of Athena, the War Goddess. That name is so renowned that it's hard to find a world where the legend is unknown. You lived up to it and won numerous wars across worlds and trials."

Athena agreed. "Indeed. Yet there is more to that legend. It says Athena won her battles with cunning tactics and alliances. I began the same way, but as my strength increased, I relied less on plans. My raw power alone sufficed, and I could conclude wars with minimal troops and no alliances. That was not what those in power truly desired."

Countless lives were lost in those wars. At the same time, many benefited from them. The more people fought, the more profits rose. When Athena became so strong that she singlehandedly ended disputes and claimed what her people needed, their earnings greatly diminished.

It was acceptable when she fought long wars and only had an edge, but having too much of an edge was not welcomed. They tricked and sealed her. In her final moments, she saw her people's true nature. They did not fight for their people's wellbeing so much as they fought for the wealth of those in charge. She had never lived for her own sake or felt precious affection from the opposite sex.

Feeling for her, Noah approached Athena and pulled her into a tight embrace. He gently tousled her hair and felt her warmth. As she surrendered to him, he felt how soft she was, her sweet fragrance filling his nose.

"Let's explore each other's affection forever," Noah said. "All three of us."

Athena whimpered in his ear, "Yes, dear."

Eleonora put her hands on her waist and said, "I must not be a proper thief if I haven't stolen my handsome's heart for myself. It's not like I need to improve my methods. The milk has already been spilled."

The onlookers all thought, 'She will definitely do something now.'
