Chapter 3: Chapter 3: The Skeleton Warrior Coming Out of the Garbage Dump
Suddenly, a classmate shouted, "Look! There's movement in the dark clouds!"
All eyes turned skyward.
A faint fire flickered within the ominous dark clouds. The small flames seemed to hover and sway in the air, rising and falling with a rhythm of their own. But there was more to it than just fire. A strange, unnerving sound accompanied the flames—a rattling noise that sent chills down everyone's spine.
Finally, a sharp-eyed student squinted and saw what lay hidden within the clouds. His face turned pale, and he stumbled back, falling to the ground in terror.
"It's… skeletons! The dark clouds are full of skeletons!" he cried, his voice trembling.
With his exclamation, the entire phenomenon was revealed.
The dark clouds parted slightly, and countless skeletons were visible, densely packed and glowing faintly with pale white light. The flames were the soul fires burning within their hollow skulls. The sight was grotesque and terrifying, causing many students to gasp and instinctively step back.
Although everyone knew this was a vision brought on by Marsh's job transfer, the overwhelming image of thousands of skeletons sent shivers down their spines.
Then, one of the soul flames descended from the sky, spiraling down and landing on Marsh.
In an instant, the vision dissipated. The sky cleared, the dark clouds vanished, and the eerie rattling ceased. Everything returned to normal as if nothing had happened.
[Unique Hidden Occupation: Necromancer]
The announcement echoed in the air, leaving everyone stunned.
It wasn't a rare occupation. It wasn't even legendary. It was something far more extraordinary—a hidden occupation.
And not just any hidden occupation. It was the only one of its kind.
This meant that Marsh's job as a Necromancer was unique in the entire world. Unless Marsh perished, no one else could inherit this occupation.
The crowd erupted into murmurs of awe and disbelief.
"Marsh is amazing! He actually got a hidden occupation, and it's unique!"
"How could he be so lucky? Did the magic circle glitch or something?"
"Hidden jobs aren't necessarily strong. History has shown plenty of hidden occupations that turned out to be useless."
"True, they're rare, but that doesn't always mean powerful."
"But did you see that vision? It was horrifying! And his job is Necromancer—does that mean he'll have to deal with the dead all the time?"
"Well, Marsh is already so quiet. Dealing with skeletons won't make much difference for him."
Marsh stepped down from the magic circle, his expression calm and unreadable. While he felt some excitement over acquiring such a unique hidden job, he saw no need to display his emotions outwardly.
"Wait a moment," Master Kong called out as Marsh passed by.
Marsh stopped and turned, bowing slightly out of respect. "What can I do for you, senior?" he asked in his usual soft tone.
Master Kong observed him with interest. "Your occupation is rare—so rare I've never seen it before. Would you mind demonstrating one of your skills?"
Marsh thought for a moment before nodding. "Of course. Please wait a moment."
He hadn't yet familiarized himself with his new abilities, so he quickly opened his status screen to review his attributes and skills.

[Name: Marsh]
[Occupation: Necromancer (Unique)]
[Level: 1 (0.00%)]
[Strength: 10]
[Agility: 10]
[Spirit: 20]
[Constitution: 10]
[Equipment: None]
[Summon Space: 0/10]
[Skills: Soul Flame (Level 1), Summon Skeleton Warrior (Level 1)]
---
[Soul Flame (Level 1): Burns the target's soul, causing continuous damage. The power depends on the user's Spirit attribute and the skill's level.]
[Summon Skeleton Warrior (Level 1): Summons a black-iron level skeleton warrior. (Skeletons can be ranked from Black Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Legendary, to God-level.)]
Marsh analyzed the information carefully. His Spirit attribute was clearly his strongest, confirming that his occupation was mage-based. However, the summoning ability leaned toward a summoner archetype.
To avoid alarming everyone with Soul Flame, he decided to demonstrate Summon Skeleton Warrior instead.
Activating the skill, Marsh extended his hand. A swirling black vortex materialized next to him, emitting a chilling aura. From the vortex emerged a skeleton warrior, its bones dull and cracked, barely holding together.
The crowd gasped.
The skeleton's appearance was far from intimidating. Its body was riddled with fractures, and its rusty sword looked like it had been scavenged from a garbage dump. The entire skeleton gave off the impression that it might crumble at any moment.
Marsh noticed his Spirit attribute had dropped from 20 to 10—half consumed by the summoning. He quickly examined the summoned creature's stats.
---
[Black-Iron Skeleton Warrior]
[Strength: 15]
[Agility: 15]
[Spirit: 15]
[Constitution: 15]
[Skills: None]

The stats were balanced across the board, but the skeleton lacked any skills and could only perform basic attacks. It wasn't particularly impressive at this stage.
Despite its frail appearance, the students recoiled in fear at the sight of the skeleton. Many instinctively stepped back, unable to suppress their unease.
"That thing is terrifying!"
"It looks like it crawled out of a graveyard!"
A few bold students, like Kevin, didn't move. Instead, they stared at the skeleton with curiosity, intrigued by its strange appearance.
Master Kong, however, remained calm. He extended a finger, releasing a small gust of wind that struck the skeleton warrior.
In response, the skeleton's eyes glowed red, and the soul fire within its skull flared violently.
---
[The skeleton warrior is under attack. Will it retaliate? (If no choice is made within 10 seconds, it will automatically counterattack.)]
---
The notification appeared in Marsh's mind, and he quickly commanded the skeleton not to move.
Master Kong smiled, clearly impressed. "Your awareness is commendable," he said.
Marsh simply nodded, maintaining his composure.
Kevin, watching from the side, grinned. "Marsh's skeleton looks like it's about to fall apart, but it still gives me chills," he said, half-jokingly.
"It may look weak now," Master Kong remarked, "but don't underestimate a Necromancer's potential. With proper growth, this occupation could become incredibly powerful."
David, who had been silent until now, smiled proudly. "I knew Marsh was special. A unique hidden occupation… our school will be remembered for years!"
Jeny, however, stood in the crowd, her fists clenched tightly. She refused to accept defeat.
"A skeleton? That's all he summoned? What's so special about that? My Elemental Mage is far superior!" she muttered to herself, trying to suppress her frustration.
Meanwhile, Marsh dismissed the skeleton warrior and stepped back into the crowd, his face as calm as ever. But deep down, he felt a spark of excitement.
For Marsh, the journey as a Necromancer was just beginning.
