Genshin Impact: I Opened Blind Boxes in Liyue

Chapter 27: The Prinzessin's Fateful Glimpse

The wind of Mondstadt swept past the church spires as Fischl stood under the awning of the Good Hunter, her fingers tracing the edges of the newly acquired gilded camera from the blind box shop. Oz's feathers shimmered with a metallic purple hue under the sunlight, his beak pecking at the ribbon wrapped around the packaging.

"How dare such a crude vessel attempt to contain the supreme artifact of the Immernachtreich?" The girl tilted her head, the star-and-moon-adorned eyepatch catching the light as Electro energy crackled at her fingertips. With a snap, the packaging burst open, and a bronze-colored box camera floated in the air, its lens rim glowing like stardust.

Sara, who was wiping glasses behind the counter, flinched. "Your Highness, my awning..."

"The losses of mortals shall be compensated by the Auge der Verurteilung!" Fischl raised the camera and aimed it at the startled waitress. The shutter clicked, startling the pigeons in the square. A photo slowly emerged—Sara was wearing cat ears and mixing drinks at the Cat's Tail, with老板娘 Margaret holding a "Welcome New Employee" banner in the background.

"Miss, it seems you've captured a parallel world," Oz quipped, but his remark was cut off by the commotion outside.

Klee came bouncing into the restaurant, a half-smoked Jumpy Dumpty sticking out of her backpack. "Big Sister Fischl! I heard you got a new toy!" The little red figure lunged forward, and Fischl instinctively pressed the shutter. The photo showed Klee in a Liyue-style qipao, feeding rice balls to Qiqi, with Hu Tao dancing a yangko at the entrance of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.

"Wow! Klee wants to go to the world with rice balls!" The little girl reached for the camera but was promptly grabbed by the collar by Acting Grand Master Jean, who had just arrived. The Dandelion Knight's cape knocked over three chairs, giving Fischl the perfect opportunity to aim the lens at her.

"Your Highness, please don't—" Jean's warning caught in her throat as the photo developed. It showed her in a frilly dress, tap-dancing on the Windblume Festival stage, with Diluce clapping and Kaeya stifling laughter in the audience.

Oz, seeing Jean's ears turning red, silently blocked the exit with his wings.

As night fell, Fischl crouched on the roof of Angel's Share. Through the camera's viewfinder, she saw Diluce in the wine cellar, polishing his Vision, his dark red hair falling over his scar. Just as she was about to press the shutter, an icicle whizzed past her ear and embedded itself in the roof tiles.

"Peeping isn't very ladylike," Kaeya leaned against the chimney, twirling a dagger, the moonlight casting eerie shadows on his eyepatch.

"I am capturing the fragments of the Darknight Hero's destiny!" Fischl spun around and aimed the lens at the Cavalry Captain. The photo that emerged left both of them stunned—a young Kaeya and Diluce sparring under a grapevine, their wooden swords of ice blue and fiery red frozen mid-clash.

The tavern door creaked open, and Diluce appeared on the rooftop with a glass of grape juice. As their eyes met, the camera in Fischl's arms suddenly vibrated violently. Unused photo paper floated into the air, forming a star chart above Mondstadt.

"Miss, these light points seem to be coordinates of intersecting fates..." Oz's words were swallowed by the wind. When the last piece of photo paper slotted into the star chart, all the elemental lamps in the city went out. The camera lens projected a massive illusion—Venti from five hundred years ago, playing the Skyward Harp amidst ruins, tears streaming down his face as they fell on the broken strings.

"Ah, my dark past has been exposed," the real Anemo Archon appeared atop the bell tower, glowing harp strings wrapped around his fingers. "As hush money, how about I let you take a more interesting photo, Your Highness?"

Before Fischl could react, Venti had already slung an arm around her and the two Darknight Heroes. As the shutter clicked, the star chart transformed into countless glowing butterflies, carrying the fragments of stolen memories into the depths of the sky.

By noon the next day, Lisa strolled into the blind box shop, flipping through a newly acquired photo album. "Sweetie," she slapped a contract crackling with Electro energy onto the counter, "I'll pay triple for last night's star chart data." Ling Feng glanced at the album's title—*On the Correlation Between Temporal Photography and Ley Line Anomalies*—and silently hung a "Sold Out" sign on the photography blind box display.

Meanwhile, in the Knights of Favonius archives, Jean was massaging her temples in front of a safe filled with photos. On the top was a group photo—Diluce with a dark expression and Kaeya with an awkward smile, sandwiched around Venti making bunny ears. In the corner, Klee's scribbled "Acting Grand Master Jean is the prettiest" was barely visible.

The wind of Mondstadt still carried the scent of dandelion wine, but Fischl wandered the square, clutching her suddenly malfunctioning camera. When Oz reminded her for the eighth time to change the film, the girl suddenly clenched her fist. "Oz! To Liyue we go! Only the eternal visage of the Geo Archon is worthy of restarting this Eye of Fate!"

Zhongli set down his teacup, feeling an inexplicable chill run down his spine.
