Extra's Perfect Ending
Chapter 57: Midnight
Reeva saw that night had fallen as soon as he got to the main church, as the phone had indicated. Specifically, midnight. To Reeva's knowledge, nobody was inside the building.
They must be pouring their manpower to search for the gun.
That's Reeva's guess. He would like to thank the Homeless man who lured the priest out. He would award the guy 2 stac if he ever got out of this place. And it would soon become a reality. since he could walk freely out of the church.
Reeva ran along the red carpet hoping to get outside. He already couldn't hear the pursuing knight anymore, which meant they couldn't keep up with him or they couldn't abandon their duties. Both of which are beneficial for him.
However, he wasn't gonna slack off here. Reeva hadn't seen Plutus when he was passing by the prison cell, he hadn't checked out the living quatre but he is pretty sure Plutus would have gone out to find more help.
Catching a happy demon like himself solo would be a suicide mission. And Reeva knew that Plutus was smart enough to know that the demon wouldn't be stuck there forever, so his best move was to tell Theodore about the demon.
It had been several hours since Reeva was stuck inside the Flame chamber, So he wasn't gonna take any chance and wait for Plutus to come back. Every minute counts here.
Speaking of the devil... or Priest
Reeva has been one step behind. His slow progress in the flame chamber has cost him dearly. At the front door, a group of priests has already arrived. Among them, Theodore was leading the way while Plutus followed behind meeking.
"How!?"
Plutus eyes widen. After catching sight of Reeva. It was like he had seen a ghost. Truthfully he didn't expect Reeva to be able to escape the chamber. It was built to suppress the prisoner with the mystic power or a priest who wanted to repent. Design to keep them in there as a punishment or a lesson.
It's the perfect place to imprison a mystic user.
However, the person who's the most shocked is not Plutus it's actually Theodore. His face is pale like he has seen a ghost.
"Kill him!"
The fear all turns into anger within a second. He knew exactly how Reeva got out. Theodore summons a torch from thin air, Plutus snaps out of his daze and chants a light spell. Several priests charge at him with ferocity. They pull different weapons or spells to cast at him.
Reeva however, is more prepared than ever. He couldn't escape this kind of predicament by only firing his gun. He quickly activates [experiment] from his phone and starts generating Pure happiness.
The thought of winning the battle against the priest ran through him.
How happy he would be when he won.
"No, get back!"
Theodore realizes what's happening from the weird atmosphere but it's too late, Reeva has already finished his transformation.
"Flames, protect us!"
Theodore shouted out loud and the torch in his hand flicked. The wall of flames rises up from the ground in front of him, Plutus, and two other long-range priests. he wasn't able to cast it to protect the front line. He prayed that whatever happened wouldn't be fatal.
One priest charged in the front with his sword. The divine yellow flame lit up the whole metal as he slashed into Reeva hoping to incapacitate the fake priest. However, Reeva's hand grabs onto the sword. The priest's eyes widened as he met the yellow gaze.
Then Reeva reveals an eerie smile.
Every priest who was storming in halted their progress. Reeva's happiness had an impact on them all, and they all became enmeshed in his bliss. They bow down and pray for such a joyous occasion.
"Praise the sun!"
"Praise the sun!"
That is what priests who worship the sun deity typically say. Use on a happy occasion, but this time, Reeva was the object of worship.
Such a good occasion that was.
With more happiness, his power surges. Yellow mist seeps from everybody nearby. When he was underground he could only get Plutus to be happy but now several priests were in jubilation. He is much more powerful than before.
After subdoing the priest close to him Reeva's eyes move onto the Plutus and Theodore. Fear is plastered on their face. Not every day one gets to battle a demon and not every demon is this powerful.
The demon could be born from a weak belief that doesn't have much power or potential, Plutus and Theodore have rodeo dealing with such an entity before. But Reeva has a different vibe to him. A belief powerful enough to incapacitate many priests is worth respecting.
"Plutus why didn't you tell me that it's this powerful!?"
"Father you didn't listen, I already said multiple times."
Plutus is a little annoyed by Theodore. He keeps telling the middle-aged priest that this demon is powerful. But Theodore brushes it off, saying that the gun is more important. So Plutus has to use that point to drag Theodore here.
Luckily and unluckily, they encounter the demon.
However, that is not gonna discourage Theodore, at the end of the day, he is a 4th circle sun god follower. Something that most people couldn't even reach within their life.
"Flame! burn my enemy!"
A pillar of fire extends out of the torch, and it delivers itself faster than any of the priests could react. However, the smiling demon could see it from a mile away. His eyes could see other mystics' forces that were not happiness and it showed a path before the flame could even arrive.
Reeva avoided the flame pillar that was aimed at him, but three more mystic powers suddenly began to fly in his direction. Three things: a mystic rock, a mystic arrow, and a sword of light from Plutus.
He smiles and weaves between all of them. He also lets out some amount of Yellow mist and he sends it to attack the priests.
"Flames, protect us!"
Another wall of flame got in his way.
