Genshin Impact: I Opened Blind Boxes in Liyue

Chapter 7: Lumine's Arrival and the Start of the Rite of Descension

As night deepened over Liyue Harbor, the bustling streets remained alive with activity as people made their final preparations for the upcoming Rite of Descension. The glow of lanterns illuminated the layered architecture, casting the entire harbor in a unique, golden splendor.

Ling Feng sat behind the counter of his blind box shop, propping his chin on his hand as he gazed at the array of blind boxes before him. He couldn't help but ponder: *Business has been decent lately, but the quality of customers is... questionable, especially a certain someone with the surname Hu...*

Recalling the chaos from the previous day, when Hu Tao had turned into a ghost and floated around Liyue Harbor, scaring the daylights out of everyone, Ling Feng shuddered.

"My blind box shop is a place of business, not a horror theme park..." he muttered to himself.

Just as he was lamenting the hardships of entrepreneurship, the sound of light footsteps approached from outside.

*Ding-ling—*

The door opened, and a familiar figure walked in.

Golden hair swayed gently in the breeze, and amber eyes filled with curiosity scanned the room. Beside her floated a small, white companion, looking around with equal interest.

"Huh? Is this the legendary 'Miracle Blind Box Shop' of Liyue?" Paimon exclaimed, her eyes lighting up.

Ling Feng glanced over and immediately recognized the newcomers. A smile tugged at his lips. "Well, well, if it isn't the Traveler, Lumine! What brings you here?"

Lumine smiled and stepped forward. "I heard there's a special blind box shop in Liyue Harbor that sells all sorts of incredible things. I was curious, so I came to take a look."

Paimon chimed in, "Yeah, yeah! We've heard so many people in Liyue talking about it! They say the blind boxes here can give you super amazing things! Even skills that turn you into a ghost!"

At the mention of "ghost skills," Ling Feng's mouth twitched. "Uh, that was just a small accident, definitely not my intention..."

Paimon immediately took a step back, wary. "You're not planning to give Lumine a 'ghost skill,' are you?!"

Ling Feng rolled his eyes. "Don't worry, I don't want another ghost floating around Liyue."

Lumine chuckled softly, her gaze falling on the blind boxes on the counter. "So... can I give it a try?"

Ling Feng shrugged. "Sure, but it'll cost you. Ten thousand Mora per box."

Paimon clapped her hands. "Deal! Lumine's got plenty of Mora to spare!"

Ling Feng raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? Business has been good lately?"

Paimon puffed out her chest proudly. "Of course! Lumine's a hero! Everyone in Liyue loves her!"

Lumine shook her head with a hint of exasperation but didn't deny it.

Ling Feng smiled and handed her a brand-new blind box. "Alright, good luck."

Lumine took the box and gently opened it. A soft glow emanated from within, and a golden orb slowly floated out. A system notification chimed—

**[Congratulations! You have obtained the blind box reward: 'Adepti Communication Talisman' (Temporarily establishes a soul link with an adeptus)]**

Ling Feng's eyes widened, and Paimon gasped. "Wow! That's amazing!"

Lumine was equally surprised. She reached out and touched the golden light, feeling a faint, mysterious connection.

Ling Feng stroked his chin thoughtfully. "This ability... could be very useful in Liyue Harbor."

"What do you mean?" Lumine asked, tilting her head.

Ling Feng grinned. "You've come at the perfect time. The Rite of Descension is about to begin. During the ceremony, the Qixing will pray to the Geo Archon at the Jade Chamber and announce the will of the adepti to the people of Liyue."

"But..." He gave Lumine a meaningful look. "If you use that 'Adepti Communication Talisman' to contact a real adeptus during the ceremony... well, things could get very interesting."

Lumine nodded thoughtfully, while Paimon buzzed around excitedly. "That would be so cool! If you could talk to an adeptus during the ceremony, everyone in Liyue would be shocked!"

"Exactly," Ling Feng said with a mischievous smile. "It'd be way more impactful than any fancy ritual."

Lumine tightened her grip on the talisman, her resolve firming.

She had a feeling that this blind box's reward was no mere coincidence...

---

The next morning, the dawn light bathed Liyue Harbor in a golden glow. The streets were bustling as people, dressed in their finest attire, eagerly made their way toward Yujing Terrace. A grand stage had been set up, and the Jade Chamber floated high above, majestic and sacred.

Ningguang, the Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing, stood on the high platform in her resplendent robes, her expression solemn as she prepared to preside over the ceremony. Beside her were the other members of the Qixing, all dressed formally.

Down below, among the crowd, a golden-haired girl stood quietly, her gaze deep and focused.

Paimon whispered, "Lumine, are you really going to try it?"

Lumine nodded and gently took out the Adepti Communication Talisman. She murmured softly, preparing to activate its mysterious power at the climax of the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Ling Feng stood leisurely at the back of the crowd, a knowing smile playing on his lips. "Hehe, it looks like this year's Rite of Descension is going to be more exciting than ever..."
