Yu Jiao Yu looked at the house which was as grand as the house of the magistrate that he saw once when he was travelling through the town and was dumbfounded.

He still couldn't believe that this house belonged to his niece! What had Yu Dong done in the past few months that she had gotten so rich? He turned to look at Yu Le as if waiting for him to say that Yu Dong had been joking but instead heard him say to his mer sons,

"Wash your feet with cold water, relieve the heat. It must have been quite troublesome for you to travel for so long in the heat." They wanted to travel to the village at night but after so much excitement — Yu Le agreed with Yu Dong, that it was better to leave before the Kong family caused another trouble.

"Yes uncle," Liu Cui and the rest nodded as they went to wash their feet, they had indeed been sweating a lot because the heat in the afternoon was simply unbearable.

"This— how could it even be possible?" Yu Jiao Yu turned his head to the right and looked at his brother. "How could she suddenly earn so much money?"

Yu Le glanced at Yu Jiao Yu with a smile and raised his head before patting him on the head, "Come there is a lot that we need to tell you."

But before the two of them could take another step, there was a loud yelp followed by, " YU DONG!"

Yu Dong, who was trying to sneak out of the house, stiffened when she heard Shen Li's roar. "What. Have. You. Done?" He asked as he strode past the door of the main house.

Behind him, four other mers came hurtling out of the house as they looked at Yu Dong as well.

"What happened to your hair?" Shen Li asked as he came to a stop in front of Yu Dong. His eyes flickered to the shortened locks of his wife before turning to look at Yu Dong who was looking everywhere but him.

His eyes narrowed upon seeing her actions, "What is the meaning of this? I thought I told you to just pick up Uncle Jiao Yu."

"Look behind you," replied Yu Dong as she pointed at the elderly mer behind Shen Li. "I brought him safe and sound."

"Do you call this safe and sound?" Shen Li asked darkly as he pulled at the locks that were chopped off roughly. "You look like you were grabbed by a bunch of mad dogs."

"Not mad dogs, Brother-in-law!" Yu Mai who had been painfully waiting till now burst out. "My sister fought monsters. They were attacking us and my sister went bam, bam..bam! She kicked and pushed them and then bam!"

Shen Li listened to Yu Mai's words carefully when he realised what the mer was trying to tell him, his eyes widened and he pinched Yu Dong's ear. "You—you are really daring. Did you forget that you have children?"

"And Husbands," Chen Mi chimed from behind with a blaming glance at Yu Dong. "I bet that you were thinking of saving the world over your life again, right?"

"Of course not—"

"Don't you dare to lie!" Ye Liu snarled as he walked over and pulled the side of her sleeves, there were a few scratches on her skin which had healed but Ye Liu knew the healing ability of his wife.

These wounds haven't healed yet which means that—the wounds on her body were deep.

"Come inside with me," Shen Li hissed at Yu Dong as he pulled her inside the house. He bowed at Yu Le and Yu Jiao Yu.

Yu Le was calm but Yu Jiao Yu was simply scared out of his wits. He thought that Yu Dong was going to lose her temper at her husband's at any moment.

But the woman remained calm and let Shen Li drag her inside without a fuss.

"What—what just happened?" Yu Jiao Yu looked at Yu Le who was calmer than the pond sitting in the middle of the house.

Yu Le calmly sighed and patted Yu Jiao Yu. He said to him, "This is nothing new. Apparently, Dong Dong says that there is nothing wrong with respecting her mer husbands."

"You mean to say that she is not angry?" Yu Jiao Yu asked Yu Le who snorted. "Angry? I am certain that she is really pleased that her husbands are fussing over her."

Yu Jiao Yu: "…"

Yu Mai : "…"

He turned to look at Lang Ru and asked her, "Did I make a mistake?"

Lang Ru who just came out of the house to meet Yu Mai: ".."

"No," though her conscience hurt, Lang Ru shook her head and then replied to Yu Mai, "You didn't do anything wrong. It is your sister who did the wrong thing."

"By the way, how was your trip? Was it good?" Lang Ru asked Yu Mai.

"It was good! It was super good," Yu Mai didn't say that he had been kidnapped twice. His uncle taught him that it would be bad for him if others were to find out that he was kidnapped. "How about you, sister Ru? Did you have fun? I asked my friends to play with you."

Who knew as soon as he said those words, Lang Ru's face turned black? She said to him, "Mai, don't get me wrong. But I think you need to make some new friends. They are really bad, recently they have been playing with Du Nuanuan and condemning you."

"What!!?" Yu Mai screeched when he heard Lang Ru's words. "They are condemning me? I also gave them my chicks." Yu Mai was simply shocked to his bones, he had treated his friends so well but they were talking bad about him behind his back.

They also befriended Du Nuannuan.
