[FATE] OP Demon King Across Multiverse!

Chapter 27: Chapter 26: The Sword of Promised Victory

Artoria leaped backward, placing a hand over her wound.

A dark aura surged around her, and within mere seconds, the wound was completely healed—as if it had never existed.

But Ryuu had expected this.

With the corruptive power of the Grail, Artoria wielded limitless mana regeneration—healing minor wounds was effortless.

Across the battlefield, Ritsuka and Olga tensed. Their hands clenched as they watched in silent frustration.

(That attack landed—but it still wasn't enough…!)

Meanwhile, Artoria studied Ryuu carefully before speaking.

"I must admit, Master… You have improved since our last battle."

Ryuu smirked.

"An honor to be praised by King Arthur herself."

"However—"

Artoria's golden eyes sharpened.

"—this is as far as you go."

A black aura exploded outward.

The pitch-black Holy Sword rose high—its cursed energy swelling.

Darkness bled from its blade, pooling like a storm of malevolence before taking form—

A colossal surge of magical energy condensed at its tip.

Ryuu's expression darkened.

(Here it comes—Excalibur Morgan.)

The corrupted counterpart to the legendary Sword of Promised Victory.

Unlike its golden twin, this blade did not save—it erased.

"As the King of Knights, I shall entertain you with the highest of honor."

Artoria's voice rang out—powerful and solemn.

"Ex—calibur Morgan!"

BOOOOOOM!

A massive beam of darkness surged forward—aimed directly at Ryuu and Mash.

"Mash, brace yourself!"

The black torrent crashed down—

Mash gritted her teeth and raised her massive cross-shaped shield.

"Deploying Noble Phantasm—!"

A blue magical circuit lit up—her voice resonating with power.

"Lord Chaldeas!"

A radiant barrier burst forth, materializing the foundation of human civilization itself.

BOOOOOOOM—!!

The corrupted Excalibur Morgan slammed into the fortress-like shield, sending shockwaves across the cavern.

The sheer pressure knocked Ritsuka and Olga to the ground, forcing them to shield their eyes from the brilliance of the clash.

But Mash…

Mash did not falter.

Ryuu remained beneath her defensive ward, eyes narrowing.

(That was close…)

In this situation, his close-combat skills were useless.

---

As the beam gradually faded, Artoria lowered her sword slightly—a rare flicker of surprise flashing across her features.

(A shield that can withstand Excalibur Morgan… Even incomplete, it holds this much power?)

She recognized it instantly.

This was not just any defense.

It was the very walls of Camelot itself.

Artoria exhaled, her grip tightening on her sword.

"I see now… You have inherited his will."

Mash panted heavily, sweat dripping down her face.

Yet—her grip on the shield never wavered.

Artoria nodded slightly.

"If that is the case—then I shall no longer hold back."

Artoria raised Excalibur Morgan once more—

This time, black energy erupted instantly.

The air shook as another beam began charging at an alarming rate—

Faster, stronger, more devastating than before.

Mash gritted her teeth—her mana was nearly depleted.

She had barely held against the first blast—she wouldn't survive another.

Ryuu's arm burned with strain, his muscles already fatigued from the prolonged battle.

(If this goes on, we'll be annihilated—)

At that moment—

A system notification flashed in Ryuu's mind.

Ding! Servant Archer has been slain.

Demon King Points +500.

(Heh. Cu Chulainn finished off Red Archer, huh?)

Despite the tense situation, Ryuu smirked.

(That means backup should arrive soon.)

But right now—they had to hold out.

Ryuu gritted his teeth, his arms trembling under the force of the last attack.

"Dammit…"

Even his enhanced strength from the Third Blood Awakening wasn't enough to stop this kind of raw power.

And then—

A voice called out from behind.

"Ryuu! Mash!"

It was Ritsuka.

"I believe in you! You can do this!"

Mash's eyes widened.

Her entire body surged with newfound energy.

(Ritsuka's Command Spell…!)

A bright crimson glow radiated from their hand—one of their Command Spells faded.

Mash's magic circuits reignited, her strength returning tenfold.

She stood up once again.

"Noble Phantasm Deployment—Lord Chaldeas!"

A massive, fortified wall rose once more—

But this time, it was brighter than before.

---

As the clash reached its climax—

A voice echoed from above.

"My magic is the cage of searing flames—"

A massive, green magical sigil lit up.

A shadow descended from the sky—a grinning warrior with a staff.

"Rise, Wicker Man!"

A towering giant of woven vines erupted beneath Artoria's feet.

The golem-like entity engulfed her in a massive flame cage, its fiery vines tightening like a death trap.

Artoria snarled, slashing wildly to free herself—

But the flames roared higher—the magical construct locking her in place.

BOOOOOOOM!!

A massive explosion engulfed the battlefield.

Silence.

The battlefield stood still.

The air smelled of smoke and burnt magic.

Mash, Ryuu, Ritsuka, and Olga stood frozen, waiting for the dust to settle.

"Did we… win?" Mash asked breathlessly.

Ryuu let out a heavy sigh.

"Looks like it."

Cú Chulainn casually walked up, resting his staff on his shoulder.

"Man… That was one hell of a fight."

Ritsuka and Olga rushed to Mash's side, checking her injuries.

Seeing her battered state, Ritsuka's expression darkened.

(If I had been stronger… She wouldn't have had to endure so much…)

But Then…

The smoke cleared—

And standing amidst the wreckage—

Was Artoria.

Blood dripped from numerous wounds, her armor shattered, her blackened Holy Sword dimming—

But she still stood.

The corrupt energy in her eyes faded, replaced with relief.

She exhaled softly.

"…The Guardian Forces have won. It seems… even in this twisted form, I still carry remnants of that man's ideals…"

She smiled faintly.

"Congratulations, Master."

Ryuu lowered his sword, exhaling.

"Saber… You were holding back at the end, weren't you?"

Artoria turned away slightly—but her silence was confirmation enough.

"You damn hypocrite," Ryuu muttered.

Even Cú Chulainn rolled his eyes.

"Oh come on, don't act like you didn't let yourself get captured."

Artoria laughed softly.

Ritsuka, Mash, and Olga simply watched in awe.

For now—the battle was over.

But the war was far from finished.
