Floating Island - Triple S Talent

Chapter 439: A space-time spear

Elsewhere, the energy cannons from the warships had ceased firing. Their task was complete—shattering the giant dragonfly's domain that had previously absorbed all incoming attacks. Now, with that obstacle gone, the primary target had changed.

Lein observed the transformation of the colossal creature. If before the black dragonfly resembled an armored insect, it now looked even more terrifying. Its body was drenched in thick black sludge, additional limbs extending from its sides, each moving with a will of their own. Its face now bore four eyes, glowing menacingly with a violet hue.

From those eyes, four beams of black energy suddenly erupted, shooting forward like spears of death. Lein could feel the immense pressure radiating from them—not just ordinary energy, but a force capable of eroding souls.

"Dodge! Don't get hit! That can destroy your soul!" Veyron shouted in warning.

Lein reacted instantly, his instincts screaming danger. He raised his hand, summoning his three soul warriors, who immediately appeared by his side.

"Protect me," he commanded briefly. The three warriors responded without hesitation, positioning themselves defensively.

Lein took a deep breath, tightening his grip on his sword. Now was the time to test his final card.

"Let's try this sword's ultimate skill," he murmured. This was a technique he had obtained after advancing to the King stage. It should, at the very least, have some effect on the creature.

Lein moved his fingertip forward, his eyes locked onto the vast sky above. The aura around him surged, causing the air to tremble as if responding to his power.

Above, countless specks of light began to appear, scattered in a seemingly random pattern. Lein focused his mind, connecting each point with precise movements until they formed a massive constellation.

"Fall," he whispered softly.

As soon as the word left his lips, the constellation began to move, as if obeying Lein's absolute command. The lights forming its shape ignited into blazing fire, plummeting downward like a meteor shower. With incredible speed, the celestial formation struck the giant dragonfly engaged in battle with Veyron and the others.

A massive explosion erupted. Light engulfed the battlefield, shaking the surrounding void. The deafening roar of the impact reverberated across the battlefield, sending tremors that could be felt by all. Thousands of Void Swarm caught in the vicinity were instantly obliterated.

Lein watched as notifications flooded his vision.

[You have killed Void Swarm. Gained 1,000 EXP. Please advance to the next stage!] x151

[You have killed Void Swarm - Elite. Gained 100,000 EXP. Please advance to the next stage!] x5

"What? 151?" Lein was shocked. His hands still felt warm, the residual pure energy swirling around his fingertips.

He raised his hand again, his eyes gleaming with newfound excitement. "Let's try again. We have ten minutes."

Without hesitation, Lein once more formed points in the sky. This time, they were more numerous, more densely packed. Once the pattern was complete, the constellation rained down again, striking the battlefield with bursts of sacred light. Lein wasted no time, continuously creating more star formations, spreading devastation upon his enemies.

"Good… just a little more!" Veyron shouted from afar.

The giant dragonfly now looked miserable. Its slime-covered body had been torn apart in several places, black blood pouring out, and some of its limbs had been severed due to the relentless attacks. Lein realized that his assault had significantly weakened the creature, making it stagger and lose focus.

This opportunity was not wasted by Veyron and his two companions. They shot forward at high speed, attacking the creature's vital points with full force.

"Give me thirty seconds! I'll finish this!" Veyron shouted to Hagar and Kael.

Hearing this, the two immediately moved, providing cover so that Veyron could prepare his final attack.

Veyron leaped back, taking a deep breath. Within his chest, lightning began to swirl, forming something. In an instant, a transparent lightning spear emerged from his body, absorbing energy from the void. The spear spun at an incredible speed, radiating pure electricity that shook the battlefield.

"A space-time spear?" Hagar exclaimed in shock. His eyes widened as he saw the transparent weapon spinning in the air, absorbing the surrounding void. Without waiting any longer, he rushed toward Veyron, ready to protect him from enemy interference.

"Lord Lein, don't let the cosmic creatures get near Lord Veyron! We must protect him!" Hagar shouted at Lein and the others.

Immediately, all attacks were redirected to hold back the Void Swarm and other cosmic creatures. The wounded giant dragonfly began showing signs of regeneration, the dark energy on its body slowly condensing, attempting to restore its original form. They had to act quickly before the creature fully recovered.

In front of Veyron, the transparent spear continued to strengthen. Glowing runes of law spread from his body, flowing into the spear, further enhancing its pure lightning aura. Lein watched the transformation closely, feeling a bit relieved. However, tension gripped him again when Kael suddenly shouted, his voice filled with worry.

"No… its domain is about to reactivate," Kael muttered, while continuously bombarding the giant dragonfly with relentless attacks.

Lein gripped his sword tighter. If the creature's domain reactivated, this battle could take a dire turn. Without hesitation, he activated Soul Constellation Dance, the flashes of his sword slicing through the air, forming a series of precise strikes that pierced various vital points of the creature.

However, amidst the suffocating tension, Veyron slowly opened his eyes. His eyebrows shimmered with streaks of lightning, gazing at the giant dragonfly with a faint smile.

"Thank you," he whispered.

Lein could hardly believe the change in expression. But before he could ask anything, the transparent spear spinning in the air suddenly fell into Veyron's grasp.

"Step back..." he said calmly, and in an instant, he had already shot toward the giant dragonfly.

The creature seemed to recognize the approaching threat. Thick black beams shot from its body, targeting Veyron with incredible speed. However, without hesitation, Veyron raised one hand. Instantly, a massive lightning dragon appeared, roaring ferociously before crushing the black beams with a single bite.

Once he was close enough, Veyron stopped in his tracks, his body poised. Both hands gripped the spear tightly, and with one powerful motion, he hurled it straight toward the dragonfly's chest.

Space seemed to freeze.

The spear tore through the void, its trajectory unwavering, bending the space around it. In the blink of an eye, it was already right in front of the creature's chest.

CRACK!
