Chapter 3: Chapter 3

"Lady Yae, you don't mind that I killed those people earlier, do you?" Akio glanced at Yae Miko, who was walking beside him.

"Not at all," Yae Miko shook her head. A group of bandits wasn't worth her concern. They had been terrorizing the people for a long time, and she thought their deaths were a blessing.

"Hmm," Akio nodded. Perhaps it was the absolute confidence brought by the Herrscher of the Void's power? He felt no discomfort after killing them.

"Lady Yae, could you tell me more about Inazuma? I plan to stay here for a while," Akio said. "Along the way, I've heard a lot of people talking about something called the Sakoku Decree and the Vision Hunt Decree."

"That's right," Yae Miko nodded softly, catching a falling cherry blossom petal in her hand.

"Inazuma, one of the seven nations of Teyvat, is ruled by the Electro Archon, the Raiden Shogun. The Shogun believes in eternity, and to achieve her vision of eternity, she enacted the Sakoku Decree and the Vision Hunt Decree," Yae Miko explained.

"She has cut off all communication with the outside world and is forcibly confiscating Visions from the people."

"The Sakoku Decree has severely impacted Inazuma's economy and the livelihood of its people," Yae Miko said with a hint of sadness.

"As you can see, Inazuma is now in ruins. And my irresponsible old friend has secluded herself in a corner, wallowing in her own despair."

"Leaving a dull and lifeless puppet to manage the nation—how can a rigid machine possibly lead a country?" Yae Miko's voice carried a tinge of anger. Inazuma was her beloved homeland, and she couldn't bear to see it like this.

"It seems she truly is an irresponsible deity," Akio shook his head. They were approaching Inazuma City, and it seemed the place where he had landed wasn't far from it.

Suddenly, a ball rolled over and stopped at Akio's feet.

Akio picked it up, and a little girl ran over, looking at him with wide eyes. Not far away, a group of shy children watched nervously.

The little girl was as delicate as a porcelain doll, her youthful face still carrying the joy of playing with her friends.

"Little girl, is this your ball?" Akio crouched down and asked gently.

"Handsome big brother, it's my ball. I'm so sorry for bothering you," the little girl quickly apologized.

"Good girl," Akio gently patted her head, then took out a piece of candy from his pocket, unwrapped it, and handed it to her.

"Thank you, big brother!" The little girl popped the candy into her mouth, savoring the sweet taste, and smiled happily.

"Watch this, I'll show you a trick," Akio stood up, looking at the nearby hoop.

The little girl watched eagerly as Akio threw the ball, and it landed perfectly in the hoop.

"Wow! Big brother is amazing!" The little girl clapped her hands in delight. Children's happiness was so simple.

"Here, take these candies and share them with your friends. Big brother has some things to do," Akio said, taking out a handful of candies and placing them in the little girl's hands.

"Thank you, big brother! Goodbye!" The little girl ran off happily, eager to share the delicious candies with her friends.

Akio stood up and noticed Yae Miko staring at him intently.

"What's wrong?" Akio asked curiously.

"Nothing, I'm just a bit surprised. As a deity, you can still get along so well with children?" Yae Miko shook her head, her expression one of mild astonishment.

"I really like the adorable smiles of these well-behaved children," Akio smiled. After all, he was still a young man, a child at heart.

As long as they weren't brats, human children were so cute!

"Alright, do you have any more of those candies?" Yae Miko extended her fair, jade-like hand.

"I happen to have two left," Akio took out the last two pieces of milk candy from his pocket and placed one in Yae Miko's hand.

"So sweet!" Yae Miko popped the candy into her mouth, a sweet smile spreading across her face. "Ei would probably like this taste too, wouldn't she?"

"..." Akio was momentarily stunned as he watched Yae Miko's sweet smile.

In the game, she had always been mischievous and teasing.

When had she ever shown such a sweet side? But then again, being multifaceted was one of her defining traits, so it wasn't entirely out of character.

Still, there was no denying it—Yae Miko in her sweet mode was utterly captivating. Truly befitting of a fox spirit.

"Ding~ Congratulations, host, for witnessing Yae Miko's most beautiful side and being captivated by it. Unlocking title attribute template—Teyvat's Most Devoted."

"Title Attribute Description: You are the most devoted man in all of Teyvat. Being a romantic can also mean being deeply devoted. You have an extremely high affinity with any individual of the opposite gender. As long as you don't violate their principles, they will choose to trust you and become your friends. Your confessions of love are more likely to be accepted, and if successful, you will gain all of their abilities."

"???" Akio was jolted awake by the system's voice, his expression a mix of confusion and amusement. The system's trigger conditions were truly… unpredictable.

But what was this "Teyvat's Most Devoted" thing? And such a benefit? Coming to Teyvat and not getting close to his waifus—what would be the point?

Akio glanced at Yae Miko.

Sure enough, under the influence of his "Teyvat's Most Devoted" title, her previously guarded demeanor had relaxed significantly.

"Up ahead is Uyuu Restaurant. It's almost mealtime, shall we go eat together?" Yae Miko suddenly invited.

"Uyuu Restaurant's fried tofu is absolutely divine."

"I've heard about fried tofu for a long time but never had the chance to try it. Today, I'd like to taste the fried tofu of this world," Akio's eyes lit up. He had always wanted to try fried tofu, but in his previous life, he could only find tofu puffs in hot pot restaurants.

"But I don't have any Mora," Akio sighed. If only he had his previous life's backpack, with its billions of Mora, he could live happily in Teyvat, right?

"It's a small matter. I'll treat you. Why should Lord Akio worry about such trivial things?"

Since the "Teyvat's Most Devoted" title had activated, Yae Miko seemed less reserved around him and had returned to her mischievous self, even addressing him with a teasing "Lord Akio."

"Though Mora isn't easy to come by, if Lord Akio could agree to one thing, the Grand Narukami Shrine could cover all your expenses in Inazuma from now on," Yae Miko said with a playful smile.

"Oh? What is it? Do tell," Akio's excitement grew. The Grand Narukami Shrine covering his expenses? Did that mean he could just send the bills to the shrine from now on?
