Kenji strode toward the Dungeon entrance, his mind focused.

Then—

A heat.

A gaze so intense it felt like flames licking his skin.

It wasn't hostile.

No—

It was hungry. Fascinated.

Kenji's golden eyes sharpened, scanning the towering Babel Tower in the distance.

The feeling vanished instantly.

"…Tch."

His fingers twitched against the hilt of his sword.

But there was nothing.

No lingering trace.

With a quiet sigh, Kenji turned away and kept walking.

---

At the Dungeon's entrance, a small figure stood waiting.

A girl—barely over his waist in height.

A massive backpack nearly swallowed her entire frame.

Her red-purple hair peeked from beneath her hood.

"Lord Kenji!"

Liliruca Arde's face lit up the moment she spotted him.

She took two small steps forward, smiling brightly.

Kenji returned a small nod, stepping beside her.

Without a word, they descended into the Dungeon.

---

Far above, in the tallest spire of Babel Tower—

A woman collapsed onto her throne, gasping.

Her pale fingers trembled against her own lips.

Her body—flushed with heat.

"…Ahh~."

Her breath hitched.

That light.

That soul.

A radiance she had never seen before.

She shuddered, clutching her arms.

"…I must have him."

Freya, the Goddess of Beauty, smiled in ecstasy.

---

Five Days Later

Kenji's daily routine had become almost mechanical.

Mornings were spent on the city wall, training Ais in magic reinforcement.

Afternoons were for Dungeon exploration with Lili.

Evenings were filled with status updates and refining his skills.

Lili had grown used to him.

More than that—she had grown to trust him.

---

At the Dungeon entrance, Lili tilted her head.

"Lord Kenji, are we heading to the 16th floor again today?"

Kenji glanced at her.

"Not exactly."

"We're going to the 17th floor today."

"If possible… I want to take down the big guy there."

Lili's eyes widened.

The big guy?

"…You mean Goliath?"

Kenji nodded.

Lili swallowed hard.

The Goliath, a titan-class Dungeon boss, was at least LV4 in strength.

But—

After spending five days with Kenji, she had seen his power firsthand.

If anyone could do it—he could.

Without another word, she followed him inside.

---

The 17th floor was different.

No twisting tunnels.

No interconnected chambers.

Just a vast, empty battlefield.

Massive stone walls enclosed the area.

And at the center—

A single monster awaited.

---

As Kenji and Lili stepped onto the floor—

CRACK—BOOM!

The walls split apart.

Chunks of rock and debris tumbled down.

A massive hand emerged first—clawing free from the stone.

Then—

A monstrous figure pulled itself from the earth.

Six meters tall.

Thick, unbreakable hide.

Burning red eyes.

Goliath.

It let out a thunderous roar, shaking the entire floor.

Then—

It charged.

Like a landslide of flesh and muscle, barreling straight for them.

Lili staggered backward.

She had never felt such crushing force before.

But then—

Kenji's voice reached her.

"Stay back."

---

As Goliath thundered forward—

A golden light ignited in Kenji's grasp.

A sword unlike any other materialized.

The Sword of Promised Victory—Excalibur.

Lili stared in awe.

She felt it—

A presence so holy, so radiant, that it made her eyes sting.

Kenji lifted the legendary blade overhead.

Light gathered around him, swirling like a golden storm.

"This is…"

Lili's voice was barely a whisper.

"…The radiance of the gods."

Her hands trembled.

For a moment, she forgot her fear.

She forgot everything.

All she felt was—

Awe.

---

The light intensified—

Then—

Kenji swung down.

"EX—CALIBUR!"

A searing golden beam erupted forward.

The very air shuddered.

The floor split apart.

The sheer force of the attack sent shockwaves roaring through the battlefield.

And in an instant—

Goliath was gone.

Not even its magic crystal remained.

The boss had been vaporized completely.

The battlefield fell silent.

---

Kenji lowered his sword.

His golden light faded.

Then—

His eye twitched.

"…Damn."

He glanced around the battlefield.

There was nothing left.

Even Goliath's loot—its rare magic crystal—had been destroyed.

"…I probably shouldn't use Excalibur in the Dungeon again."

Lili, still frozen in shock, slowly turned to look at him.

Kenji coughed awkwardly.

"…Oops?"

---

Then—

Ding!

A voice rang in his mind.

"Congratulations, Host! You have killed Goliath and obtained a three-star treasure chest."

Kenji's eyebrow lifted.

"Oh?"

He checked his system space.

There—

A black and gold chest shimmered, waiting.

Kenji smirked.

"Open."

The chest glowed brightly—

Then vanished.

A new item appeared in his inventory.

Item Acquired: One-Time Use of Longinus' True Name Release

A single-use card with a crimson spear emblazoned upon it.

Kenji's eyes widened slightly.

"Longinus?"
